Chapter 16 Give the Endorsement Back to Hillary!

The signing ceremony with HF was held at nine o'clock in the morning and broadcasted live. It was also officially announced externally, which can be considered as a supportive vote from HF for Lilian and her battle against Hillary.

Three years have passed, and Lilian has almost forgotten what it feels like to attend events. But when she put on this milky white backless gown and wore the jewelry sponsored by HF, her confidence returned to her face once again.

Sylvia drove from the apartment to Beverly Hills early in the morning because she is Lilian's assistant, so Kevin gave her permission to enter the villa. She had prepared a dress for Lilian to wear at the event... but when she entered and saw that Kevin had prepared an entire floor of wardrobe space for Lilian, Sylvia felt dizzy.

"Century Studios Mr. Alexander is indeed Century Studios Mr. Alexander - generous and has good taste!" Sylvia exclaimed.

Kevin came out of his dressing room just then and saw Lilian standing there. He said to Sylvia: "I need to talk with Lilian."

"Okay, I'll leave now." Sylvia turned around tactfully and closed the door behind her.

Lilian stood in front of the mirror smiling at Kevin like a lily blooming elegantly; people couldn't help but focus their attention on her.

"What do you want to tell me?"

Kevin didn't say anything; he just took big steps forward, hugged her from behind, twisted Lilian's neck around, attacked her thin lips: "I want to kiss you...and protect you."

"I'm going to be late."

Lilian lingered on Kevin's lips too before saying that sentence.

"I will watch it live..."

Lilian nodded contentedly while holding onto Kevin's arm as they walked out of the villa together. In fact, the two of them looked like they were made for each other. Lilian was like pure white snow, reminiscent of sanctity, while Kevin exuded ultimate charm and danger like a dark night.

Sylvia watched with some infatuation; this is what a couple should look like...unlike that scumbag Brent.

Later on, with Sylvia's help, Lilian got into the car. During the journey, Sylvia said: "The signing time is at nine o'clock. We arrived at around eight fifty - not too early or too late."

"Your arrangements are always perfect." Lilian lowered her head to check her phone.

"The plane leaves at three in the afternoon. Hillary arranged people to block you at the airport. I saw in her fan group that they even organized themselves well just to discredit you - some took photos and uploaded them as hot topics; others tried to make you look bad by taking advantage of opportunities; and there are also those who pretend to be passers-by specifically confusing bystanders' judgments." Sylvia sneered disdainfully; it was just childish behavior from a group of elementary school students but often caused great harm.

"How did you find out about all these?" Lilian found it unbelievable.

"Because I have an undercover agent mingling among them..." Sylvia smirked proudly. "Let these kids play...when the video is exposed, I don't know how swollen their faces will be..."

Lilian smiled indifferently because being able to gather troublemakers together was also Hillary's ability compared to her current active fans which were indeed pitifully few but she could still see several people looking forward to seeing her airport show.

At precisely eight fifty in the morning without any delay or advance arrival that would make her seem worthless,Lilian arrived at the signing hotel and walked up onto the red carpet under media attention."Did Hillary post some pictures of her trying to stand up in the morning, accusing you of taking away her endorsement?"

"Lilian, are you planning a comeback?"

Lilian smiled throughout the entire interview but did not answer any questions from reporters. She followed hf's arrangements very cooperatively after entering the hotel. However, Brent was supposed to attend this occasion but he used work as an excuse and sent his assistant instead. This made people speculate that there were already cracks between Lilian and Rainer Entertainment. But Brent was indeed held back by Hillary; how could she allow him to go cheer for Lilian?

Kevin at Century Studios watched the live broadcast in his office. Lilian appeared calm and serene without fighting or competing for anything, yet it was impossible to ignore that there were turbulent waves beneath the surface of her endorsement deal with hf. After signing the contract, Lilian had lunch with hf's founder before leaving for the airport directly at 1 pm... As they got closer to their destination, Sylvia became more nervous: "Lilian, I will do my best to protect you but you also need to protect yourself."

"Sylvia, do you think I'm not mentally prepared?" Lilian still smiled calmly; everything was under their control now so what was there to fear? Three years ago she had experienced everything already.

Then Sylvia got off first and took out their luggage before protecting Lilian as she got off too. At first no one noticed them but once they entered the airport a large group of fans holding flowers rushed towards them and forcibly stuffed them into Lilian's arms. However, because she didn't hold on tight enough all of them fell onto the ground.

Everyone froze momentarily when this happened including fans wearing sunglasses and masks who immediately accused her: "What is your problem? We gave you flowers because we like you! How can you just throw them on the ground like that? Even big stars who are famous and popular don't treat their fans like this, let alone someone like you who isn't even famous yet!"

Lilian knew they were just trying to pick a fight so she immediately apologized: "I'm sorry, I didn't hold on tight enough. It wasn't intentional."

"What do you mean it wasn't intentional? I saw that you did it on purpose!"

"I saw it too! You threw them away intentionally!"

The troublemakers began to guide passersby with their words and raised their voices: "How can you compare yourself to Hillary when your character is so bad? Hillary always takes pictures with her fans very kindly. Do you think that just because you got an endorsement deal, you can replace her?" More and more people gathered around out of curiosity until there were about a hundred people surrounding Lilian.

Because there were so many people now, the troublemakers started the second phase by pretending to be crowded and pushing and pulling Lilian: "Why has Hillary been popular for three years while you have already faded away? Now I believe there's no reason for that other than your bad character. Look at how kind-hearted Hillary is compared to you."

"Give back the endorsement deal to Hillary!"

"That's right...I used to really like you but after seeing how badly treated our flowers were by being thrown on the ground, we realized that not only are we disappointed in what little fame or popularity you have left but also feel that taking away Hillary's endorsement was completely undeserved. How did you manage it? Tell us..."
