Chapter 87 Shameful desire...
Chapter 87 Shameful desire...
ELIANA
A breath catches in my throat when the wooden mahogany door clicks open and Jackson walks casually into my room like it's his. He looks in my direction and we lock eyes through the mirror.
“Have you ever heard of the term, knocking?” I question sarcastically and he raises a brow at me as the corner of his lips curl into a smile.
“Maybe…I missed class the day it was taught. Do you mind teaching me? I promise to be a good student.” The corner of his lips curls into a smile.
“I don't think I need to knock. I can walk in and out as I please. Anytime.” The smirk on the corner of his lips broadens and I roll my eyes at his words.
Please someone remind me how we got here. Of course he's talking about the conversation in the morning after breakfast. When I agreed that…I am his.
Jackson walks to me, his steps slow and heavy echoing through the quiet air while his eyes fixed on mine through the mirror. I remain standing on the same spot, not morning muscle.
I gulp when he finally stops behind me, too close that I can feel his body slightly pressed against me.
He leans forward slightly, “Why are you still awake? Waiting for someone?” A smile tugs on his lips as he holds my eyes in the mirror.
“I don't think sweet Aunt Vicky will be happy if she finds out that you're still awake. I remember you assuring her that you would go to bed early today. She has been worried about you since morning because of the limping, you know.” Jackson whispers in my ear and I swallow, reminding me of the breakfast scene which I have been trying so hard to forget.
It's true that I promised my mother I would go to bed early after we came back from the family's dinner out.
Since we have been eating dinner at home, our parents decided that it would be good if we had dinner out. Weekends have been busy since we moved in to stay with Jackson's family. Robert has been away most weekends for business and development of his new company but since he has been around today, our parents organised dinner out…
“I was about to go to bed before you entered my room without my permission.” My voice is nonchalant and the corner of his lips tips up into a wicked smile.
“Come on Eli, I know you have been waiting for me to pop up in your room. That's why you didn't go to bed early.” His lips brush against my earlobe, his breath hot and tickling that makes the hair on the back of my neck stand still.
“Don't flatter yourself.” I say, my throat tightening. Pretending that I have no idea what he's talking about.
I don't know what the heck is happening to me. I took a bath and did my skincare routine a while ago. Instead of going to bed like I had promised my mother, I remained standing before the mirror as if I’m waiting for something-someone.
Or maybe-I was.
Even if I don't want to admit it out loud, there's this stupid part of me that hoped he would pop up. Even if it's just to tell me goodnight...
“Don't you think you owe me after saving you earlier today?” My stomach tightens, the scene replaying in my mind. How my heart pounded wildly against my ribcage as though it would escape from my chest the next minute.
Of course I should have known that Jackson would ask me for something in return for saving me. When my mother knocked on the door, he opened and pretended that he was all alone while I was hiding behind the brown mahogany door with my breath in my throat.
“What more do you want? I already agreed to be yours. Isn't that enough?” My heart squeezes a little inside my chest.
“No. That's not enough, my dear Eli. Nothing will ever be enough. Not when it comes to you. Nothing!” He buries his face in the curve of my neck and inhales deeply.
“You can't lie to me Eli. You have been hoping for me to come into your room. Come on, say it out loud.” A sharp breath escapes my lips when he sucks on earlobe teasingly.
I bite on my lower lip, holding back the words. There's no way I’m going to give him the satisfaction that he's looking for.
“I have not been waiting for you or anybody…” My statement is cut short when he bites on my earlobe and I moan.
“Of course you have. You have been waiting for me to do this to you.” He licks the sensitive part of my ear and my eyes roll back. Heavens, he’s going to be the end of me.
“Say it and I'll give you more. I’ll give you exactly what you have been waiting for.” His voice is low, holding a sweet-tempting promise.
“I still feel a little sore.” I reason out, pulling my legs together to stop the burning desire in between my legs. Even though hours have passed by, I can still feel the little ache fading away. Though it's not that much compared to how I felt in the morning.
It's a dull-fading away ache.
“I know. I know.” He lets out a heavy breath, “Don't worry, I’ll be gentle tonight that you won't even realise I’m inside you.” He says, his voice deep but soft. Our eyes meet in the mirror, raw desire burning in his eyes.
“I know you want me too, Eli. See the desire in your eyes.” He points out, looking me deep in the eyes. I close my eyes and take a few deep breaths then softly flutter them open. Hoping maybe, just maybe, my eyes would be back to normal when I open them again but…I can still see the fire in them, burning even brighter.
“You can't hide it no matter how much you try it. It's hard to calm the fire burning in your eyes with a few deep breaths, my dear Eli. I’m the only person who can help you.” I gulp.
There's something about how he calls me his. Don't get me wrong, I hate that he had me cornered and I didn't have a choice but to accept to be his. His to break. His to ruin. His to do whatever he wants with.
I know damn well it's messed up because being his means he owns me and I have always loved to be a free spirit. However, there's something about how the words roll off his tongue. The possessiveness tangled up with something…I can't explain that makes my body react in a way it's not supposed to.
“See how your nipples are hard against the thin fabric, begging for my attention. For me to touch them.” My eyes shift to my chest.
Damn it! My nipples are pushing against the black, sleeveless silk nightdress as though they’ll bore a hole, painfully hard for him to touch them.
“I-I was hoping for you to come into my room and say goodnight to me. Isn't that what you're supposed to do because I’m yours? To wish me goodnight and make sure that I have a peaceful night?” I let out, pretending that I only stayed up because it's his responsibility to make sure that I have a safe and sound night.
It's a stupid excuse-I know.
Heavens, I think I’m enjoying the benefit of being his a little too much. I shouldn't be this eager or thrilled. I should be running for dear life. Very far away but…here I am.
What's the point of fighting when I know damn well that I would lose to him? I already lost to him this morning. There's no need in fighting a losing battle because I know that he’ll win. He always does and he knows it too. That's why he's being an asshole about it.
I hate him.
“Yes, it's my responsibility and that's exactly what I’m going to do. I'm going to make sure that you have one of the best good nights that you have ever had.” He bites on my earlobe, his voice holding a promise…
