Chapter 140: 140 Torture

In an attempt to keep Kamara from hearing their chat, Louis approached Enzo and moved him to a secure distance.

"Speak the truth," He tried to compress Enzo's throat, but it didn't appear to work. "You'll have to admit that you gave the order for the kids to be abducted if you tell her the truth."

Louis fell to the other side as a result of Enzo pushing him with strong force at that point.

"Louis, who do you think you're dealing with?" Enzo's wolf gradually came to light. "Do you really believe you can come here and get involved my business without getting caught?"

"Kamara's life is your business? Can you hear yourself? Kamara's life is not a business." Louis stumbled to his feet and lifted his head to meet Enzo's gaze. "It was not our intention for you to kill her; it was for me to keep her away from Caiden."

Enzo chuckled, but when Louis stepped in front of him, his smile vanished. "We are not in agreement," he answered. "I decided to handle things my way because I know you won't be able to win her back."

"So you'll need to get through me." His heart felt like it was going to burst inside his chest. Louis was aware that he would always come up on the losing end of a fight with Enzo.

Enzo's expression became a little more intense.

"If that is your desire." Louis felt the weight of his warning, even though he delivered it quietly and as if it meant nothing.

Enzo gave him such a huge jab to the chest that Louis was totally unprepared. His legs faltered and he staggered backward, landing on his knees in front of Enzo as he felt the air escape his lungs.

Enzo snarled at him, forcing him to look into his eyes and grabbing his hair. "I wished for a fair fight with you, but you're too weak to face me like a man."

"Enzo, fuck you." When Enzo punched him in the same location once more, Louis used all the might in his body to spit in his face.

Gazing past Louis, Enzo noticed Kamara hurrying to join them. His intention was to witness Kamara pleading for Louis's life and then let her down. Enzo loved nothing more than to watch Kamara suffer, and he would not let that chance pass. From his pocket, he withheld a vial that he intended to apply to Kamara directly. Kamara yelled when he firmly seized Louis's face and made him open his mouth.

She instantly stopped and put out her hands, as though pleading for mercy, saying, "Please, Enzo, don't hurt him. Let's solve this together, just the two of us. Your problem is with me."

Enzo poured the drink down Louis's throat while giving her a savage look.

As Louis began to gradually lose consciousness, he released him, saying, "Don't worry, Kamara, he won't die. It's just you and me right now."

There was nowhere to run to. Grabbing Kamara by the waist, Enzo used his strength and wolf might to drag her away. Without comprehending what was happening, she closed her eyes. Kamara realized that this could be the end of her, and a shiver went through her body. She felt her bones break as Enzo hurled her to the ground, and she screamed in agony, nearly losing consciousness.

"What was it that you made Louis to drink? She muttered, struggling greatly.

"Kamara, you shouldn't worry about him so much when your life is in jeopardy."

He reached her, grabbed her by the throat, and pulled her to her feet, causing Kamara to freeze. When Kamara's foot touched the floor, she screamed in agony once more. Her body writhed in agony, making it impossible for her to distinguish which bone had broken.

"Enzo, why don't you just kill me and be done with it?"

The way his hands were suffocating her made it nearly impossible for her to speak. But Enzo relaxed, giving her room to breathe.

"Kamara, I won't kill you. Not now." His speech had an even sharper tone that made Kamara shudder. "You must first endure suffering before you have the luxury of passing away."

Tears briefly filled Kamara's eyes, but she forced herself to swallow them when she realized it was just what Enzo wanted and turned to face him.

"You must bleed before you are destroyed." Kamara moaned in agony as he tightened his grip on her face. "You must be aware of Louis's extensive usage of you. Kamara, I'll break your heart the like you broke mine."

Kamara was perplexed by his statement. Her heart squeezed in her chest. What secrets did Enzo conceal in order to support his claims? When had Kamara hurt his heart this time? Kamara refused to let Enzo influence her, pushing all the feelings that weakened her deep into her psyche.

"What do you mean by that?" At the question, Enzo lost all self control and shoved Kamara once again.

She was able to remain upright this time, but it cost her excruciating pain. She felt as though her bones were breaking as she went slowly down the tree trunk, leaning her body against it.

Sliding his body slowly with each syllable, he said, "Jessie went crazy when you returned to the pack with that cursed story that the kids had disappeared." Eventually, his eyes met Kamara's. "Kamara, I would never let a dirty orphan like you cause my sister to suffer."

Kamara appeared disoriented by Enzo's comments, though. Who the hell did he think he was talking to?

"Well, I hired Louis to surprise you at the Moon Howlers pack," Her eyes got bigger. "His goal was to prevent you from approaching Caiden by taking you Faraway and prevent you from locating the kids."

As the air left her lungs, Kamara felt her mouth dry. "That can not be true."

"Kamara, you are so stupid. You fell for Louis's lies and thought he was shielding you from Caiden's threats."

She laughed out loud.

"Although he was merely carrying out my instructions, you fled with him and went into the Mystic Moon pack to hide." A grin that was more fierce, and his eyes sparkled at her pain. "I gave him a very good price to do that."

But Kamara was utterly paralyzed by the remarks and was unable to speak. A tear trickled down her cheek, and Enzo felt a surge of happiness. He'd accomplished his mission.

"Did you truly believe he was in love with you?" He made fun of her. "Not even Caiden loves you, Kamara. He only keeps you around to maintain contact with the children. You are nothing more than a time and space waster."

Kamara felt her heart melt with disappointment and sadness, but she forced herself to hold back the tears once more. She was unable to keep staring into Enzo's eyes.

"I'm going to convince you that your best option is to die." He got back up and faced away from her. "You'll beg me to take your life, and I'll be happy to do so."
