Chapter 25: The union.

Irene pulls Juliana up, and they ran for their dear life.

Desmond grabs a robe to cover himself and ran out to check on Juliana. On getting there, he could not find her.

“ Shit, she overheard my conversation.” He said kicking the door.

“ Guards!” He calls out and in a minute or two, they all line up in front of him.

“Get out there and hunt the princess down for me.” He orders.

“ My Lord, no one has ever seen the princess before, she is always wearing blinds so no one can recognize her.” The guard leader said.

“You will surely recognise her even if you haven't seen her before, because she is the fairest of all.” He said with assurance.

“ Bring her back to me alive, there must not be a scratch on her, okay.” He added fiercely.

“ Yes, young master.” The guard's head said, bowing and dispatch his solders.

“ Well, we've finished packing your stuff."

Lucia said, looking at Maurine.

“ Wow that's pretty fast, it took us only fifteen minutes to pack all these.” Maurine said amazed.

“ Knock! Knock!!” Damien stood at the entrance of Maurine's room and knocked.

“ Can't you just invite yourself inside, since the door is wide open.” Maurine said with irritation.

“ Are you done packing?” He asked, carrying her bag.

“ Yes, but we still have at least fifteen more minutes to catch-up with mom before driving to the helipad.” Maurine said, smiling.

“ Are you okay with the way you are being treated here?” He asks her confused.

“ No, obviously I'm not happy with that, but I have a lot to discuss with mom, please let me spend the next fifteen minutes with her since it's just a thirty minute drive to the helipad.” Maurine said, make a cute face.

“ Alright, you have twenty minutes to gossip will her, I will be waiting in the car.” He said, kissing his mom goodbye.

" So where were we?” Lucia asks.

“ Desmond head of guards dispatch his soldiers.” Maurine reminds her.

“ Juliana and her maid Irene ran for their dare life. They were on the run for like a week before we (Lucia and Beta Sean) rescued her. By then, her maid had been slaughtered by those vicious vampires.

“ Why doesn't he just steal the bracelet from my mom.” Maurine asks subconsciously.

“ He would have done that if only he had the power to open the volt, which is only you and your mother who have that kind of power, that was why he wanted to marry you to his son.” Lucia said with a smirk.

“ I feel so enraged right now!” Maurine said, close to tears.

Lucia chuckles and said, " you are indeed your father's replica. You think and act the same.”

“ When I finished telling your father about your mother's plights, we left the park and headed home.”

On getting home, your mother was at the entrance, I said, " Hi Juliana, how was your day?”

She snubs me by asking Beta Sean how his day went instead.

“ Fine, it went nice.” Beta Sean replied, looking confused.

“ I need to have a word with you privately.” She said, heading to the library.

“ What was that about?” Beta Sean asks, bewildered.

“ I don't think I ever did anything to upset her.” I answered.

But he said something I didn't even notice in your mother.

“ No, I mean, what's with that hot dress.” He said, grinning widely, his eyes exuded something like hunger that couldn't be satisfied by eating alone.

Then I noticed her dressing, she was dressed in an elegant, sexy and classy knee-length red velvet gown with a high slit that shows some of her inner thigh with a halter neckline and a touch of sequins to add to the elegance and allure of the dress.

She was so noble, and the nobility starts from her hair to her toe.

Your father follows her to the library and locks the door behind. They were in there for like an hour before coming out of the library.

To my surprise, she walks up to me and wraps me up in a warm hug, she apologizes for ignoring me earlier and later told me she would love me to be a sister she never had even when she had.

I agreed to her request, and we became best of friends.

Jeff's mother and Ricardo's mate (Annabelle) also joined our friendship and it was so lovely.

A week after that, we went for the trial.

“ Welcome to our world.” Alpha Erik had greeted your mother that day, gawking at her, his stare made her uncomfortable.

“ Why is he looking at me like he would devour me anytime soon.” She whispered in my ear.

About thirty minutes later, the elders and Beta Sean, who had earlier travelled on a business trip, arrived at the courthouse.

They all delegated about the matter for almost two hours and at the end of it all, our newly chosen priest, Ricardo, stood up and put the court in order.

“ Order please.” He said firmly.

“ We all see the evidence of the moon god tie in their fingers, and who are we to delegate on what to be done when the moon god himself has made the decision.” He said with agitation.

The elders all nods in agreement to his words.

“ Now all we have to do is make sure we keep her away from danger of those looking for her, and it's for us to make sure to strengthen our defense in every corner of our world.” He continues firmly.

“ As a priest to the moon god. I Ricardo is supporting Beta Sean and princess Juliana's union.” He said, and stamps the marriage approval document with his fingerprint.

Other elders started following suit.

They all stamp the paper with their prints and, lastly, alpha Erik has no option but to do the same.

Your father then happily hugs alpha Erik and said to him. “ Thanks so much, bro, it wouldn't have been possible without your support and approval.”
