Chapter 45: Elliott

ELLIOTT

“ Here" Elliott handed a rifle to a confused Lloyd.

“ What for boss?" He asked, brows furrowing.

“ We're going hunting." He replied, without sparing a glance at him.

“ But boss..we have more than enough meat, more than enough to host the big shots from Dubai next month," Lloyd protested.

“ Are you going to stay quiet and do your job or you want me to find someone who can ? Elliott said, tucking a revolver behind the black long leather coat he had on.

The remaining words got stuck in Lloyd's throat—he knew his young boss wasn't mincing words and in this world replacement meant death. He quietly and obediently followed his boss into a black bullet proof van, and they zoomed off into the young night to find their unlucky victim.

Their first stop was at a Ranch house occupied by a family of four. The kids didn't fit their required age so they left after a few minutes, leaving nothing but the crackling of flames behind.

On and on and on the went in and out of homes leaving flames in their wake.

The eighth house was a modern styled house—home to a family of six. The parents,a dark haired man and a blonde haired woman in their mid forties were as good-looking as their four kids—two pairs of twins.

Lloyd was pleased. The family was perfect to fill a gap in his line of business and....

“ Bang! "

The sound of gunshots rent the air followed by silence—the kind death brings.

“ Boss! " Lloyd yelled. They were perfect! We could have made a lot of..." The look on Elliott's face made him pause mid sentence realization suddenly dawning on him. How did he miss that?

“ It's not about more meat is it? " He stepped towards Elliott who was silently reloading his revolver.

“ Who is it?" He asked.

“ Stop acting like you know me." Elliott scoffed in annoyance.

“ You're angry," he continued regardless of the fact that Elliott was now staring at him with a dark and angry gaze.

“ But taking out your anger on different targets won't help. It'll only raise suspicions. People would ask questions boss. And you know what happens when people have questions—they start digging for answers. And you know having the cops sniffing our asses is bad for business. We can't afford to attract attention, not when it's just a month to hosting some big shots from Dubai."

“ Fine." Elliott let out a sigh, pushing his anger and frustration behind him. “ We can't afford to mess things up. But in the meantime, have your men clean things up and leave no traces."

“ Yes boss." Lloyd stared at the corpses one last time before walking out after his boss.

THE NEXT DAY

Olivia twirled Infront of the huge mirror in her walk in wardrobe.

“ Today I take what's rightfully mine." She smirked at her reflection. She was dressed in a tight pink leather bum short and and white crop top instead of Rosevale High's school uniform.

“ This should do." She smiled to herself after adding another layer of bright red lipstick and mascara. She looked bold and seductive—a style completely against campus rules.

She slipped on a pair of heeled boots, grabbed her purse and car keys and walked out of her room, past her dad at the dinner table and was about opening the front door when he called out to her.

“ Olivia Angela Grayson! Where are you going dressed like that, why are you not having breakfast and can't you greet?"

“ Am I supposed to answer all that? She scoffed.

“ I won't tolerate such attitude from you. I am your father! Did your mother teach you

manners at all? " Mr Grayson snapped.

“What mother? The one you threw out for her maid?" Olivia taunted with an eye roll ignoring the enraged look on her father's face.

“ I have no time for this nonsense father," she continued hands akimbo. “ Today's a big day for me and I'm not going to let you or some disgusting calories," she pointed at the dinner table, “ ruin it."

Mr Grayson could only watch in stunned silence, mouth wide open as his daughter walk out the door in that little outfit. But he won't lie, how she looked in them made him feel hot, down there.

ROSEVALE HIGH

The ride from the Grayson's residence to Rosevale was thirty minutes long but Olivia managed to arrive in ten. Her plan was simple. Arrive early before anyone else, get into Elliott's quarters, make him fall for her then make it to Miss Grace for a new uniform.

She smiled as she sighted Elliott moving out of the garage just as she pulled in. This was going to be smoother than planned. She quickly killed her car's engine and got out going over the words she rehearsed in her mind.

She tailed him to his private quarters. It was expensive and luxuriously furnished. She imagined herself and Elliott bent over on the sofa, making love while others sat through boring lectures.

“ Why are you following me?" His cold voice jolted her out of her dirty imaginations.
