I tried to stay calm but I just couldn’t stop thinking about everything that happened and the role my parents played. I know I can’t shut them out forever but I just need some space to breathe for now. They don’t seem to get that and it’s not my place to make them see it. I’m just going to take my time. 
“Can’t you just let me breathe please!” I said out loud as my phone started ringing again. 
Thinking it was my dad again, I quickly grabbed my phone, ready to warn him off but it was Rosey. 
“Heyy!” She exclaimed once I answered it. 
“Heyy, how are you doing? It’s been a while.” I replied and she chuckled. 
“I know right, you’ve been on my mind lately but I keep forgetting to call. You know, work and life but I remembered now and I decided to call immediately before it slips my mind again.” She explained and I smiled.
“Thanks for checking in. How’s John too?” I asked.
“My husband is doing well, he’s not in the country at the moment. He went on a business trip so I’m all by myself in the house. That’s the second reason I called though. Remember you promised to come visiting some time, think it could be sooner?” She asked playfully and I laughed. 
Everything about my mood was against the visit as I wasn’t in the right state of mind. But then, maybe going out is exactly what I need to get over it. I mean, I did feel so good at the cinema so yeah, being with Rosey will feel so much better.
“You know what, I’m in. Just let me know when you’re ready to have me and you will.” I replied 
“Yes! Yes! You don’t know how excited I am to host you. I can’t wait to have you around and as for the time, I’m always ready to have you. Even if it’s today, I’m all in.” She affirmed and I just made up my mind right then.
“In that case, you should expect me in a few hours. Send me your address and maybe a car too… I’m just pulling your legs though.” I quickly added after laughing for a long second. 
“Oh no, I actually plan to send a car to bring you over. Just get ready and beep me when you’re ready to have the car come around.” She retorted and then hung up. 
I went to inform Abby immediately and to my surprise, she was happy I was going out. I thought she was going to talk me out of it but she didn’t only agree, she also picked out a dress for me. A lot of my things were still back at the Hayes apartment. I only picked a few that I could get my hands on amid the pain and hurt.
“This will look great on you.” Abby chimed in as she handed me one of her dresses.
I checked it out and it was really nice. I beeped Rose and in about thirty minutes, there was a car waiting for me outside the house.
I got in and was completely lost in thoughts until the driver told me we were at the house. I got out of the car and stared at the gigantic beautiful work of art in front of me. 
“Wow, you’ve got a really nice house here.” I let out as Rose rushed towards me and pulled me into a hug. She was already waiting at the door with a big smile. 
“Ohh please, I’m sure this is nothing compared to what your husband has.” She replied while I took a deep sigh. She noticed that but didn’t say a word. She just took my hand and dragged me inside with her. 
We went straight to the dining table and I was surprised to see the table filled to the brim. It was filled with different delicacies but I didn’t even have the appetite for much. I still couldn’t say no though since I would have to tell her all what happened.
“Let’s eat, shall we?” She retorted and we settled to eat. The chef served me and I tried to force myself to keep up the act.
“So what happened? I can tell something is wrong but it’s okay if you don’t want to talk about it at the moment. We can just talk about other things.” She let out after a while. I looked at her and smiled. She looked genuinely concerned and I saw no reason to hide things from her. For all I know, Matt might have even told John who would eventually tell her, if he hasn’t already. 
“Really? You mean John hasn’t told you already?” I teased while she smiled.
“Well, if John knows something, he would have definitely told me so since he didn’t, then he doesn’t know anything.” She replied calmly.
“I think my marriage might be over before it has even started.” I let out while she dropped her cutlery and then leaned back. 
“Is it because of him?” She didn’t need to mention a name. I already know she was talking about Theo. She knows we are in love and seeing each other.
“Actually yes. It’s just not what you think. He’s the one who betrayed me. Theo broke my heart. He never loved me. He was only using me.” I let out slowly…
