Chapter 41
Chapter 41
Third POV
That night she couldn’t sleep even when Sylvia pretended to sleep. The night was still. The camp was quiet. Most of the students were asleep in their cabins, but she was thinking of how to meet Roman. Her heart was too restless. She kept thinking of Roman’s words earlier. He had promised to tell her the truth, but he hadn’t called her.
“Go outside. Find him. Something is waiting.” Her wolf whispered to her.
She slipped from her cabin, moving silently across the grass. The moon was full, casting silver light on the path. The sound of water reached her ears. A soft splash. She followed it.
The trees paved the way, and she froze.
Roman was in the lake. Alone. She sighted him. His body glistened in the moonlight as he moved through the water. His muscles flexed with each stroke. His head tilted back, dark hair wet against his forehead. He looked strong, dangerous, and handsome.
Elisa gasped softly, but the sound escaped. Roman turned. His sharp eyes locked on her. For a moment, neither of them moved.
“Elisa?” His voice was low, rough.
She swallowed hard. “I… I didn’t know you were here,” she stammered. Her cheeks flushed red with shyness. She tried to look away, but her eyes betrayed her, sliding over the lines of his chest and shoulders.
Roman moved closer to the shore, water dripping from his skin. He didn’t cover himself. His eyes never left hers. “Why are you out here?” he asked, voice calm but heavy.
Elisa’s throat was dry. “I couldn’t sleep,” she admitted. “I kept thinking of what you said earlier.”
He stopped near the edge of the lake. His body was only half covered by water now. She could see the broad line of his chest, the curve of his muscles. Her heart pounded so loudly she thought he could hear it.
“Elisa,” he said slowly, “you shouldn’t be here.”
“Then why can’t I leave?” she whispered back, feeling that Roman was playing with her feelings.
The air between them went thicker. Roman’s jaw drew tighter. He looked as if he was fighting something deep inside. A desire. An urge. Finally, he stepped out of the water. Elisa's eyes popped out, her legs shaking as her eyes fell on his long, large cock.
Droplets ran down his skin. Moonlight traced every hard line of his body. He reached for the towel he had left on the rocks, but his eyes stayed locked on hers.
Elisa stood fixed. She should have turned away. She didn’t.
Roman draped the towel loosely around his waist, though it barely covered him. He stepped toward her. Each step made her heart skip.
“You make it hard to stay away,” he said, his voice low.
Elisa trembled. “Then stop staying away,” she muttered.
Roman stopped right in front of her. The space between them, just an inch, heavy with heat. His hand rose slowly, brushing a strand of hair from her cheek. She flinched in reflex. His touch was warm, gentle. Elisa’s breath stopped.
“You don’t know what you’re asking for,” he murmured.
“I know what I feel,” she said, her voice shaking.
Their eyes locked. The tension cracked. Roman leaned closer. His lips brushed her forehead first, soft, hesitant. Elisa’s whole body shivered. He pressed a kiss there, then pulled back slightly, his chest heaving.
“Is this what he wanted to tell me?” She asked herself.
“I shouldn’t,” he whispered.
“Then don’t stop,” she pleaded.
Roman’s control snapped. His mouth met hers, firm and hungry. Elisa gasped, but then melted into him. The kiss was deep, full of everything they had been holding back for a while now. Her hands clutched his shoulders for support, his damp skin hot under her fingers.
Roman groaned softly against her lips, pulling her closer by the waist. Her groin bumping into his. The towel slipped lower on his hips, but he didn’t care. Neither did she. In fact they wanted this.
The world around them disappeared. There was only the sound of the water, the night breeze, and the rush of their hearts.
“Elisa,” he breathed against her mouth. “You drive me insane.”
She pressed closer, trembling with need. “Then don’t let me go,” she whispered.
Roman lifted her easily, his hands sliding beneath her thighs. She wrapped her legs around his waist without thinking, her pussy pressing tight to his cock separated just by the fabric. The heat of him coupled with the strength of his arms made her dizzy.
Their kiss went deeper, slower, then full of longing. Roman broke away only to trail his lips down her neck, making her gasp. Her wolf howled inside her, urging her closer, urging her to claim what was hers. Never to be afraid of Sylvia again.
But then Roman froze. His body stiffened against hers. He lowered her slowly back to the ground, though his hands lingered at her waist. His eyes were dark, stormy.
“Elisa,” he said, voice ragged. “If we keep going… I won’t be able to stop.”
Her chest heaved. “That’s actually what I want,” she snapped, quite desperate.
He shook his head. “But what if Sylvia catches us and gets envious of you? I don’t want her hurting you in any way.”
“Who cares at this moment? Not me!” She said amidst gnashing of teeth. Her heart pounded.
Roman cupped her face in both hands, his thumbs brushing her cheeks. His forehead pressed to hers, his breath warm and uneven.
“I’ve wanted you from the moment you walked into my class,” he confessed. “Every time I push you away, it’s because I can’t lose control.”
Her eyes stung with tears. “Then stop fighting it, Roman. Please.” She begged really hard.
Their lips brushed again, slow and tender this time. A kiss that promised more. A kiss that meant a lot. But suddenly, a sound broke the moment. A snap of a branch.
Roman tensed. His eyes flicked toward the trees. Elisa’s heart froze.
Someone was coming. Sylvia stepped out, her smirk wide, her eyes glinting with cruel victory.
“Well, well,” she drawled. “What do we have here? Professor and student, tangled up by the lake. How scandalous.”
Elisa’s stomach dropped.
Roman’s jaw clenched, his hand tightening protectively on Elisa’s waist. His body shifted slightly in front of hers, shielding her.
Sylvia laughed, low and sharp. “Don’t worry. I won’t tell… yet. But oh, Roman… this just got interesting.”
Elisa’s blood ran cold.
Roman’s voice was low, dangerous. “Sylvia. Don’t test me.”
She only smiled wider, turning back into the dark. “See you tomorrow, lovers.” Then she disappeared.
Elisa clutched Roman’s arm, her whole body shaking. His chest rose and fell quickly, his eyes still locked on the dark path Sylvia had taken.
“Why does she keep stalking us? Can’t you just break free from her?” Elisa cried in frustration.
“Elisa,” he said firmly, his voice rough. “It’s worse than I thought. We’re in trouble now.”
Her breath hitched. “What do you mean?”
“I’m just worried she means what she says?” For the first time, Roman was frightened.
Elisa’s heart pounded from the tension pulling over from his words. She gripped his hand tightly, startled how the night she wanted to know everything turned into the night the world might know everything about them.
From the night would never be the same to tomorrow would never be the same.
