Chapter 9
There were also several other bodyguards in suits whose eyes didn't look much better either.
Susie walked straight toward Matt.
"Are you ready?"
"My dear fiancé?"
Matt's arm settled on Susie's waist, applying slight pressure.
"I think we need to leave quickly," Matt said.
Susie nodded, then handed her backpack to Sim.
"You should be happy to help."
Sim nodded. How could Miss Susie know his answer?
Susie couldn't care less about what Sim was thinking. She just reached out, grabbed Matt's belt, and pulled him away.
In the stairwell, Susie ran into Bana.
Bana looked Susie over, along with the several men behind her.
"Morning," Susie greeted.
"You look like you're being held hostage right now," Bana said.
"Don't get the wrong idea, I'm not a hostage," Susie waved her hand to explain.
"So, can you let us leave?" Susie stared at Bana.
"Are you coming back?" Bana asked Susie in return.
Susie shook her head, "I don't know."
She wasn't lying. She really didn't know.
Bana stepped forward and gently lifted Susie's face, "If you need help, call me anytime, even if it's just a code word..."
Susie nodded, feeling a bit sad.
Bana turned her face toward Matt and said, "I trust you'll protect her well."
Matt nodded, "Please rest assured, I definitely will."
"Then..." Bana's gaze fell on the door that had been violently destroyed.
"I'll arrange for someone to fix the door," Matt said somewhat awkwardly.
Finally, Bana stepped aside and said, "Please go ahead."
A black Mercedes G-Class was parked by the roadside, followed by a black SUV.
Gian was leaning lazily against the car and took the initiative to greet Susie, "Hey, little wildcat."
"Bastard!" Susie said slowly.
She punched Gian hard in the face.
Gian fell against the black SUV.
When she wanted to keep hitting him, Matt reached out to stop her.
"I know you're angry, but at least not here," Matt said quietly, trying to persuade her.
"He deserves it!" Susie said through gritted teeth.
Matt licked his lips and said, "Although I know you're right, let's just forget it. I don't want to listen to his complaints the whole way."
Sim was surprised by Susie's move and asked, "Miss Susie, you seem very strong. Where did you learn to fight?"
Susie slowly turned her head and said, "Bana started having me practice boxing when I was very young..."
Hearing Susie say this, the bodyguards who had been mesmerized by her beauty moments ago suddenly seemed to realize Susie's danger, as if worried her fists might swing toward them.
"So you had no idea who you were messing with," Susie stared at Gian.
Gian was scared by Susie's frightening look. Covering his jaw, he said, "Can't I apologize for what happened before?"
Seeing Gian apologize, Susie couldn't be bothered with him anymore.
"Boss, where are we going?" Sim asked.
"The villa in the suburbs," Matt said slowly.
Hearing the destination Matt mentioned, Sim frowned slightly.
The villa in the suburbs was where Matt often stayed.
Hidden, quiet...
He was surprised that Matt was willing to take this woman there.
But when he had broken through the door earlier, Matt's expression had already been very unpleasant.
Now, of course, he didn't dare ask more questions.
In the car, Susie's stomach growled a few times.
Susie gripped her phone somewhat awkwardly.
"Are you hungry?" Matt looked at Susie and asked.
"I'm okay," Susie answered awkwardly.
"It's my fault. I was only focused on feeding myself earlier..." Matt whispered close to Susie's ear.
The car was quiet. Susie wasn't sure if Sim, who was driving, had heard what Matt just said. Her face instantly turned red.
At the suburban villa, the car slowly stopped.
Susie followed Matt out of the car and looked up at the three-story villa.
The interior decoration was simple, just like Matt himself—cold.
On the second floor, the master bedroom door was slowly pushed open.
Susie stared at the huge room. Even the bathroom was bigger than her shabby train car.
"You'll live in this room from now on," Matt said to Susie.
Susie asked, "I'm living in such a big room by myself?"
"Are you inviting me to live together?" Matt asked with a smile. "Of course, when I'm not busy, I'll come back to keep you company. I definitely won't always leave you alone in an empty room."
"That's not what I meant!" Susie waved her hands frantically.
"What I meant was, this room is so big, and I'm alone..."
"Miss Susie, I received your invitation. No need to explain," Matt said softly near Susie's ear.
"If you're willing, I don't mind trying again with you right now on this soft big bed..."
"At least let me change clothes first."
The weather was hot, and Susie's shirt was already soaked with sweat.
The sticky feeling made her feel like her whole body was wrapped in bubble gum.
Matt's body temperature was very high.
She took a step back, wanting to get away from this man who was like a furnace.
Susie's pretty face showed a blush, as if she had deliberately applied a layer of pink rouge.
She looked like a tempting, delicious peach that made him want to take a bite...
"What should I do?"
"I don't think I can wait," Matt said with a smile.
The eyes of the man in front of her seemed to have magic that could steal one's soul.
Susie turned her head, trying hard to control her eyes from being controlled by the man in front of her.
Watching Susie's cute appearance, Matt couldn't help but laugh.
"What?"
"Am I that scary?"
"I want to take a shower first..."
Susie pushed the man away, walked into the bathroom, and then locked the door tightly.
"If you need anything, you can call me anytime," Matt knocked on the door.
"I don't need anything!" Almost without hesitation, Susie directly refused.
Matt, outside the door, smiled slightly and said, "Miss Susie, you're my fiancée now. You can't be afraid of me."
"I... I know!" Susie blocked the door with her body, trying to use her weak body to block the flimsy door.
Matt was gentlemanly enough and quietly left the room.
Hearing the bedroom door close, Susie finally breathed a sigh of relief.
