Chapter 30

Karin's POV

I turned to see Adrien leaning up against the wall, and my heart somersaulted in my chest. I walked over, and he took me in his arms. “I did, actually.” I smiled up at him.

We kissed softly, and it was different from how we normally kissed; it was tender and sweet, as if he had been waiting to get me alone too.

“Let’s go home,” he whispered.

I smiled. That sounded so good. “Okay.” We walked out the front, and he hailed a cab. Ten minutes later, we pulled up in front of my apartment.

“Thank you,” I said as I climbed out. I turned and handed Adrien twenty dollars, and he shook his head as if annoyed.

“I’ve got it,” he said.

He climbed out, and we walked through the foyer, hand in hand, as he remained silent.

“Where are the doormen?” he asked as he looked around.

“There are no doormen.”

“There’s no security in this building?” He frowned in surprise.

“There’s security.” I pointed to the intercom on the wall. “Nobody can get up without being let in.”

He frowned as he assessed it. “Any fucker could walk in here.”

“You are said fucker tonight.” I smirked.

He chuckled as he wrapped his arms around me. “That I am.”

We rode to my floor and walked down the corridor; my heart beat so fast. This was different from the other times we’d been together. Normally we were so blinded with arousal that we didn’t even remember walking through the front door. I opened the door and led him into my apartment, and I held my breath as his eyes scanned the space.

My apartment was tiny—it would literally fit into his bedroom.

“It’s nice,” he said.

I giggled. “You’re a terrible liar.”

He chuckled and took me into his arms. “Anywhere with you is good.”

Our eyes locked, and something changed between us. The anger and animosity between us had been replaced with tenderness.

The man I had met in that suite was here.

“Are you hungry?” I asked. “We could get some Uber Eats. Caramel cheesecake.”

“What the fuck? You don’t actually get Uber Eats, do you?” he asked, horrified.

“All the time.” I shrugged.

“Are you serious?” he stammered. “You actually give strangers access to your food?”

“They’re delivery drivers. Why wouldn’t I?”

“They see a meal for one. Put some Rohypnol into your food, wait for half an hour until they know you’ve eaten it and are unconscious, and then come back, break in, and take advantage of your body.” He dusted his hands in front of him. “Boom, easiest crime in history.”

My face fell. “What?” God, I’d never thought of that.

“True story,” he said as he walked around my apartment. “If I were a rapist, that’s what I would do.”

“I don’t know whether to be impressed or terrified by your evil thought process.”

He turned back to me, and his face softened. “Impressed—let’s go with impressed.”

I giggled as he took me into his arms. “Okay,” I murmured. “Impressed it is. Why have you been so cranky with me this week?” I asked softly as I ran my fingers through his dark hair.

“Because you’re fighting with me,” he whispered. “I don’t like it.” His lips took mine, and his tongue swiped softly through my lips.

“I’m not fighting now.”

“And look how fucking beautiful you are,” he said tenderly as he cupped my face in his hands.

Our kiss deepened, and I wanted him naked. In my bed and naked. I slid his shirt off over his head and unzipped his pants; his lips stayed locked on mine as if he was unable to drag them away.

His chest was broad with a scattering of dark hair, and his stomach was rippled . . . but it was his dick that stood out.

The man was hung like a horse. I didn’t know if this thing even went down. I most definitely had never seen it soft.

“You need to get on my bed on your back now,” I whispered as my eyes dropped down his delicious naked body.

He smiled broadly. “That’s the best thing you’ve ever said to me.” He dragged me through the apartment by my hand and into my bedroom; in one quick movement, he unzipped my dress, and then he slowly slid it down.

He held my hand as I stepped out of it, and his eyes dropped hungrily down my body. “You are so fucking beautiful, Karin.”

My heart swelled at the way he was looking at me.

He laid me down and spread my legs and slowly stroked himself as he stared down. I writhed as I waited for his touch. His lips took my nipple into his mouth, and my back arched off the bed. His fingers slid through the lips of my sex. He hissed in approval as he felt how wet I was. My breath quivered on the inhale. He was just so . . .

Adrien Vale knew how to touch a woman.

Everything was magnified, to the point where even his blazing stare could make me orgasm.

His lips made a delicious trail down my body, and he kissed my inner thighs with his open mouth. My hands went to the back of his head. His hands held my legs wide open, and his thick, strong tongue swiped through me.

My back arched in pleasure as my head tipped back to the ceiling. “Oh God.”

He licked me, slowly at first, and then, as if he was unable to control himself, he began to really eat me. His stubble burned my sex as my body began to ride his face. “Oh . . . so good,” I whimpered.

He lifted my legs to sit over his shoulders, and the change in position had my body trembling with need.

“Oh God,” I whimpered as my hands fisted in his hair.

“Come. I want to taste you,” he moaned into me.

I convulsed and shuddered deep inside my body as I clung to him. He lapped me up like I was his last supper. He pulled back and unwrapped a condom and passed it to me; I slid it on him with a soft kiss to his cock.

With his eyes locked on mine, he lifted my legs around his waist and, in one strong movement, slid deep into my sex.

We stared at each other as the air was knocked from our lungs.

“So fucking good,” he whispered as our eyes searched each other.

He pulled out and then slowly slid back in. My mouth hung slack at the feeling of his possession.

Nobody fucked me like Adrien Vale . . . nobody.

I could try to deny this emotional attachment all I wanted, but the physical . . . I just couldn’t.

He circled deep inside and then slammed back in. I cried out as the air was knocked from my lungs. Then he was riding me—deep, punishing hits—and my bed hit the wall so hard it might knock it down.

“Fuck, fuck, fuck,” he moaned into my neck.

He lifted one of my legs, and I couldn’t hold it any longer. My body contracted around his, and he hissed as he came with me.

We clung to each other as we panted, and I smiled up against his cheek as euphoria ran through my blood.

Adrien Vale was my new drug.

And I was his crack whore.
