Theo's POV:

"Hello Theo," Vladimir speaks making me glare at him in full despair. "Vladimir," I speak.

"Captain is everything alright? We're in position, Haula is safe too,"Lisa informs me.

"Hold your position." I whisper. The plan is to meet him alone and hear what he has to say, making it look like he is one step ahead of us not knowing we know all of his plans.

"I see your little friends caught my bait," Vladimir says as he raises the box eyeing it like a precious jewel. We knew Vladimir was going to pull a prank like this, Derek informed us of his little tactics so it is nothing new.

"Yeah it was nothing new considering we know how you are, but you know what is? you knowing my name." I ask.

"Oh that's a little secret, I'm going to let you in on right after I release this," what?

"Why do you need to do that? Why do you need to infect innocent people?" I ask looking at him disgustedly.

"So, I guess Derek has informed you of my little mission, well I expected it. And for your question I do what I want to get what I want." Vladimir replies making his accent visible.

"So what do you want huh?" I ask and he laughs. I hear Lisa instructing me on what to do when things get out of hand as she can hear everything Vladimir is saying.

"What I want? I have already gotten what I want Captain," Vladimir replies.

"Then if you have gotten what you want, why do you need to release that? Why did you have to infect me with it, see I don't believe you. You don't have anything, you're just a lonely, arrogant, selfish human being who hates everyone for who knows what," I spit at his face. I'm trying to make him angry so he could spill everything I want to know.

"Don't you dare, little boy you don't know anything about me. I get what I want that's all," Vladimir speaks as a smirk appears on his face.

"Really? If you get what you want then why did you need me, why did you want me to be here so bad that you knew, if you let Derek escape thinking it was him that did it himself then he was going to come straight here, and inform us knowing very well that I will want to get answers and come here then getting you?"

I've been doing a lot of thinking and then something came up in my head, you can never escape Vladimir except he wants you to, and that's exactly what he did to Captain, making him think he escaped which was all part of his little plan.

"You're smart you know that? The Major letting us know that you were going to be in Nigeria, then letting Captain escape, I was falling for your trap to be honest but you know where I knew you were playing your stupid dumb plan, was when Derek escaped. So Vladimir what do you want?"

"Wait what?" Lisa speaks from the comm. "Why didn't I know about this?" I didn't tell anyone about what I knew about Vladimir cause I just realized it.

"Wow I'll give you the credit, you're smarter than I thought, that was why I chose you in the first place." he smirks proudly.

"You really want to know why I want to release this? you want to know why I took your Major, you want to know why I needed you huh?" Vladimir asks.

"Yeah, because it won't just be that you want to be the richest man in the world, by selling the cure which I know you have." I tell him as I move closer.

"Well that's part of it, but not the main part. Okay I'm feeling generous now and since I'm done with you and you're going to die soon, I guess I'll tell you." Vladimir's face becomes darker as he speaks.

Right now I don't know my fate, the only thing that is keeping me going is Haula, she's the only one making me find my way and thinking clearly, so I'm gonna fight for her till my last breath, I'm gonna fight for our love.

"Okay well since I'm going to die I would love to hear it," I speak.

"Story time Captain." He claps the box. "You see, Charles has been working for me for a long time now, discreetly. When you came into the army I had Charles give me reports of every soldier's immune capabilities, as you know they test you all before you go into the force, and I found your immune system to be the strongest and more potent that whenever I asked my lab scientist to test the bacteria on your blood, your lymphocytes destroys it all immediately.

So I had to power it up making my bacteria more potent, so my little friend here," He says pointing at the box in his hand. "Has been around for quite some time now, so what I did was I had the Major put some into your drinks, I don't know how he did it and I don't care.

Back to the story, I monitored you for quite some while wanting to know how strong the bacteria was on a strong immune system knowing it was still in your system and the Major giving me reports on you. See you're lucky the antibiotics you take is really good for you, if not you would have gone far away by now."

I can't believe this, so I was just a tool for his stupid plan, and the Major knew about all this.

"So I was just an experiment to your little plan?" I say defeated. To say this doesn't sting is a big lie, knowing someone you knew and trusted was backstabbing you and cutting your life short, if I hadn't heard him call my name the other day I wouldn't have known anything.

"Very correct, now I've gotten all the things I need thanks to you, but now you're purpose is done. I just wanted to see how you've gone and I'm still a bit surprised the bacteria hasn't worked wonders yet. Well anyways I also did more work, I synthesized the bacteria the more and now even you can't survive it." He smirks.

"Well let's see how you do that," I smirk also as he laughs. Vladimir doesn't know that we've synthesized a cure for his bacteria which is giving him the confidence he thinks he has.

"Now." I order as my team and Lisa's come out of hiding. "It’s over Vladimir, drop the box." Lisa orders.

"Hmmm let me think about it, but you know you guys never learn." Vladimir spits. "You'll be surprised," I tell him.

"I won't drop the box, so here's what's gonna happen. I'm going to open this box and let it all out while you're all gonna do nothing," Vladimir says becoming serious. "You wouldn't want to shoot me cause once you do, it would be released when my fingerprint is not inserted in the next thirty minutes, so my best bet is you all get out of here while I do what I came for. I told you I'm feeling generous, I'm letting you guys go, don't let me change my mind," Vladimir informs.

"Why are you doing this Vladimir? You could have gone under the radar and we wouldn't have known where you are," I say honestly, it doesn't just make sense why he would do this himself except...

"That's it, you wouldn't have do this yourself except something is wrong with you. You see Derek mentioned he saw you taking some pills but all his bet was it was for your sanity, but I don't believe that. What I do believe is that you're sick so because of that you want to make everyone sick like you," Oh God we should be known, Vladimir won't just show his face to release a deadly bacteria.

"I see you're the only smart one among them, but that's not it. Okay true I'm sick, in fact I'm dying but that's not the only thing. You guys would never know what it’s like to be in pain to be suffered, you don't know how it feels to be called the poor class, the beggars, you don't know how the government suffer the people at the root because you work for them and they pay you a handsome salary.

Or how they poison the water at the roots making my people weak and dying of cancer, which I am now too." Vladimir speaks with a hint of emotion.

That's true, there was this time cancer was roaming about a lot to the people at the roots. We managed to get rid of the source but I didn't still know he was part of the infected.

"But if I do this now and people starts to get sick, their children starts to fall sick, they themselves start to fall sick and they have no way of getting the cure then they will know what it feels like to suffer," Vladimir concludes.

This isn't the first time I'm hearing something like this, the last time was when Luca died in a bomb blast from one of Vladimir's boys. I reason with him doesn't mean I agree to his methods. This is mass murder we are talking about, people will die, mother's will die, children all because of some damn revenge towards the government.

Yes I know they don't do right but violence isn't the way, killing innocents isn't the way to get what you want.

"So what about those innocent people huh? You say you don't want to act like them and you want to show them what it is to suffer, but that's exactly what you're doing, you're like them because those innocent people that came out here today just to get something to buy or to see a show will have to carry something with them to their loved, not knowing what it is.

Aren't you inflicting that suffering on them too?" I ask honestly and Vladimir looks at me speechless.

"Do I care?" He responds harshly.

"Yes you do, if not you wouldn't care about all those people that suffer at the grass root." I say back.

"Let's say I do care, but I don't anymore, and I have given you all a chance to walk out of here but you didn't, let me tell you another something why I needed you, I needed you and your blood in order to strengthen the bacteria, so once I do this even you won't be able to escape it this time." Vladimir smirks.

"Don't do this," I tell him. He would just waste his life, what he still doesn't know is that we already have the cure and even if it may be less, Matt would find a way.

Vladimir laughs as he takes the box up in his hand. "Don't," I say again but he doesn't listen.

"Let the government pay Theo, don't you see what they are doing," Vladimir speaks as he tries to sneak his arm to the biometric print to release the virus not wanting anyone to notice what he is doing as he distracts us with talking, but I see him and I am not going to let him kill all these innocent people.

So I'm going to do what I have to.

The sound echoes back and forth as Vladimir goes down due to the shot but it isn't from me. I look over and see Lisa who had just shoot Vladimir dead.

I watch as the place goes silent but thanks to the loud music playing it isn't heard. I look at Vladimir's dead body as it lays on the floor blood oozing out of his head. Everyone seem to relax as I stare at Lisa in agreement.

Lisa looks at me as she nods telling me to go over to the box.

I walk to the box, seeing that the fail-safe has been acquired, as Vladimir's prints may have touched it, putting it to an end.

Thank God.

I sigh as I run a hand through my face thinking about it all. So all this is just about revenge, he says he didn't like what the government is doing, but he was doing exactly the same.

Irony of life.

"Captain McCall," Steven calls from the comm, as I get up.

"I'm here, is something wrong?" I ask him sensing the worry from his voice.

"It’s the girl, I don't know what's wrong with her, she fainted."Steven informs me.

"Wait what! You mean Haula?" I ask concerned.

"Yes, we're taking her to the base now, meet us there." Steven says.

Oh no, no, no Matt said the more she blacks out, the more the disease penetrates into her system.

"Get her to Matt please," I plead.

"Sure thing," He replies. I look at Lisa and then to Vladimir's body whom they are cleaning up and back to Lisa as my hand goes into my hair.

What am I going to do now? I thought after we get Vladimir everything will be alright but no. Oh God.

"Shit!" I yell in frustration as Lisa runs over.

"It’s going to be alright," She hugs me pulling me together, as I sob lightly burying my face into her neck. I love Haula so much I...I can't let anything happen to her.

"What if something happens to her Lisa? I can't forgive myself, it’s all my fault. I love her so much that I can't stay away, please nothing should happen to her Lisa, I can't live with myself without her."

"Shhhh, I promise nothing will," She hugs me tighter. "Let's get out of here, enough of all this drama for today, let's go and see her." Lisa say before we leave.

Vladimir's body is going to be taken with us back to the U.S for report.

All the way back to the base, I run my hand into my hair more than I can count, to the extent Lisa has to hold my hand to stop doing that.

We get to the base, as I make my way down to the infirmary. Haula's mom is in there sobbing, as she holds her daughter's hand. Haula lays on the bed as drips are connected to her hand, with her down there unconscious.

"I'm so sorry Mrs. Mathews," I say coming in.

"It’s not your fault." She says making me look at her in shock. "Don't worry, your colleague there explained everything to Haula and I happened to be there," She looks at me before turning back to look at Haula.

Matt comes in as I rush to him. "How is she?" I ask immediately.

"She's going to be fine, the bacteria has just been in her system for a very long time, but I've given her the cure and once she wakes up she’s okay like nothing happened and ready to go home." Matt explains as I let out a huge sigh I am holding.

I was scared Haula wasn't going to make it, but the girl seems to have nine lives.

"Thank you Matt, I really appreciate it." I tell him as we hug.

"Thank you very much, I don't know what I would have done if you hadn't been able to cure here, "Haula's Mom says to Mathew before she turns to me.

"And if he hasn't been here, " She says. I nod and smile back at her as nothing seem to come out of my mouth.

"It’s my duty, you're welcome." Matt smiles before going back to look at me. "Hey, I heard what happened, are you okay?" Matt asks me concerned.

"I'll be okay, but for now all I just care about is to see her wake and healthy." I look at him as he nods, patting me on the shoulder.

"She'll be don't worry." He says leaving.

I go back to where Haula is staying, just looking at her brings a smile to my face.

What has she done to me?

"Hey Haula" I speak to her knowing fully she unconscious, maybe if I talk to her she might hear me and wake up faster. "Did you really think I would let you leave me so soon without a fight?" I continue to tell her as I stroke her face.

I look up noticing Haula's mom looking at me as tears seem to form out of her eye.

"I'm going to give you guys some space," She smiles as I smile back at her then she leaves.

I stare at my pretty lady, whose face still shines even when she's unconscious, how her lips form a medium size shape tempting me to kiss the hell out of her so she could wake up, her lashes that come down her eye beautifying her face even more.

This is the girl I fell in love with. The girl that makes my heart beats faster than anyone has ever made it to.

"You see I fought for you, and I will continue to fight for you, because I love so much Haula, you're the only thing that makes me want to live another day in this world that I live, please don't leave me all alone, come back to me. I love you." I stroke her face one more time before getting ready to leave.

I try to leave but I stop, feeling something holding me back, rather someone. "I love you too Theo." Her eyes shins wide open as her hands hold mine In hers. She's awake.
