Chapter 188 - A MIRACLE SILVER WOLF
187. Aurora's POV
It was here and the oracle had started praying and offering his blessings to us.
At that time, both Kira and I were kneeling on small stools that we had been given.
He prayed to the Goddess to bless our union and to our ancestors.. After that, we were asked to stand up and then take our vows.
We had asked to be allowed to write down our vows and he had agreed.
As given, the lady is usually the first to say her vows because like in any other culture, although women are respected, they are usually below the man in status.
They will never say it out loud but that's how they think.
I didn't want my vows to sound too emotional or something like that and I went for something simple.
Tamia had been of help just like in any other aspect.
"So, miss Aurora James, you will be the first to give us your vows," the oracle said and Tamia gave me the paper from my small purse.
I looked at Kira and cleared my throat.
"Kira Naka Jacobs," I started.
"Today, I am happy to finally become your Mrs.
As I take on that title, I promise that I will never let you down.
I will never let you be a laughing stock.
I will always be faithful to you.
I will do everything in my power to make sure that we are happy.
I may make these promises just by speaking but I know that keeping them is the real work.
And that is where I am committing myself.
I will be your wife, your friend and your partner in better or worse.
For us, there will never be in betweens.
I pray that we agree in all.
I love you.
And I hope that those three words encompass what I want to tell you.
May the Goddess help me to be the wife you have always dreamed of," I finished and when I lifted my eyes from the paper, Kira had tears in his eyes.
That was the first time I was saying those three words to him.
It wasn't because I didn't love him, far from it, it was because I was too shy to say them out loud.
I might be very vocal on the outside but I am actually very shy when it comes to expressing myself especially my feelings of love.
I couldn't raise my head as I read that short speech because I didn't want Kira to look at me because then, I wouldn't have been able to finish.
Saying those three words before every one meant that I loved Kira more than he ever thought.
I was ready to go to hell and back with him.
I had made my decision and he was the lucky one.
He was crying because I had finally mastered the courage to tell him.
"Now, Kira Naka Jacobs, it's your turn," the oracle said and Kira looked on all his pockets turning then inside out and there was nothing.
At first, I thought that he must have forgotten it until I realized that he was just joking making everyone in the hall laugh.
He then looked at Killian who looked for it in the same manner and there was nothing.
Killian then bent and he started looking in Ares' clothes and then he finally found it in the small pocket of the small pants.
Everyone was in uproar as they watched that scene.
The paper that Killian retrieved was so crumbled up that he had to strain to straighten it.
We were all laughing so hard that I was in tears.
It was a cute chaotic mess that made me forget that I was nervous a whole back.
When he was finally given the paper, he cleared his throat and the hall quietened after a long while.
"Princess Aurora James, I think you now see the reason why we need a woman in our lives," he began and there was a burst of laughter all over again.
"Yes, without you, my life has always been that chaotic and messy but I found a direction the day you agreed to date me.
I have grown.
I am better.
That is because I met you.
You make me a better man and for that, I am willing to give it all up for you.
I could say a lot to tell you how much you mean to me but I won't.
All I will say is that from the day you said yes to me to the day I will die, my life is yours to do with as you please.
I give myself to you because that's all I can do.
I will be the husband you want me to be at all times.
I am yours to love and to hold always.
Thank you for agreeing to be tied to me.
I love you," he finished and put the paper in his pocket.
I didn't cry but I was looking at him as if I was seeing him for the first time.
I wondered if I ever deserved such a good man.
After the cows, the oracle blessed us again and took the wedding bands from the boys.
He then took out a bowl and asked us to drip a drop of blood each.
After we did that using a knife that Killian gave us, the oracle put some herbs and water in it and stirred as he chanted.
After he was done, he looked at us.
"Aurora James and Kira Jacobs, today, you have agreed to be bound to each other.
As a sign of binding you, take this mixture a gulp each.
It will unlock your bound bonds and make you one," he finished and gave the bowl to Kira first.
Kira took a gulp and swallowed.
I took it from him and did the same then handed it back to the oracle.
"May these bands that have been washed in your blood be a sign that you will be together always.
May they be a connection that cannot be severed," he talked as he put the rings in that remainder of the concoction he had just given us and then he handed the rings to us.
I took Kira's and slowly slid it down his finger.
He then did the same and the moment the rings were on our fingers, I felt something break in me.
I looked at Kira and all of a sudden, I could hear his thoughts.
So, this was the link?
"Can you hear me?" He asked me via the link and I smiled as I nod my head.
We were one finally.
"By the powers vested in me by the Oracle's Council, the Council of elders of Midnight Pack and Our ancestors, I now pronounce you one," the oracle finished and everyone stood up with a round of applause.
They were cheering and clapping and there were party poppers all over and everyone was popping theirs.
The sounds filled the air and glittering papers and petals flew all over.
I looked at Kira and that was when my tears fell.
This man had finally given himself to me.
I was finally married.
Kira was my husband.
I was know officially Mrs Aurora James-Jacobs.
Maybe I will change my name to JJ.
It was a happy day for me.
The words started as a chant and then the whole house took them up as they clapped in tune to the words they were chanting.
"Kiss!
Kiss!
Kiss!
Kiss!
Kiss!
Kiss!
Kiss!" Those were the words everyone was chanting as they looked at us expectantly.
"Shall we?" Kira asked the shy me.
They were demanding for it and I didn't think that I could refuse.
I pecked his check and he laughed but the hall was in uproar.
"A proper kiss.
Kiss him properly.
A good kiss!" Everyone was speaking at the same time and I braced myself.
Kira bent to my height and held my gaze.
"Are you okay?" He asked me and I lowered my eyes to look at his lips.
I had kissed him just a few times in the past because I was waiting for this day.
I thus took his lips before I changed my mind and he was taken by surprise but then caught up quickly.
We kissed as if we were kissing for the first time and everyone kept quiet and I could tell that they were all looking at us.
We kissed deep and long.
That kiss held and carried everything we had not said.
It carried my deepest desires and we only stopped to breathe.
He smiled at me the most brilliant smile I had ever seen.
The hall was in an uproar again as everyone clapped and celebrated.
I looked up to hide my blushing face and that was when I realized that the roof showed the stars and the moon.
This was the night that was very suitable to make it baby.
As of reading my mind, the oracle spoke.
"Kira, princess, you have to consummate your marriage.
Go and take your time.
We are waiting but we are in no particular hurry," he said and the old man winked making me blush again.
Kira laughed at me and then looked at my brother who patted his shoulder and then we left.
Everyone escorted us with cheers and all and it was time.
Kira was finally mine.
I was married.
I was no longer among the unmarried and soon…
