Well-being

Ayla POV

It's been a long time since I've felt so refreshed, the smell of Soren and Victor envelops me and I lose myself in them for a few seconds, before sighing and stretching, yawning. I don't know how long I've slept, I hope not long, but I feel so good.

"Good morning, my love." I heard Soren's voice and blinked a few times.

I smiled and kissed him. Very happy to wake up like this.

"Good morning!" I replied cheerfully.

I then felt a light kiss on the curve of my neck and let out a low chuckle.

"Good morning, my empress." Victor wished in a huskier voice. "I'm very relieved and very happy to see you like this."

Soren was smiling too and kissed me, I sighed and closed my eyes. Enjoying this feeling of a relaxed body, it seems that a weight has come off my shoulders, so much so that I feel like going to sleep again, but not because I'm tired, but because I love feeling my two mates by my side.

Soren and Victor put their arms around me, and I let my head rest on Soren's shoulder, breathing in his scent and calming down even more.

"Can we stay like this? I don't want to get up." I whispered, my voice languid.

The worry of the outside world can wait, it's hard enough for me to feel, and I don't want to run around stressing myself out.

"Yes, we can... For as long as you want." Soren replied, stroking my hair, and giving it a gentle ruffle.

I sighed as Victor squeezed me a little tighter.

Minutes passed, and we didn't need to talk for this balance between us to continue, nothing else really mattered. It's different from when we first got together, now it's companionship and familiarity.

Nothing could separate us, even with all the difficulties, we've managed to move forward stronger and more united. Incredibly, I'm not hungry, and I don't feel weak, as if their energy is feeding me and I smile mischievously.

I opened my eyes, stood up, and then climbed on top of Soren, sitting on his groin, before he could complain, I lowered my head and kissed him intensely, entwining my tongue in his and let out a moan, loving his taste, something I didn't even know I was missing.

Then I felt Victor's hands on my waist, and he pulled me away from Soren, holding me from behind, and kissed the mark he had made, making my skin shiver.

"Ayla... We can't." Victor whispered, his voice controlled.

I took a deep breath, looking at Soren who sat on the bed, running his hands through his hair, his aura frustrated but controlled too.

I put my hands over Victor's, not struggling to get free.

"Vic... I know, I heard Ishtar... I know I was out of my mind that day." I said and leaned my head against his chest.

I didn't look away from Soren.

"I also know the consequences of my actions," I said determinedly. "And I want you both... I don't know when I'll feel as good as I do today."

I let my aura flow towards them, showing how healthy I was.

"I have to get used to the auras of others, of strong beings like the heads of Houses, and I know that I need to get to know the ambassadors who are still in our realm," I explained calmly. "Each time it drains me and I need to depend on Ghost, I can feel his energy nearby... But we know that this alone won't be enough."

I closed my eyes and took a few deep breaths before continuing. When I opened my eyes, I found Soren's face in doubt.

"We don't even know if we'll have a wedding night... With so many powerful people in a confined space, it's going to be very difficult for me to stand up for long after the ceremony." I stroked Victor's hands and his wrists. "With the power of being crowned, I can go into hibernation again."

Victor sighed, his aura unstable, a part of him wanting to let things flow, because he knows I'm right.

"Today may be the last time in a long time that we can do that," I added. "Besides, I trust you... I know that if I get out of hand, you won't."

I reached out and took Soren's hand.

"You and Strïth have always protected me, you taught me how to break the invisible chains that held me back. One mistake doesn't cover up everything you've done for me." I let go of his hand and turned to Victor, holding his face. "The same goes for you, at one point you doubted me, you thought I might cheat on Soren... But that doesn't define you in my eyes."

Victor's guilt is intense because he still can't forgive himself for doubting me.

"We're not perfect, we're flawed, and that's okay." I brought my face close to his and brushed my lips against his.

Victor hugged me tighter, and I saw his eyes fill with tears.

"Can you accept my decision? Before I need to worry, this moment before the world and the weight of responsibilities take over." I asked.

Victor turned his head away and looked at Soren, the two of them deciding whether to accept my request. It's not something light, much less without consequences, and I'll understand if they don't want to because the risks are great.

"All right." Soren agreed.

"But if you're tempted to mark us, if your fangs grow, and you feel like drinking our blood, you must, and it's imperative that you tell us. If your fangs grow, and you feel like drinking our blood, even if it's difficult." Victor added.

I nodded.

"Then let's have breakfast, so your body has more energy," Soren informed me, getting out of bed. "And wait an hour, to make sure you stay that way."

I smiled because I knew they were worried that this extra energy wouldn't disappear out of thin air.

"I understand." I agreed.

"Besides..." Soren smiled mischievously. "It'll give me time to prepare something and sort a few things out."

I shivered, feeling my body heat up as Soren and Victor grunted.

"You smell wonderful." They both said at the same time.

Before things got any further, I got out of bed. After all, I wanted to enjoy every minute I had with them.

The two of them laughed out loud, and I got up too. Almost at the same moment, I heard a few knocks on the door, and then it opened, and I saw Ghost coming in with a food trolley, he bowed briefly and left.

That was very embarrassing, even though it was very quick, surely he must have smelled my arousal, even if it was slight, it was still in the air. It's strange and embarrassing.

Victor was the first to approach me and hug me, kissing me on the cheek, and then Soren did the same.

"Let's have breakfast." Soren took my hand and led me to the table.
