Chapter 300 Does He Really Not Love Sarah？
Oliver was caught off guard for a second. Without thinking, he hurried upstairs, shouting, "Olivia, take Ms. Johnson to the guest room."
Olivia had already seen the flirty scene earlier but kept her mouth shut.
She felt bad for Sarah, thinking, 'Poor girl, seeing that must've made her feel awful. Sarah already didn't like Oliver, and now she probably wouldn't even want him near her.'
Olivia couldn't stand Ellie. She walked up to her with a stern look and said, "Ms. Johnson, let's go!"
Ellie was fuming. She didn't expect Oliver to be so cold, just leaving like that. Plus, she was already turned on; what was she supposed to do now?
Ellie called out seductively, "Oliver!"
Oliver ignored her and went straight to Sarah. Sarah kept backing up until she was pressed against the railing, her face streaked with tears—not from sadness, but from disgust.
The lighting was soft, yet their eyes were hard to read. Sarah knew he had other women, but she didn't expect Oliver to hook up with someone here, especially after he had just held her.
Sarah thought he was such a jerk! But she had to act like she didn't get what had happened. She buried her face in her arms, trying to escape reality.
"Sarah!" Oliver leaned over and picked her up. She struggled fiercely in his arms.
Olivia called out worriedly, "Mr. Windsor!"
Oliver ignored her, carrying Sarah straight back to the master bedroom. Inside, Jacob was sleeping soundly, the air filled with the milky scent of a child, making everything seem so warm and cozy.
But Oliver's actions shattered this atmosphere. He didn't go to the bed; he placed Sarah on the couch and immediately covered her. He didn't give her any time to react, his hands slipping into her silk nightgown.
Oliver didn't actually go all the way, but sometimes, one-sided teasing was even more torturous, especially since her body was so sensitive. He was the one messing around with other women, but now he was punishing her, pressing her face into the couch. She couldn't take it and softly called out his name, "Oliver, stop."
Oliver didn't take it all the way.
He slowly leaned down, getting close to her, pressing his forehead against hers, their noses touching, even their breaths intertwining.
Oliver cupped her face, his voice hoarse, "Don't cry, I won't touch you."
Sarah's body trembled. She suddenly turned her face to the side, her eyes glistening with tears.
Meanwhile, Olivia led Ellie to the guest room on the northernmost side of the first floor.
Ellie dropped her luggage, expressing her dissatisfaction, "The lighting is so terrible here; the sunshine doesn't even come in during the day. I'm not staying!"
Olivia couldn't stand homewreckers like Ellie. With a cold expression, she said bluntly, "It's just for a couple of days, Ms. Johnson. You don't think you can stay here and become 'Mrs. Windsor,' do you? If Mr. Windsor wanted that, he wouldn't have put you in the guest room, would he?"
The last sentence had a hint of sarcasm.
Ellie was a senior executive at the company, after all. How could she tolerate being treated like this by a servant? She sneered, "Aren't you afraid I'll tell Mr. Windsor?"
Olivia mocked, "Mr. Windsor is busy comforting Mrs. Windsor right now; he probably doesn't have time to see you! Even if you're dissatisfied, you better bear with it. We all listen to Mr. Windsor. If he valued you enough, I guarantee you'd always be a VIP here!"
With that, Olivia walked away.
Ellie was fuming, but she knew Olivia had a point.
She had always been confident, thinking she understood Oliver better and that she was more suited to stand by his side compared to Sarah. She loved the envious gazes from others.
But when they appeared together, Oliver chose Sarah without hesitation. It was clear Sarah was more important to him.
Ellie knew this; she just couldn't accept it. She made do with the guest room for the night.
Early in the morning, she got up, wrapped in a thick down jacket, and went out to enjoy the snowy scenery. This villa was designed by a famous architect with a beautiful view.
In the backyard, there was a greenhouse.
Olivia was smiling as she accompanied Sarah in picking fresh roses, Sarah's face full of joy. Sarah carefully picked the flowers, creating a beautiful scene.
Suddenly, Ellie felt a pang of jealousy. While she was out drinking and socializing with Oliver, nearly giving herself a stomach ulcer, and working day and night on projects, Sarah was being pampered by Oliver, living a peaceful and happy life here.
Sarah was pure and beautiful. This purity was nurtured by Oliver's lavish spending, shielding her from all the filth.
Oliver always said he didn't love Sarah, but did he really not? If he didn't, why was he so panicked last night?
Probably out of anger, Ellie started picking roses. She was in such a hurry that she pricked her fingers several times.
Olivia hurried over, "Ms. Johnson, Mr. Windsor planted these flowers especially for Mrs. Windsor to cheer her up. How can you pick them?"
Hearing her words, Ellie sneered and quickly picked a large bunch, cradling them in her arms as she shot a provocative look at Olivia.
Olivia said with trembling lips, "Mr. Windsor will be angry!"
These roses were planted by Oliver for Sarah when they first came to Dawnstar. Back then, he spent all his time with Sarah, hoping she would get better. Even though they were divorced now, these roses carried a different meaning. Olivia, having been through it, understood Oliver.
Ellie didn't believe it. She thought, 'It's just a bunch of roses. Oliver won't do anything to me.'
She took the roses back to her room, found a crystal vase, and arranged them. Just as she finished, there was a knock on the door.
Ellie guessed who it was and ran to open the door. Sure enough, Oliver was standing at the door.
