Chapter 32: Chapter Thirty-two

She continued driving, and I kept looking forward to where exactly I was going to, after a while we got to the airport and the car stopped she followed me in and made sure it was time for my flight. "It's time you left, and never come back, I turned back and looked at all the places around it was a tough decision to make leaving behind everything I cherished to a land unknown to me was something I never thought of, but if it's for Sebastian's safety I'll do anything for him, it was my first time boarding an airplane, but it wasn't an exciting experience, I didn't want to leave but everything was still confusing for me was this how I would lose the one I lived forever? I didn't know what fate had in store but I had to resign to fate.

The plane landed after a two hour trip, and I was in an entirely new area, with a different culture and atmosphere. The atmosphere was not as intense as where I was coming from. This was perfect. I had gotten the address from Ayesha before the flat, she was really prepared to send me away from her life and Sebastian, although I was sad it was a fresh start for me, not living under the shadow of a man that I loved forever. I got to the place I was to stay, and I got to the room. It was a shabby place, but I had to manage it. I had no choice but to live a new life in this city.

My mind drifted to all the fun and dangerous times I had with Sebastian. I couldn't get my mind off him, it was crazy but I wanted to try to live a better life.

It's been two days since I got to the new area and nothing was fun I needed money and I wanted to get a job, I walked out of the the house for the first time and started moving around the beautiful city, but something was strange, nobody talked to each other, they all minded their business, maybe because it was a typical Monday morning but, nobody walked in pair, I was confused it was a bit too strange,so I decided to ask someone. "Hi, please can I have a moment?" I asked, but he just looked at me and shifted his attention away from me. It was a crazy thing to do and I was really feeling off so I approached someone else "Hi, please can I have a moment?" I asked, and she gave off the same reaction. What was happening? I was a bit scared, I was in a new environment where I knew no one but no one was willing to speak to me, and more crazy they were not talking to one another, what do I do now? I thought, I continued to move down the street, it wasn't the same as the first day I came into the town so I didn't know what to do. I continued moving until I got to a cafe, so I went into the cafe and to my surprise it was empty. So I sat down and after a while someone walked up to me and for the first time spoke to me "what are you doing here today?" The person said, and I couldn't understand why he said that. "Was I not supposed to be here today?" I asked, "are you new here?" He asked, "Yes I am." I replied, and he looked at me and beckoned me to come with him. I was scared but I decided to follow him, "what's going on?" I asked, and he signaled for me to keep quiet, and I stopped talking. I followed him into the next room where he closed the door. Fear gripped me and I was thinking about the dangers of what I just did, following a stranger into a room. What if he wanted to have his way with me? What if it was a kidnapper and wanted to keep me for sale? A lot of thoughts were running through my mind at that moment and I couldn't decipher what to do,was I supposed to run or wait for him to talk about why he asked me to come in with him. "What am I doing here?" I asked, raining my voice but he immediately jumped to cover my mouth with his hands while he looked out the window in a careful manner just like there was something he was running from. All the things happening were strange and I didn't know what to do about them. I felt crazy at that moment and I waited for him to get comfortable so we could talk. After a while he sat down and asked me to come sit down in a very low tone but definitely it was not a whisper, "what exactly is going on in this city? I'm confused, everything seems strange and I can't help but feel strange." I said to him, telling him how scared and anxious I was feeling at that moment and I knew he understood me with his composed behavior and straight face. "This city is really different from what's in the outside world,we only have a day to relate to and with others but any other day, the penalty was death." He said, and I was confused, scared and surprised at the same time. I didn't fully understand what he just said, but I wanted to know more. I was really wishing for him to talk more to me about what was going on. "Please tell me why that is so?" I asked, in a very curious, anxious and frightened tone, it was really strange what he told me and I needed clarity. "You really don't think it would be too much for you to handle? You're a woman and the secrets this city holds is crazy that no one else knows about it." He said, and I looked at him, I had faced worse before coming, nothing he would say could make me feel crazy " please tell me." I said.
