Chapter 3: Met!

Paisley sat on the sofa, wearing a bathrobe, and her hair was wet on her shoulders. Carl couldn't help but steal a glance, but he regretted it in his heart.

A few days ago, torrential rains swept over the city. After leaving work, Carl happened to see a woman soaked to the skin pacing in the rainstorm in a living quarter, looking pitiful.

That woman was Paisley!

She was wearing a white-collar uniform and was drenched in the rain.

With the spirit of humanitarianism and the fact that he was home, Carl took pity on her and handed her the umbrella.

Just as he was about to go up the stairs, however, he immediately looked back to find that the woman was wet all over and held an umbrella following him.

"Hey, why are you following me in this heavy rain? Hurry up and go home." Carl said loudly at her.

Paisley returned the umbrella to Carl, staring at him with her big eyes, and said pitifully, "Brother, let me go to your home to shelter from the rain. I won't keep you long."

Hearing what she said, Carl instantly covered his wallet. It was said that a female cheater recently appeared in many residential areas, hiding in dark corners, specializing in gaining men's sympathy by pretending to be miserable, and then scamming their money, with unimaginably queer opening statements.

"Did I have the bad luck to run into a cheater today?"

Carl thought silently, then rejected her. But the woman was still very insistent that she had been drenched in the rain for half a day and that the only person who had given her an umbrella was Carl, and she praised that Carl was a good person. She said that she was an islander and the first time she came to London, she lost her wallet and all her ID bank cards inside. Now she didn't have anywhere else to go. She only wished she could go to Carl's house to take shelter from the rain, and when it stopped raining, she would get a replacement bank card.

After looking around for a while, Carl made sure that this woman was the only one around, and agreed to let her in to take shelter fromt the rain. That was what he thought. She was a weak woman anyway. Couldn't she still rob him?

How could he have expected that the woman would stubbornly refuse to leave after entering the house, saying that she was begging Carl to take her in for a few days, and that she would definitely leave when this period of time had passed.

She was unwilling to leave under both hard and soft tactics. Even Edward also came to persuade her several times. However, it was of no avail. Carl was forced to play his trump card to force her out tonight!

Seeing Carl sitting on the sofa in a serious manner, Paisley had a bad feeling. She knew that the man in front of her would definitely want to drive her away. But she was determined to run away from home this time, her bank card had been frozen by her family and the money she had with her had been spent. If she just compromised and went home, the purpose of her running away from home would be defeated.

She looked sharp and said smartly, "I'm going to bed. You have to work tomorrow. Go to bed early. Good night."

Saying that, Paisley got up to run.

"Wait!"

Carl shouted, "You've been here for so many days. It's time to go, right?"

Paisley looked back at Carl pitifully, giving him puppy-dog eyes, and said innocently, "Carl, please let me stay for a few more days. I don't have a penny on me, I will definitely starve to death if I go out. Besides, I'm so pretty. Wouldn't you feel sorry for me if I run into bad people when I go out at night?"

As she said, she shed tears.

Carl was a bit angry. It was said that people in showbiz were good at disguises. Paisley was a model, so she must be good at disguises. If there had been a woman living with him in normal times, he would have been able to flirt and tease her to pass the time when he was bored. But this woman did nothing and stayed at home all day freeloading. How could he support her if he couldn't even feed himself?

"Stop acting innocent and quickly change your clothes and leave." Carl's voice was cold and ruthless. He had to force this woman away today.

"Carl, are you really so cruel to let me, a weak woman, wander the streets and endure the wind and sun and bad guys bullying me?"

Paisley acted cutesy like Taiwanese woman.

"No way!"

Carl continued to refuse cruelly. He really did not believe that she would come from the island to London without any money, and looking at what she was wearing, she was obviously a rich woman.

He immediately became serious and said, "If you don't leave, I'll really report it to the police, and then you can tell your story to the police."

"Carl, don't go too far. I just want to stay for a few more days."

Paisley, who had been acting cutesy, immediately turned into rude and unreasonable. The girl who had been innocently giving him puppy-dog eyes was gone.

After spending a few days together with her, Carl had already seen this woman's acting skills. She could change her expressions quickly.

"I'm not overdoing it. I'm just warning you. If you don't leave, I'll really report you to the police." Carl still pulled a long face and said.

"OK, you have guts. Call the police if you want."

Carl "......."

Bam!

Carl found her outrageous. He bounced his head on the couch three times. He had never seen a girl be so shameless. Was it said that girls were reserved?

The TV was portraying A Wicked Ghost, but in front of the TV, Carl was standing on the couch with her, looking at each other in anger.

Time seemed to stand still in this moment.

A long time past, Carl conceded, "Hey, I still have to work tomorrow. Don't get sidetracked. What exactly do you need before you're willing to leave?"

"Well, I'm not going anywhere. Let it be."

"OK, don't be sorry!"

Carl jumped off the couch with a sneer, then rushed to the TV cabinet and opened a drawer to rummage through an out-of-print movie he'd been collecting for years.

Paisley stared at him curiously with big eyes for a long while before saying, "Carl, what are you looking for?"

Without answering her, Carl finally searched through the top corner of the drawer and pulled out the out-of-print movie of Sora Aoi, then quickly opened the DVD player and put the disc in.

Carl sat still and let her curse him.

Seeing that Carl did not move, Paisley scolded for a while and she seemed unable to find an outlet. She pursed her lips and said, "I can also watch it. I will do it in the future anyway!"

Carl broke out in a cold sweat, almost piling headlong on the sofa. This girl was really too bold.

At this moment, however, there was a click sound and the house was instantly enveloped in darkness and the power went out!

Carl jumped up in fright, "Fuck, the power went out at a critical moment. The switch must have tripped again."

Paisley laughed in the darkness, "You deserve it. Why don't you go see what's going on."

"Wait. I'll deal with you when I get back."

Carl said fiercely, and took the flashlight with the electric pen, and then he opened the door and walked to the hallway to see if the electric switch had really tripped.

However, the moment he had just stepped out of the door, Paisley immediately took a step and ran forward slamming the door, shutting Carl out.

Carl knocked hard on the door, "Open the door quickly. I don't have the key with me."

"No way. I am going to bed. Hey, dude, it's cool outside. Go to sleep."

After saying that, there was no longer any sound in the house. No matter how hard he knocked on the door, Paisley did not pay any attention to him. He came out to see the switch, with no key on his body at all, only wearing flip-flops and big pants. Did he look for abuse in the middle of the night?

The most important thing was that the new female boss was officially on duty tomorrow. So if he took a day off with a cold, he would have a hard time!

It was only today that he had locked the bar girl on the rooftop, but he didn't expect to be locked out by Paisley at night. Was this karma?

Thinking of this, Carl got angry, kicked the door hard and shouted angrily, "Paisley, don't come out for the rest of your life if you're capable, or I'll kill you!"
