Ready to Fight?

Chapter 11

Elton's POV

I was on my way to Brande's place when I saw Ava, the maid I had assigned to Tanya, walking with a frown on her face and avoiding eye contact.

"Ava, where are you going? Didn't I ask you to take care of Tanya?" I asked.

"Your Highness, Brande asked us not to distract them..." she replied timidly.

My heart skipped a beat, and I turned around and walked to the chamber where Tanya was staying.

The door was open, and I heard familiar voices.

"Tanya, this time I won't let you leave me," Brande's voice was full of love, and my heart grew heavier.

As I followed the sound to the door, I saw Brande and Tanya kissing passionately.

The last thing I ever wanted to see.

My eyes widened in surprise and anger.

"Brande?!" I yelled, out of breath.

Brande and Tanya were shocked, and I could see the passion on their faces ripping my own heart apart.

"How did you get here?" Brande asked confusedly.

"I came to find Tanya, who was chosen by the Moon Goddess as my mate," I replied, my face becoming darker with each passing moment.

"Mate? Tanya is my mate as well!" Brande exclaimed in shock.

Time seemed to stand still, and no one said anything.

The only sound was my heavy breathing, which gradually became calmer.

The excruciating silence.

Brande and Tanya looked pale, damn it, I feel like shit too.

My mind was in total chaos. I never thought that the Moon Goddess would assign two mates to one person.

After what felt like an eternity, Brande spoke slowly, "Elton, I never expected this to happen."

I know.

But I couldn't ignore this fated connection.

Before Tanya appeared, I never thought much of the mate bond. Actually it was just an excuse for me to avoid dealing with women throwing themselves at me or judging eyes from others.

But now, with Tanya's arrival, things had changed.

"I don't know what to do," I shook my head, "I love you, Brande, but she...you know what Tanya’s appearance means to me."

Brande looked pained, and his face turned white as he looked at Tanya and me.

I knew He felt the same.

Like a thousand years later.

Finally Tanya breaking the silence, she whispered, "Elton, you are also one of my destined mates. But I can't give up on Brande; we're already in love."

Hearing those words, my heart was torn apart. I didn't want to hurt my brother, but I couldn't let go of Tanya either.

Blood rushed to my head, but I tried not to lose control.

"I need some time to think," I said, "I need to consider our relationship and figure out what to do."

I left in a hurry, not wanting to face anything anymore.

As I walked down the busy street, my thoughts consumed me. The weight of my decisions and actions loomed heavily on my shoulders, leaving me feeling conflicted and uneasy.

Should I be with Tanya? How should I face my brother? Can I take her aggressively for my own? Just for my own desires.

As these questions swirled around in my head, a sense of guilt crept into my heart.

My emotions became even more complicated, and I couldn't sort out my feelings. I ended up in front of a bar, subconsciously walking in. I sat at the bar and ordered a strong drink, trying to calm down.

I buried my head in my hands, trying to find a way out of my dilWhitney. Suddenly, I heard someone speaking next to me.

"Are you troubled?" A familiar voice asked.

I looked up and saw Max, my wolf, in human form, sitting next to me, wearing a black jacket. His long hair and eagle-like eyes made him look cool and imposing.

"Yes, I'm a little troubled," I answered, "I'm caught in a difficult emotional situation."

I am drunk. I think I saw him turn into a human the last time I got drunk as well.

"Tell me about it," Max smiled, "maybe I can help you."

I turned to look at him, surprised by his gentle manner. For a moment, I thought I saw a glimpse of Brande in his features, but I quickly dismissed the thought.

Slowly, I began to confide in him about my situation with Tanya and my brother. Max listened carefully without interrupting, letting me pour out my heart.

After I finished, he leaned back and thought for a while before asking, "What are you hesitating about?"

"I don't know what to do," I shook my head, "I don't want to hurt my brother, but I can't let go of Tanya either."

"You know what?" Max leaned closer to me, "Your problem is that you're too worried about other people's feelings and neglecting your own."

"My own feelings?" I looked at him in confusion.

"Yes, you should focus on your own feelings first. Maybe the truth is that you've been neglecting yourself for too long. Why are you living your life like this?"

Max’s words hit me like a lightning bolt.

I had been hesitating because I was too worried about others’ feelings.

I decided to think things through and make the right decision, which will from the bottom of my heart, this time.

"Why are you so consumed with others’ feelings instead of your own?"

It was like a light bulb had gone off in my head. For too long, I had neglected my own desires, always putting others first. But now, it was time to take control of my life and make choices based on what I wanted, not what others expected of me.

Max is undeniably intelligent, although his appearance and behavior can be quite unscrupulous at times. Despite this, I have come to value his help in critical moments.

As I turned to him with gratitude, I was taken aback by the sly grin on his face. "That's right, go get Tania back," he said playfully. "I can't wait to hold her down. You don't know how sweet she smells!"

His tail wagged in excitement.

Well, I knew it. Max will never change.
