Mason's POV
"Sir, the Wallet company seeks your presence for the new task, he has trust issues and also, the producer of the Hollywood entertainment will be having their red carpet by 5 pm and they seek your presence as well." My secretary kept talking and talking, flipping documents but my mind is so far from what she is saying.
Everything in my head now is Daniella, I can't stop replaying the kiss but I keep feeling sad that I haven't heard a word from her since it happened.
She doesn't return my calls and text messages, I wonder how she is doing now?
"Boss!! Boss." My secretary called bringing back from my deep thought to reality.
"Yes, what is it?" I said out loud.
"I am sorry sir but I just want to know your review and also if you will be attending the meeting and the red carpet as well."
"Okay, I will review these documents later, and I won't be available to attend, send a representative okay?"
"Yes, boss."
I was surprised that she was still standing looking at me.
"Are you not done yet? Or is there something else you have to discuss with me?"
"Sir, you skipped lunch as well, I was wondering if I should order your lunch?"
"No, thank you, you can leave now."
"Okay boss."
She left my office, I brought out my phone to dial Daniella's number again but the same thing.
"I am sorry Daniella for the other day, please let's have lunch together, I won't eat anything today if I don't see you." I sent her the text, hoping it works so I could see her.
I didn't know what else to do at the office, I haven't been this helpless about a lady before.
All of a sudden, I fell asleep at the office with my head on my office table, my system still on with the work I was doing to clear off my head.
I felt someone hand tapping me to wake up, I managed to open my eyes seeing Daniella standing and holding something.
I guess, I thought so much about her for me to be dreaming about her now.
"Why didn't you sleep on the couch?" She said.
"I know I am dreaming now, but I don't feel like waking up," I said, closing my eyes.
"Seems I wasted my time making you lunch so we eat together." She added.
I am not dreaming, it's her.
"Daniella," I called, cleaning my eyes twice.
"Stop acting like you saw a ghost, I came by knowing, I still signed a contract with you as your girlfriend on paper, so let the past be behind us."
I know what she was referring to, now she is here, I am all good, maybe soon, things will be right with us.
"Thank you, Daniella, you mean you prepared this for me?" I asked.
"For us, don't be stingy." We laughed.
Now I can feel the light and live in my world, is all because of her, I won't let her slip away again, seems my emotions are taking over me, I need to start controlling it.



"Are you sure, I shouldn't come with you to see Sharon?" She asked while I was still driving to drop her home.
"Nah, she won't like it, I notice how scared she is to see me."
"Okay fine, I hope we find out those fools behind this." She added.
"I hope so too, Daniella. I appreciate your presence today and the lunch was delicious. Guess the dinner with my parents, you will prepare the meal, so they enjoy it as I did," I said out of excitement.
"Wait a minute? Dinner with the family?" She asked looking confused then I remembered I didn't tell her what my mom wants but knowing she is acting to be mine, I need to use wisdom.
"Well my mom hasn't fully believed I got a lady in my life, she wants you to have dinner with us, I know it's a big task but I will be grateful if you accept so she will trust me fully that I have changed."
"Oh okay, but talking about change, it seems I am doing a great job here." She boasted herself.
"Sure you did."
"Alright, good night Mason, and tell me everything after the meeting with Sharon and please be safe."
"Yes, ma’am." She laughed stepping out of the car, she waved at me with a smile before I drove off.
I received another text from Sharon saying, "Please Sir Mason, I can't meet you at the public place, let's meet at a church, No 36,5th lane Texas, the old church."
I think I know that place, "On my way." I replied to her.
I had to turn on my google map for directions, at first I thought I was on the wrong track but it seems the map is wonderful and accurate.
I packed at a distance wearing a face cap not to get recognised as I entered the church, where she was waiting for me.
After we settled down, I finally asked her, "Why did you do it to Oliver Weiss and ran away?"
She started shivering as hot tears left her eyes, "I didn't mean to hurt boss with those wrong words, yes boss visited me at the hospital to see how I was fairing and asked me to take a break, he will still pay me my salary, I never knew he is kind hearted and I am feeling guilty for doing this to him, I am sorry, so sorry, please tell him to forgive me."

"Oliver is my best friend and I give you my word, he will forgive you, but why did you do this to a kind person like him? Did someone force you?"
"No one forced me but circumstances made me to."
"I think I am lost here."
"Someone paid me a visit, reminding me of things I haven't attended to and promised me a huge sum of money if I can just testify wrongly of the boss, the money was too much to resist and I needed it, yes boss will pay me, but the money won't cover it all and here I am seeing my solutions, I am sorry."
"It's okay, I understand, now do you want to be free from your guilt?" I asked her.
"Yes, I do." She cried.
"You have to undo the wrong, okay, make a public video telling us someone paid you to lie about your boss, can you do that?" She nodded in approval.
"Good one Sharon, after you tell the truth, I will protect you okay, now can you recall the person's face?"
She was about to talk when she froze a
