Chapter 56
Susie was quickly pulled into the car by Matt.
"I think I really don't like other men staring at you for too long, even if they're my men."
"Matt, you seem to be getting more nervous," Sim said to Matt while fiddling with the steering wheel.
"If you had a fiancée as beautiful as her, I think you'd understand how I feel."
Matt didn't seem to care at all what his men thought of him now.
"Oh, Susie, I think you must have cast a spell on Matt," Sim said with emotion.
"I guess that's probably true," Susie laughed.
The black business car slowly stopped at the entrance of the upscale club.
Matt got out first, reaching out to help Susie.
However, Susie deliberately avoided Matt's hand.
"I think we should go in separately like last time," Susie blinked at Matt.
After all, the last time they had used this method was to let Susie steal intelligence.
"No need." Matt reached out and took Susie's hand on his own.
"I really can't stand having some guy's eyes wandering all over you. It really bothers me."
"Okay, whatever you say." Susie decided to be an obedient little cat today.
Walking into the magnificent club, Susie stared at the crystal chandelier hanging from upstairs, over ten meters long, and couldn't help but sigh, "I think every crystal on there must be very expensive."
Sim nodded, "Miss Susie, you're right."
"Only this is worthy of matching the status of everyone who comes here."
"Status really is a strange thing," Susie sighed.
"Oh, that pastry looks so delicate." Susie's eyes lit up.
"You really are a playful girl." Matt let Susie have her fun.
"Matt, how about we go wait in the private room on the second floor?" Gian asked quietly.
After all, with Matt's status, it really wasn't appropriate to stand in the busy lobby for too long.
Matt nodded, agreeing with Gian's suggestion.
"Beautiful lady, I think we've met somewhere before?"
A bearded fat man somehow appeared beside Susie, staring at her.
At that moment, Susie still had cake frosting on her lips that she hadn't wiped off yet.
She really couldn't remember where she'd seen this man before.
"Sir, you might have me confused with someone else," Susie said politely.
"If that's the case, for this wonderful coincidence, can we exchange contact information?"
The man said, pulling out a business card from his pocket and handing it to Susie.
"So this is a new pickup line," Susie laughed.
"But I think if I took your card, or even exchanged contact information with you, someone wouldn't be happy."
"Oh, Mr. Loki, so you're here. I've been looking for you for so long."
A woman in a red bodycon dress walked toward the bearded man.
She grabbed the man's ear and pulled his gaze back to her chest.
Staring at Susie provocatively, "Sorry, you're too late. He's mine, and has been for a long time."
Hearing the woman's words, Susie found it absurdly funny, "I think you've misunderstood, because I never thought about competing with you for him."
"Mr. Loki, I think we came here today to do business, not for you to hit on girls." The woman hooked her finger on Loki's belt.
Loki nodded, "I think you're right."
Only then did he reluctantly leave with the woman.
"Ridiculous." Susie wiped her mouth and planned to go upstairs to find Matt and tell him about this absurd encounter.
When Susie walked into Matt's private room on the second floor, she was surprised to find that Loki was also there.
Seeing Susie walk in, Loki was clearly delighted.
"Oh, beautiful lady, did you come looking for me?"
"If that's the case, Matt, I think our negotiation should go a bit faster, because I have more important things to do."
Loki rubbed his hands excitedly.
"Oh, the world is about to have another man hurt by love," Gian sighed.
Sim agreed, "I think you're right."
"This little wildcat's charm really is endless."
The men whispered quietly among themselves.
The woman in red looked rather upset. "Mr. Loki, I think you've forgotten that you brought a female companion."
Then she turned her gaze to Susie, "You know, it's very rude of you to follow us up here like this."
"Sorry, I came to find my fiancé." Susie waved the ridiculously large ring on her hand, then sat directly on Matt's lap.
"Aren't you afraid of danger, exposing yourself like this?" Matt asked Susie.
"Of course not, because you'll protect me well," Susie said confidently.
"Oh, so the beautiful woman rumored to be attending important occasions with Matt is actually you?" Loki looked shocked.
Beyond shock, his expression was also envious.
"So this beautiful lady is your companion."
Loki sighed, seeming very disappointed.
"Mr. Loki, please let's start our negotiation." Matt really didn't like another man's conversation constantly revolving around his fiancée.
"I don't think I can negotiate anymore," Loki said slowly, "because of this beautiful lady."
Everyone present seemed somewhat surprised.
"I agree to all the conditions you just proposed." Loki was very generous.
Then he turned to Susie, "If one day you regret being Matt's fiancée, you can come find me anytime. My door is always open to you."
"I don't think that day will ever come." Matt placed his hand on Susie's waist, asserting his claim.
Loki shook his head, "I don't think so. Although you're very talented in business, when it comes to pleasing women, I've always felt I'm slightly better than you."
"Oh, this is really an absurd negotiation," Gian said quietly to Sim beside him.
"I think so too," Sim nodded.
What was supposed to be a tense negotiation turned out unexpectedly smooth because of Susie.
Walking out of the club, Matt stared at Susie seriously, "You really are my lucky charm."
"I'd be willing to accompany you to every negotiation, if I can keep being this lucky."
