Chapter 44: The strange woman
OLIVIA
“ Stop being dramatic and do what I asked!" She yelled into the phone.
Beep. Beep. Beep.
Olivia yelled as the person on the other end hung up on her.
“ I'm going to get you Mara. Just wait." She swore underneath her breath her chest rising and falling rapidly.
She turned and walked out of the empty classroom to Mara's locker. If she needed to put things in order, she has to be calm. And she knows the perfect stuff for that.
She walked through the hallways, hurriedly, took the left turn and soon made it to the girls locker room. She looked around carefully and slowly made it to Mara's locker. She looked left and then right, and punched in Mara's locker combination when she was sure no one was watching.
She searched through the Mara's carefully arranged belongings, her frustration heightening every passing second.
“ You won't find it there." Olivia turned startled but relaxed when she noticed Mara.
“ Where did you put my stuff?." She asked breathing erratically.
“I threw them out." Mara leaned on the door frame eyes fixed on the girl who appeared to be separated by a thin line between sanity and craziness.
“ How dare you throw away my stuff!." Olivia yelled, pulling her hair and scratching her arms—a sight she was very familiar with. She almost regretted what she did but quickly snapped out of that feeling of pity.
“ I'm done being used by you Olivia. If this is your definition of friendship? I'm done. Find somewhere else to hide your drugs." She said and walked out immediately before the pitiful sight of Olivia softens her heart.
4 HOURS LATER
Olivia stumbled out of the Uber and through the gates of the Grayson's mansion, swaying like a branch in a snow storm. She dragged herself through the entrance and all the way to her sitting room grateful that her dad was at work and Maria with him like the leech she was.
With shaky hands she rummaged through the contents of a box she pulled out from underneath her bed. She took out a used syringe and drew out a strange liquid from a vial then stabbed herself with it like one possessed by a violént spirit.
She let out a deep breath and collapsed on the floor and was out a few seconds later.

“ Why are you so indifferent to your own blood?," “It's been 16 years and you don't care to know what they even look like?!"
A woman whispered into the phone looking around cautiously in the empty warehouse of the Grayson's company.
“ Why should I care?, the families we sent them to take good care of them and they're doing fine by themselves, so what exactly do you want?." A male voice on the other side of the call replied.
“ Money. Wealth. Everything Ello, I want everything. And I'm going to do everything to get it." The woman replied, the desperation and greed quite obvious from the tone of her voice.
“ hmmp.....i see someone is tired of being a maid, the man taunted, his mocking laughter filling her ears and almost driving her to the edge.
“ Laugh all you want Ello, but I'm going to get their properties for myself even if you help me or not. I don't mind using them." She hung up and walked out, after confirming no one was watching.
