Chapter 11

**ALEXI POV**

Fuck she’s hot when she’s crying. So fucking cute, sexy. I want to fuck her right now. I want to make her scream for ever thinking that she could defy me. She bit me, and it should have made me furious. But it didn’t. It made me hard. So fucking hard.

I haven’t been aroused in so long that I had almost forgotten what it felt like to feel the burning need for someone else. I’ve never wanted anyone this much, or this desperately. I must be mad. There is no other explanation.

When I am with a woman, it is a chore, a necessity. It calms me down. But Stephanie is different, she sparks a wild fire inside of me. One that can not be tamed.

I lean down close to her neck, inhaling her scent. She smells so fucking sweet. I could devour her right here, with the cameras on so I can watch her scream over and over again.

“Please let go.” She whispers, looking up at me with wide, fearful eyes.

I stare into her beautiful eyes, wondering what it would take to replace the hated I see there with something else. Something better. But that will take time. It will take me softening and being kinder.

It will take me fucking her until she can no longer think straight.

But I won’t do any of that, not until she agrees. I may be many things, and I may have killed many people, but I will not rape her. When I have her, and I will, she will willingly open her legs for me. And she will do so with a smile on her face.

I lean back, releasing her arms and climbing off her. We started off pretty rough. I shot her. I didn’t want to, but she was going to run, and I couldn’t allow her to do that. I could no risk losing her before I ever had a chance to own her.

The serum should be working by now. I tap my earpiece, “Misha, is it on?” I say through the microphone.

I hear static, and then a familiar voice. “Yes sir. The cameras are on.”

I smile, gently leaning back over my malyshka and gently laying her on the pillow, I need her to be comfortable. The serum only works when they are calm and tired. It will make her sleepy. Compliant.

It will make her tell me everything. Even if she doesn’t want to.

The poor thing thinks that whoever she works for will kill her if she tells me their name, and it’s true, they will try. But they will not get close to her. Not before I destroy them and all that they love.

I’ll do it slow. I’ll make them suffer.

I love it when they beg for their miserable lives, it’s my favourite part, that and blowing their head right off their shoulders.

“Malyshka.” I say, trying to keep my voice soft. “I need you to tell me who you work for.”

She hums a little, staring at the ceiling. “The man who raised me.” She turns to me, her eyes glossy from the drug. “You’re cruel. Hot as fuck. But cruel.”

I smile, so she does find me attractive. Even if it is only a little bit.

I shake my head, knowing that I need to stay focused. Whoever it is has taken enough of my money and resources. They need to be stopped. Before my reputation is ruined.

It took me a long time to build up the respect I needed to run this city, and I am not about to lose everything because of a piece of shit who cannot even handle the business himself. I know whoever it is losing a lot more money than they are making.

I was tipped of by one of his own about the runners. He doesn’t know who runs everything. But he knew about Stephanie, and he knew that she deals with the boss directly. That was all the information I needed from him.

The rest I can get from my malyshka.

“Who raised you?” I ask, “and where does he live?”

She stares at me as though she can see fight past my anger, right down to my soul. “David raised me, he runs the children’s home on west and third.” Her voice was so faint, so small.

She sounded scared.

But she has no need to be afraid. I will protect her. She is mine now, and that means no one can lay a hand on her. No one but me.

“You don’t need to be afraid.” I say, gently stroking my hand down her wet cheek. “I will keep you safe.”

“You will be the one to kill me.” She whispers, her eyes betraying her horror at what she said.

“Perhaps, one day.” I murmur, “everyone has to pay for their crimes, and you were a drug runner for the wrong side, you will have to pay the price for that eventually.”

She stares again, and then turns away, “I hope I can protect her from you, and David.”

I frown, “who are you trying to protect?”

“My little sister.” She whispers. “She’s so young and innocent. She is nothing to do with any of this. But David will rape and kill her if he knows I betrayed him.”

“No he won’t.” I say, growing angrier, “tell me where she is, and I will bring her into my protection.”

“I don’t know.” She whispers, sobbing hard. “I told jack to take her and run. I told him to try and save her because he can’t save me.”

Realisation hits me directly in the chest, “is that who you were on the phone to?”

I had thought she was tipping off the boss man, but clearly she wasn’t. She was trying to protect her kid sister. A child.

What kind of man is David to go after a child?

I’m going to rip off his balls and feed them to him whilst he is still alive.

She nods her head, yawning, “Yes. I told jack to run. Hide. Use what money he had to start over again.”

“Who is jack?” I ask, hands clenching.

He better not be her boyfriend. I’ll tear out his fucking throat.

She belongs to me now.

“He’s my foster brother.” She says, smiling, “we’ve spent our whole lives together. He is the other runner.”

I nod, understanding, “I have enough information now.” I tell her, “why don’t you get some sleep?”

“I’m afraid.” She whispers, “the dark scares me. There are screams in the dark. So many screams.”

I stare at her, “do you want me to stay with you?”

She nods, scooting over on the bed, “can we cuddle?”

I smile, the serum has made her more comfortable around me than I expected. It will stop once the drug wears off, but I am going to use it to my full advantage right now. If she wants me, she can have me.

I touch my ear. “Turn off the cameras”

Misha’s voice replies instantly, “see you in the morning boss.”

I smile, he clearly heard everything. But that doesn’t matter. They know I have claimed her.

This will be normal from now on. I’ll sleep in the same bed as her every night if I have to, and one day, when she is willing and not drugged. I will ask her what haunts her sleep.

I will ask her why she is so afraid of the dark.

But not today, for now, I have enough.

I lay beside her, pulling her against my chest, and within minutes, she is snoring softly against me. Soundly asleep.

And despite my own anger, I find myself relaxing, and yawning.

Perhaps we will both get some sleep tonight.
