Chapter 230 Reunion and Resolve(2)

Chapter 230 Reunion and Resolve(2)
Lily's POV

Olivia's expression went cold as winter. "Dead. She tried to stop us from taking Lily." She shrugged with lethal casualness. "I don't leave loose ends."

"Good," Gabriel said flatly, and I felt the savage satisfaction that pulsed through our bond. "She had it coming."

"The escape itself was fairly straightforward once we had access," Nova continued. "The real challenge was getting Lily mobile enough to move. She'd been..." She stopped, glancing at me uncertainly.

"Tortured," I finished quietly. There was no point in pretending otherwise.

Gabriel's entire body went rigid. Through our bond, I felt his rage spike so high it was like touching molten metal. When he spoke, his voice was barely controlled. "I'm going to kill them. Slowly."

Lucas, who had been silent until now, let out a low whistle. "Damn, Olivia. I knew you were good, but infiltrating Throne Palace? That's some next-level spy shit right there."

His sister shot him a withering look. "Language, Lucas. And it wasn't just me—Nova did most of the heavy lifting."

"Still," Lucas grinned with obvious pride, "my sister's a total badass. Makes me look like an amateur."

Nova coughed slightly, and I caught the hint of irritation in her expression. Olivia's successful infiltration mission had essentially exposed weaknesses in Throne Pack's security—security that Nova, as Gamma, had been responsible for.

Gabriel turned to Nova, his posture shifting into the formal stance of an Alpha conducting business. "You risked everything to save my mate. That debt isn't easily repaid."

Nova shook her head. "I was merely returning a favor. You protected Felix when you could have let him fall. Honor demanded I act."

"Honor or not," Gabriel said firmly, "you saved the most important person in my world. If you ever need anything—sanctuary, aid, whatever—Moonfall Pack will provide it."

Nova inclined her head in acknowledgment. "Your reputation for fairness wasn't exaggerated, Alpha Gabriel."

Gabriel's attention shifted back to me, and I saw the murderous intent crystallizing in his eyes. "Silas and Vince are going to pay for what they did to you. And Knox—" His voice dropped to a growl that made my wolf stir restlessly. "He will pay for his daughter's actions."

"Gabriel," I started, but he cut me off with a gentle finger against my lips.

"No arguments, love. They hurt you. They hurt our child." His hand moved protectively to my stomach. "There are consequences for that."

Ethan stepped forward. "All this talk of revenge can wait. Lily needs a hospital, now. She's been through hell, and we need to make sure both she and the baby are okay."

Gabriel's fury immediately shifted to concern. "You're right. Nova, thank you for everything you've done. Olivia, you're coming with us. I want to hear every detail of what happened during the ride."

As Gabriel swept me up in his arms with infinite care, I saw Nova backing toward a black sedan parked at the edge of the clearing. Olivia noticed too, her professional instincts kicking in.

"Wait," Olivia called out, her voice sharp with concern. "Nova, what about you? Won't they hunt you down for this? Vince's going to know you helped us escape."

Nova paused, her hand on the car door. A sad smile crossed her lips as she looked back at us. "I'm not going back to Throne Pack," she said simply. "Felix and I... we're leaving together. Tonight."

"Leaving?" Gabriel asked, his voice softening with understanding.

"We've been planning this for months," Nova explained, her blue eyes distant with painful memories. "Ever since that nightmare challenge, Felix hasn't been the same. Even with Orion dead, he can't stay in that place filled with such terrible memories." She straightened, resolve hardening her features. "And with Silas and Vince now in control, Throne Pack has become something we no longer recognize. I won't watch the man I love be consumed by the darkness that place represents."

Olivia's expression shifted to one of grudging respect. "Where will you go?"

"Far from here. Far from all of this." Nova's gaze found mine, and I saw genuine warmth there. "Take care of yourself, Luna Lily. You've got a good Alpha there—one who knows the value of mercy."

Gabriel nodded gravely. "The offer stands, Nova. If you and Felix ever need sanctuary, Moonfall will welcome you both."

"I'll remember that," she said, climbing into the driver's seat. Through the car window, I caught a glimpse of Felix in the passenger seat—pale but alert, his amber eyes clear and free for the first time since I'd known him.

As Nova started the engine, she rolled down the window one last time. "Give them hell, Alpha Gabriel. They deserve everything that's coming to them."

With that, she pulled away, the black sedan disappearing into the forest like a ghost. I found myself smiling despite everything—two mates who had found freedom together, escaping the toxic web of Throne Pack politics.

"Smart woman," Olivia murmured approvingly. "Getting out while they still can."

Gabriel's arms tightened around me as he carried me toward the medical transport. "Ready to go home, love?"

I nodded against his chest, feeling safe for the first time in weeks. Through the bond, I could sense his lingering rage simmering beneath the surface—Silas and Vince had no idea what was coming for them.

"The baby," I whispered, voicing the fear that had haunted me throughout my captivity. "I don't know if..."

"Hey," Gabriel said softly, bringing my knuckles to his lips. "Whatever happens, we'll face it together. But our little fighter has made it this far—I have faith."

As the ambulance pulled away from the clearing, I watched Throne Pack territory disappear behind us through the rear window. Somewhere in that landscape, Silas and Vince were probably celebrating what they thought was their victory.

They had no idea what was coming for them.

Gabriel's hand found mine as the vehicle picked up speed, our mate bond humming with renewed strength. Whatever healing lay ahead, whatever revenge Gabriel was planning, we'd face it as we always had—together.

The war between our packs was far from over. But now, with me safely back where I belonged, Gabriel would show them exactly why he was called the most dangerous Alpha in the Emerald Mountains.
