Chapter 170: You Betrayed Her

Andrew's POV

Jane has been pregnant for over a month now. As a grown man, I never knew what the pregnancy process was really like for women.

Sure, I'd dealt with similar storylines when filming, but what you see on TV is always fake.

Ryan gave me an idea - he said I could take Jane to a prenatal class. That way, we could learn more about it and also strengthen our relationship.

What I didn't expect was running into my high school classmate Nova at the class.

Nova had witnessed everything between Olivia and me back in high school. But after I went abroad, we lost touch.

Nova was always a big talker in high school. Running into her here didn't bring me the joy I might have expected.

Nova and York invited Jane and me to lunch. I wanted to refuse, but if I did, Jane would definitely overthink it.

After all, she's pregnant. I didn't want her to worry too much.

Just as I expected, Nova brought up Olivia during lunch and mentioned some things about Olivia and me. I clearly saw Jane's expression change, though being well-educated, she managed to control her emotions.

After lunch, I drove Jane back to The Lopez Mansion. My mind was all over the place during the drive. At that moment, I suddenly missed Olivia terribly and wanted to see her.

After dropping Jane off at home, I drove to Olivia's grave.

This was a place I'd never dared to visit easily over the years. Olivia was buried here, and with every step closer, I could feel the pain in my heart.

She died for me.

She used her life to let me live.

I'll owe her for the rest of my life.

The weather was nice today, with a gentle breeze. I came to Olivia's tombstone and looked at her photo from when she was eighteen. My feelings were all mixed up.

I reached out and ran my fingers across her photo. It was ice cold, like touching her once-young face.

Just as cold.

My emotions were a complete mess at that moment.

I stared at her photo and said to myself, "Olivia, do you know I've always missed you?"

"All these years, you've been so cruel - you haven't appeared in my dreams even once. Are you blaming me for not visiting you all this time?"

In the photo, Olivia smiled gently, just like she did when she was alive.

Just then, I heard footsteps behind me. When I turned around, I found Henry standing there.

He smiled when he saw me.

I asked him, "What are you doing here?"

Henry didn't answer my question. He placed the flowers he'd brought in front of Olivia's tombstone.

He said, "All these years, while you haven't come to see Olivia, I've been visiting her regularly."

"I understand you haven't gotten over losing her. Andrew, even though you're married now, I know the woman you love most will always be Olivia."

Henry's words left me speechless.

I suddenly realized Henry seemed to have some issues.

What happened between Olivia and me was between the two of us. This wasn't the first time he'd used my past relationship with Olivia to guilt-trip me.

As if loving another woman would be a betrayal of Olivia.

That's not how it works.

"Henry, I think you're overstepping."

"Whether or not I love Olivia is my business, not yours. We're just friends. I don't want you interfering in my love life."

"Also, I want you to stay away from Jane from now on. She's my wife, carrying my child. I don't want her hurt in any way."

After hearing this, Henry frowned. With everything I'd learned these past few days, I could tell that when Thora was kicked out of the hospital, Henry must have let his personal feelings heavily influence that decision.

Deep down, he sided with the Gonzalez family.

My warning made Henry's expression turn ugly.

He pressed me, "Why are you saying this? Have you fallen in love with Jane?"

I had indeed fallen in love with Jane over these three years together. That was an undeniable fact.

Even in front of Henry, I had to admit it. After all, Jane is my wife. I didn't want to deny my feelings for her in front of others.

"What's so strange about me loving her? She's wonderful and deserves my love." I looked Henry straight in the eye and said this firmly.

Henry's body swayed.

The next second, he suddenly went crazy, rushed up to me, grabbed my collar, and through gritted teeth, demanded angrily:

"Andrew, how can you love another woman? Don't forget, the woman you love most is Olivia."

"If you love another woman, that's betraying Olivia. I'll never accept it."

Seeing Henry's crazed expression, I was at a loss for words.

I reached out and knocked his hands off my collar.

Looking straight into his angry eyes, I had to remind him once again.

"Henry, even if I love another woman, that's my own business."

"Even if I betrayed Olivia, that's between us."

"Olivia has been gone for so many years. When she was alive, she loved me so much. Now that she's gone, she'd definitely want me to be happy."

"I think if she's in heaven, she'd bless me."

I said this to Henry, hoping he wouldn't get stuck thinking I'd betrayed Olivia.

But Henry didn't see it that way. After hearing what I said, his eyes turned vicious.

He walked up to Olivia's tombstone, looked at her photo, and let out a cold laugh.

He said, "Olivia, look - this is the man you chose, the man you gave your life to protect."

"He's fallen in love with another woman. He's betrayed you. And he says you'd bless him? How is that possible?"

"Olivia, if you can hear this, go and punish those who betrayed you."

As Henry said this, he turned around, his sharp gaze piercing my heart like an arrow.

My heart jolted violently.
