Chapter 36

Chapter 36
“Where did I go wrong, Sky? Maybe Hazel is afraid to make decisions, and we have to understand her because if we force her, it won't end well.” I kept reassuring Sky that Hazel was not at fault in this case because our mate certainly needed time to adapt to everything.

“I don't want to say anything else to you, Richard. You're completely blind now,” Sky seemed to give up, and I didn't care about any of that because I was sure Hazel wasn't as bad as Sky said.

“Mr. Eric, make a decision quickly. We can't just sit around at a time like this. Maybe you can just say what I said in front of the elders, how about that?” My Beta gave my son Eric a very terrible idea because I felt that My Beta was currently trying to make my son a puppet leader that he could control.

“You see, Richard? No one in this world can be truly trusted, and even before you die, the people around you will immediately secure their positions. I hope you realize that now!” Sky cursed again, but I didn't hear what he said.

“Beta, what are you saying? I can't be a puppet like you want me to be.” Hearing Eric's refusal, I felt a little relieved because once an Alpha candidate can be controlled by someone else, then most likely, that Alpha candidate will definitely be controlled by someone else in the future, and that attitude is very contrary to an Alpha who should be very firm and cannot be led by anyone other than themselves.

“Mr. Eric, you seem to have misunderstood. What I mean is, you don't need to think too hard. I will help you decide what action to take at this moment because I cannot openly make decisions, and I am doing all this for the sake of the Cendana Pack. I hope you don't misunderstand me.”

I also heard My Beta defending himself. I really can't judge right now whether My Beta wants to help my son or not because topics like this are very dangerous for a future leader.

"No, Beta, you're wrong. I clearly remember that Erica once told me that I shouldn't follow anyone, and I'm still very young, so don't force me to take on responsibilities that I shouldn't take on! It's better if you find all the great healers in this Pack so that my father can open his eyes immediately and make a decision, do you understand?"

Hearing my son's firm voice, I felt a little emotional because with that attitude, I was sure that my son would never be controlled by anyone when I was no longer in this world.

“All right, Mr. Eric, I'll do as you say, but you must also consider what I'm saying. If you don't want to, then I also don't want to drag Luna Hazel out to take responsibility because without you, this Pack will be in complete disarray. I hope you understand what I mean.”

For some reason, I feel that My Beta is subtly threatening my son, and I really dislike his attitude.

“Watch your mouth, Beta! You have no right to control us, and now I order you to find the best doctor!” I heard Eric yell loudly, after which I heard my son leave my room.

I couldn't hear anything else, everything was silent, and I felt like a complete failure because I couldn't do anything as an Alpha now.

Erica POV

I don't know why everyone in the Ruby Pack is so attentive to me. I even feel that my welcome party is very luxurious and that it was designed with my approval. I begin to remember that previously in the Cendana Pack, I could only throw parties according to everyone else's tastes, but no one there was willing to consider my tastes.

“Luna, what are you doing? Is this dress really that bad? Tell me, and I'll change it right away,” I heard a woman's voice nearby, and I came back to my senses.

I was currently in the private room that Jayden had given me, and I was in the middle of preparing the dress I would wear to the party that would be held the day after tomorrow.

Indeed, after I agreed to work with Jayden openly, everything changed. I began to open myself up to this place because, like it or not, in order to achieve my ambitions, I had to get used to this place, and it turned out that this place was not as bad as I had thought. I even felt that this place was very comfortable and like the home that everyone talked about.

The home I mean is not just a building, but a form of protection that I get from this place and cannot get anywhere else, and also a home that truly accepts me for who I am, not someone else.

“No, this dress is already very beautiful,” I replied quickly, looking at the royal designer who seemed to be eagerly awaiting my response to the dress she had prepared.

“If you have any suggestions, please tell me, miss. I would be very happy to hear them because I actually feel that something is missing in this dress,” said the woman, again trying to convince me to say whatever I wanted.

“Or you could ask Alpha Jayden for his opinion because your outfits will be made to match,” said the designer, seemingly trying to tease me, and of course making my face feel a little red considering that this was the first time I had worn the same outfit as a man.
