He wants our relationship low-profiled
Chapter 29~ Valerie's POV

\=========

After a long drive on the road, Dante and I finally arrived at a fancy-looking restaurant which it's name was inscribed, "The Dandelions".

Truthfully I was impressed with his choice and I voiced, "Great choice,"

With a slight smile, he uttered "Thanks, A unique spot for a unique woman, it's a win-win choice,"

Instantly, I blushed at his words as I saw him open the door at his side of the car.

Swiftly, approaching my side of the car, he gently held on to the car handle as he opened it wide and said, "My lady?"

Do not see me as a fairytale kind of girl but every time he opens the door for me, I always feel like I am the only girl in the world which triggers my self-confidence in every way possible.

Seeing this, I said to him, "Thank you, Dante," with a smile on my face I carefully got out of the car and he immediately slammed the door as I stood in front of it.

Then he uttered to me with his right arm curved for my hands to be ushered in it. "Shall we?"

Without saying a word, I gave a nod as a response with a soft giggle.

And so, we both walked into the restaurant.

Once we got in, the waiter at the entrance greeted us the moment he saw us, "Good evening Mr. Blaze,"

Then Dante halted, as he inquired, "Are my reservation in place?" With so much authority laced in his voice.

That alone, turned me on so badly but I'm no whore to show these things so I still maintained my composure.

"Yes Mr blaze, please follow me," The waiter said.

So we both followed him as he took us to a quiet, secluded but romance-themed room that contained a dining table for a couple.

I was utterly stunned as my expectations weren't quite up to this.

So I spoke out, "You have outdone yourself by the way,"

My eyes took a tour around the decor, looking into the details of the colors.

I heard Dante's voice simmering into my ears, "Babe, let's sit," pulling out the chair for me.

And so, I obeyed like I was craving for his utterance for a while, with that I took my seat elegantly, and so did he.

Subsequently, the waiter asked, "Is there anything you want or perhaps need for now?"

"Oh, no, a bottle of champagne should be fine for now," Dante responded while I just sat there with my stare at him.

Then, the waiter left the private but secluded room, leaving Dante.

"You love private kinds of stuff," I began as I placed both of my hands on one another with my elbows resting on the table.

"Yes I do a lot," he responded placing himself in the same position as me and leaning forward like he wanted to kiss me.

However, the slow-paced romantic moments were momentarily halted as the waiter brought in the ordered bottle of champagne with two glasses alongside.

"Thank you," Dante and I said to him in unison.

Then, the waiter opened the champagne bottle and was about to pour it into the glasses.

When Dante said, "No worries on that, you can go," taking the bottle from the waiter and placing it on the table.

"Very well sir," The waiter said.

Then, he turned and left us alone and undisturbed.

Immediately the waiter left, quiet wore between both of us.

Suddenly, Dante spoke out, "So.... When are you coming back to the office, the presence is felt already you know," visible shown he was counting his words as he spoke.

Laughing out, I said, "I should be in the office as soon as possible,"

But I could see through him that he was about to say something big and disturbing.

"What's on your mind,?" I questioned.

And his look seemed shocked at my questions.

Clearing his throat, he pulled himself together and I could see his saliva glupping down his throat.

"Well..., I want us to talk about something," he started.

"Then, ask away," I encouraged him, as I took my glass and poured in the champagne.

"So about our relationship, I want us to be exclusive about it," he continued.

His words pierced my heart as I never expected such words from him.

"Exclusive? In what way," I demanded.

"I am sure you get where I am driving at Valerie," He said in a firm tone.

"I don't Dante, that's why I am asking," I uttered to him, waiting for a convincing reason.

"Valerie, you know I am still your boss, despite us dating and it would seem odd to the rest of my employees that I am hooking up with my senior editor," He explained.

"Hooking up, you say," I sneered in utter disgust.

"So what going on between us, is hooking up?" I continued.

"Val-Valerie, please don't get me wrong on this, yes I know my way of placing it out is wrong but I just need you to listen to me and understand my point of view in this," He said, trying so hard to reason with me.

I would be telling lies if I said, I didn't understand all he had been trying to say to me but his saying the word "Hooking up", instead of "Dating" got on my nerves.

"I understand all that you mean Dante but I have a question to convince me we aren't hooking up," I stated to him.

"I'm listening Valerie," He replied with a panicked look on his face.

"Do you really mean it when you said I love you to me?" I asked as both our breaths replaced our voices.

"I meant it, Valerie, I do," He responded to me, a part of me didn't buy it but I just didn't want to let my stupidity take the best of me.

So I took a deep breath with my eyes closed, as I began my words, "So here is my verdict, we would keep the status of our relationship on a low profile, it would be known only to us alone and to my colleagues we are just boss and his employee, Only if you don't let your stupidity take over your utterances and always send flowers to my office, it's a done deal, take it or you leave,"

Relaxing my back with my arms wrapped on each resting on my side of the table and leaning forward to him, "So what's it gonna be Mr. Dante Blaze, it's not too late to back down," I continued.

Briefly smiling, He said, "You are a good negotiator, Valerie Skye, well I guess, I have no choice but to accept your conditions or do I get to have other options?"

"No, You don't Mr blaze, I'm not to be messed with, remember?" I uttered, chiming in his tease.

"Alright, alright, so are you hungry?" I asked.

Unable to refuse the charms in his demeanor, I replied with a "Sure,"

And in that moment he called out to the waiter and as soon as he reached our table.

Dante placed his order, and so did I and after that, I enjoyed the rest of our romantic dinner, though it wasn't a candle-lit one like he initially stated but it was worth every of my wait because I got to be with the man I love.
