Chapter 95: Chapter 0095

•LORENE•

I woke up drenched in sweat, gasping for air when I realized I had a recurring nightmare about Maverick.

It scared me to death that his body was still rotting at the back of my mother's house. I kept thinking of different scenarios that could get me in jail for killing him.

Maverick and I had plans, and I loved him. He was much better than what I had with Richard. The sex, the late-night talks, and the money talk made me excited about each day with him.

I had never felt as hurt and disappointed as I was when I found him sleeping with my mother. It was my worst nightmare, and I still couldn't get their picture out of my mind.

I got up and sat on the bed, catching a breath, and when I looked at the clock on the wall, it was 4 AM. I groaned before I looked at my cell phone again and saw a text message from Andrea.

He had to reach out to me himself before I could get the message. I rolled my eyes and was about to get back to sleep when someone knocked on the door of my apartment.

When I went to the door and peeked through the small hole and saw Andrea, my heart raced, and I breathed, bracing myself to open the door.

"Andrea?" I opened the door, wondering how he had found me.

"Cici told me you don't want to help me with Richard. Is it true?" He asked as he walked inside and slammed the door behind him.

I walked to my bedroom and sighed. "That is not what I said. I just told her I need some time before facing my ex. Richard and I had a rough divorce, and I'm still hurting."

"Richard killed my brother!" he sneered, pushing me against the wall. "The one who rescued you and your mother from the damp. You mean to tell me that after everything Roman has done for you, you want to spare the man who took his life?"

"I saved him!" I retorted. "Cici and I are the ones who got him back from the dungeon, and I did everything I could for him to live. Roman knew I had his back and would do anything he asked me."

"If that's the case, why are you hesitating on my plan to make Richard pay? You are the one who can get through him and get him where we want him, Lorene. Or are you still dickmatized by him?"

I rolled my eyes and pushed him off me. He had no right to speak as if he knew me. I had plans to make Richard pay for how he treated me when we got divorced.

He used me and discarded me as if I were nothing and had the nerve to ask me to let him be with Natasha. They were both going to feel my wrath.

"You know nothing about me, Andrea. We both know that you're doing this because you don't want people to think that you never cared about your brother. You've always wanted his business and the club," I sneered, looking at him.

"If you know me so well, then why did you sleep with me, Lorene? Wasn't it my ambition that made you want me to warm your bed every night when Richard was married to Natasha?" he asked, closing the gap between us. "You loved this dick, which makes me wonder if Richard has been giving it to you better than I did."

"I left him, didn't I? I also wouldn't waste a good dick by killing him."

"So, you loved mine?" he smirked. "I knew you missed me."

I gulped, taking in his scent, which once drove me crazy before I found him with another woman in his apartment.

Though he swore it was nothing, I was already with Richard, waiting for my chance with him.

The money he gave me was enough for me to stay, even though I never enjoyed being intimate with him.

Andrea knew how to give it to me. He rocked my body, leaving no spot untouched, and made me feel like a woman.

But because he was Roman's brother, it wasn't easy leaving Richard to be with him.

I didn't want to be involved with a man who would put my life at risk because of what he did for a living.

So, I chose a life with Richard. When he promised to leave Natasha when Kyle had grown, I saw nothing wrong in waiting for that while Andrea warmed my bed.

"I'll help you with Richard if you help me get rid of a body."

"A body?" He scoffed, leaning back. "Did you kill someone here?" He asked.

"Will you help me with that?"

"It depends on where you stored the body and how long the person has been dead. But if you ask me nicely, I'll do everything I can to ensure that nothing leads back to you." He smirked, caressing my cheek with his thumb.

"If you want me in your bed, forget it. You're married, Andrea, and I'm done with married men." I moved past him, turning off the alarm that would go off at 5 AM.

"Come on, you know my marriage to Celine was solely for the peace between our families. She's not the woman after my heart. If you had agreed to make our relationship public, I would've gotten married to you."

"You help me get rid of a body, and I help you get rid of Richard. That's the deal." I turned to him, opening the door so he could leave.

He leaned forward and smirked. "Don't spoil the fun, Lorene. You know you still want my tongue on your clit, and I can see that in the way your face is flushed. I have an hour to spare."

I looked at him and closed the door. I hoped he would be worth my time, plus I needed the release.
