Chapter 12
Arlington POV
Repeatedly, I punched him in the face, one blow after the other. At that point, I didn’t know why I was hitting him, whether it's for my own selfish reasons... For information or maybe it's because of what Sebastian told me, was it true, is Paige my long-lost sister? Was her mother my mother? It wouldn't be surprising… I had no memories of her, not even a picture, just stories. And Sandra was probably her, my mother. It would make total sense, ran away left her son with some man to start a new life, have Paige, and forget all about me, her son… her firstborn. The drug abuse probably came into play later down, but that's the thing, I don't even know... A name could have helped but my father refused to speak about her and Sebastian will tell me nothing, what's so it so bad about her that made them want me to keep me from her, why. My dad is now dead, and I have no one else but my sister, Lorraine, and her sweet mother, Mama. Now I have learned that Paige is probably on the list of hidden siblings.
“Easy Crown,” Sebastian groaned, standing over me, looking down on the face of the man I was beating to his death, I was going to kill, I wanted to kill him.
“If you continue, you will beat this man to death, and then capturing him would be useless, how are you going to know where Morris is if he's dead,” he mumbled, keeping his eyes fixed on the man laying on the concrete, his eyes were swollen to a point where I know he can't see, his bruises fresh and open like a zipper on his flesh, I wanted to kill, only if they deserve death. And he was right, I was doing it again taking out my problems on someone else, this man wasn’t near innocent but why should he feel the miseries from every punch, because I am too much of a bitch to deal with them like any man should… as any mafia should.
Walking out the room, I went to take a breath of fresh air, some time off, I deserve that too you know, but as ruthless as they painted me out to be, my frame is fragile, I am truly broken. The sun was setting, the darkness was now overpowering what radiance of the sun remains, drowning the glorious day, starting nightly terrors for some of us,
“I didn’t say Paige was your sister,” Sebastian ambled next to me, I took a deep breathe when he said that I wanted to scream at the top of my lungs, I was happy she wasn't, but why?
“You sure made it look that way earlier,” I took out a cigar from my top pocket, the blood from my hands stained the brown paper, Striking a lighter at the tip of the cigar, I glared at him before I sucked in the corners of my jawbones, watching the smoke rise into the air, disappearing, just like how I want to disappear right now,
“Your mother's name is Lisa… Lisa Rooney was beautiful, healthy, brave, and courageous like you are… Lisa made your father weak, vulnerable, and— he knew that, but others saw it that too, so they tried to hit him where it hurts the most,"
“What Sebastian— tell me… what happened? What happened to my mother?”
I see how uncomfortable he grew, it's like he wanted to tell me but he feared what I might do next or worried I might react poorly, but I have faced so much bullshit from a young age, I can take this.
“She… she was killed.”
“She was what?” my voice cracked, it as if my whole world crumbled at my feet, and I was watching all from a distance. My entire life was a lie, and I spent my childhood, hating her, hating that she left us… she left me. When all this time her life was taken away from her, she was murdered.
“What— what... How did it happen?” I managed to hold my composure, there is no way I am going to let anyone see me cry, no I won't.
“She was killed during an ambush, that’s the first and the hardest I saw your father cried, and I have never seen him cried since,”
No, it didn’t make any sense, why would my dad tell me, my mom, ran away, making it appear as if she didn’t want me, why would he put me in so much pain, watched me grow deeper into depression each day, turning a blind eye to the fact that I was sick, mentally sick, didn’t he care at all.
“You’re lying… and you want to be fucking honest with me right now, Did he— do it… did my dad killed my mother? Did he have you fabricated this story… to tell me just in case he got his brains blown out… which thankfully did happen… my father was terrible man Sebastian… he was disgusting, a coward… so tell me right now, did he or did he not do it?”
“It’s a sin to speak ill of the dead Crown, careful bad luck might arrive at your doorstep wrapped as a nice gift… or maybe it already has,” he smirked, he was talking about Paige.
“I asked you a question Sebastian, I could care less about what you think about Paige and her mother, that’s on you… not me. I already gave you an option to get rid of her yourself, and you backed out.”
“You know me Crown… I can’t stand the sight of a lot of blood, ” he taunted, “Makes me weak in the knees, maybe have one of your men do it, I mean... My intentions are solid,”
“I am glad you point that out, my men… not yours, so if you need your dirty work to be done, do it your self,”
“You speak of dirty work like I am the only accomplice, remember who you are Arlington Crown, the mafia of all mafias,”
“We are done here,” I began to saunter away from him,
“She is buried among the many that died that night,” he stops me in my tracks’ “She was a fighter too,” He muttered,
I knew where that was, it was a little spot my father would have his most loyal men laid to rest, and my mother was buried there all along with them. Walking back inside the base, I saw one of my men finishing the job I started, torturing him to give away Morris's location, but he is just as loyal like I thought he would.
“That enough!” I wailed, I didn’t have time for this, my patience has grown thin and this fool wasn’t going to talk, and this ends now, pulling my golden pistol from under my shirt, pointing it at the center of his forehead, my eyes burning from unnoticed tears and rage,
“Listen to me… you know who I am and you know I don’t like games, so you either tell me where he is right now, or I decorate the walls with your brain,”
Ptui!
The ruddy red, slimy, spit landed next to him, the rest drooling down the sides of his mouth, staining his perfectly white teeth,
“I— told you… I don’t know where he is, I am sorry, ”
“Ok… then you serve no purpose to me, you have no information… nothing useful to me,” I removed it from his head. Strolling away I looked over my shoulders, back my puzzled men, “Kill him,” I muttered “No… no wait… please, I know something… I don't know if it's helpful... But I know something, please just wait,” he mumbled,
“And what’s that?” I paused in my tracks, not turning around to face him “A drug deal… I— I don’t know… but there was a problem with the drop-off… it was at a container terminal… but the other side... they... They wanted the girl…”
“What girl?”
“Paige… Morris’s stepdaughter— and there was a shoot out between us and them… and we killed them all,”
He was talking about Uncle Carlton, Morris did this, and Paige… she was there. Biting on the inside of my cheeks, I sighed lowly, thinking that now I really have to kill Morris,
“Shoot him,” I ordered, trudging out of the room, past Sebastian, and into the waiting car. Hearing the singing of the gunshots, I signaled to my driver to drive away.
The drive back to the house was quiet, she was dead… my mother, all this time, the hatred, was based on something I was told for a long time. Pulling up to the house, I stepped out of the car, ambling towards the house and into the office, I needed a drink… or a whole bottle. Pouring whiskey into a glass, I chugged it all down at once,
“Hey…” she stood at the doorway, “I didn’t hear you get it… everything ok?”
“I am fine, I don’t want to be disturbed right now,”
Walking over to me, she massaged my shoulders, kissing on my neck, feeling on my soft cock, but I wasn't in the mood, “Stop,” I hissed,
“Come on Arlington, I can make you feel better, I can take your mind whatever you're stressing about,”
“Priscilla!” I screeched, “I said stop.”
