Amy's POV
He knew I was his mate this entire time?
"My mate... Impossible... My mate can't be him."
This bastard is so smug and happy because I found out he's my mate. To say I'm terrified of this fact would be an understatement. I'm more than terrified. I'm terrified of him in every way possible. There's nothing that scares me more than spending a moment more with him.
"It seems like you really got your wolf from your reaction. This was so unexpected, congratulations to you." He said like he meant it.
But I can tell he's burning inside with rage and probably cussing at the moon goddess for making this possible for me. The moon goddess who I thought favored me actually sent me to the lion's den like this. What exactly is she trying to do?
I cleared my throat, "It doesn't matter if you're my mate or not! What matters is if I want to accept you or not. You already know my answer would be no!"
His eyes widened and he slowly moved closer to me. I swear I could see the rage in his eyes and he looked like he wanted to kill someone. His murderous aura was too strong.
"You got your wolf and you found out I'm your mate, but your response is to leave me?"
I nodded, "Yes! Do I have to stay with you after getting my wolf? This was all you had on me and now I got my wolf thanks to you. I don't want to be your play thing anymore, am I wrong for that?"
Besides, he knew I was his mate the entire time and he still treated me like me was nothing. He looked down on me too. He didn't see me as worthy and he only wanted his privilege as my mate which was why he decided to keep me as a sex toy for himself.
I hate him!
"You think just because you got your wolf, you can leave me?" He gritted his teeth.
"What? What do you mean by that?"
He pulled me closer to him, forcefully making me touch him even though I tried to break free from his grip.
"You are mine. You're not allowed to leave me however you want. I have many ways to make you stay even with your wolf, you think you can try me?"
I felt so mad listening to him. Should I just use this opportunity to test my ability as a Lycan with him? I'm higher than any other rank and he doesn't respect me. He's just an alpha, what makes him think he has the right to treat me this way?
I used my inner strength to try pushing him away. I think he saw that too and he also used his inner strength on me. What is this? What the hell is he so strong when he's just an alpha? Is this why everyone has been so scared of him? Because he's too damn strong to just be an Alpha.
"Let me go you bastard! I'm telling you right now! You and I have nothing to do with each other and I absolutely won't let you bully me! Who do you think you are to dictate my life for me?" I finally managed to push him away, while breathing so hard.
"Who do I think I am? You've been so clueless for a long time and you've been going to the wrong person when I'm supposed to be your mate! I finally got you to be with me and you think you can just leave?"
"Are you sick or something?"
What's wrong with him? He clearly knew I was his mate and he treated me like that. Now that I have an opportunity to run away from him, he wants to trap me for no reason? What exactly is the thought process?
"I think I've been too lenient on you so you think you can actually take me on. If you think I'm just bluffing, you can leave right now. My actions will speak for me." He pointed towards the door.
Wait, is he really going to let me leave and then do something against me? What can he possibly do to me now? I kept thinking about it and I know what he can do if he's desperate to get something.
"Listen, you better not do anything to my family or my pack members. I will not continue to be with you no matter what! I'm leaving, I'm done talking to you." I said and headed towards the door like he said.
I thought he would try to trap me again but he did let me go. After arguing with him, I might finally get an opportunity to be free from him. I know this better than anyone that he's not going to let me go easily. So maybe I should start thinking of other things to do to counterattack him.
Knowing his temper, he might go against my entire pack. We've heard of his past achievements in which he wiped out an entire pack and took over their territory. No pack has ever been able to win against him in a war, even when they come together. He kills with no hesitation and he's their strongest soldier.
That's why everyone is afraid and wary of him. No one wants to associate with him and I'm sure the ones who allied with him only did that to save their heads. I don't want my pack to be in his hands since we did everything we can to stay away from him. I can't be the reason for the downfall of my pack. Just because he's lenient on me doesn't mean he's going to do the same for my pack members.
I finally got the wolf that I've been waiting for a long time and I have to deal with this messy situation? I should be celebrating with my family right now, though my situation will be like before. I have to hide it until I'm completely strong and out of danger.
"Amelia!" Caleb called for me as he sat down in the driver's seat of his car.
I rushed towards them, seeing my mom and dad sitting in the car also. I thought they would leave but I guess they couldn't stand me being with Damien, so they waited for me. I quickly entered the back seat with my mom.
"Mom, dad, Caleb... Let's go home." I said with a happy smile.
I can't wait to share the good news with my family. They've been insulted and humiliated by Damien because of me. Now, they don't need to hold back anymore. It can be confirmed that I have a wolf even without shifting, so I don't have to worry.
"I was so worried about you being in there with that evil man. I hope he didn't do anything to you?" Mom asked, holding my hands.
I smiled, "Don't worry mom. He won't be able to use anything against me anymore and I don't have to be with him."
Dad and Caleb looked back at me. "What does that mean?"
I grinned, "Dad, I have good news to share with everyone."
"What good news? Did he finally agree to stop blackmailing you? I knew he was blackmailing you with your situation even if you didn't directly say it." Caleb said.
"It's important! I... I finally got my wolf." I announced.
"WHAT?"
"It's true. I got my wolf so you don't have to lie for me or live in fear of being caught anymore." I told them. "I also don't have to be with Damien anymore. It's also very important that I tell you what kind of wolf I am. I am a—"
"That's enough! We should start going home. Drive Caleb." Dad immediately stopped me.
What the hell just happened? Why did my dad stop me from talking and what's up with their reaction? This is the moment I've been waiting for my entire life and they don't look happy to me. We've all prayed and wished for my wolf to appear, now my family is acting this way?
"What's going on dad? I just announced to you that I got my wolf and you don't want to celebrate for me? Why do you sound mad that I got my wolf?" I fired at him.
"It's not like that Amelia. We can explain what's going on, let's get home first." Mom said.
But I was already mad at them. I was so excited to share the news with my family but what's this? Even Damien had a positive reaction to me getting my wolf. He looked like he wanted me to get it and my family is the opposite. They don't want me to get my wolf? What is going on?
