Chapter 21
Amelia froze in her seat as she tried not to make it noticeable that she was surprised by her words. She didn't know why it bothered her so much, even though she was more than aware of the fact that the girl was lying.
"And what makes you his mate? I Wanted the whole thing so he could find one. I am a bit confused by how that works.`` She had Nora say something, and she watched as her eyes flashed red.
Well, we found out recently, but he was stupor and he wanted to make sure that I was strong enough to handle the affairs of the pack, and that was why he made the decision to go through these trials, but truly, he has a mate meme. Even if I wasn't his, I am much stronger than the lot of you put together, and I could easily be able to take him down. So why don't we skip all of the formalities and state the facts? The fact is that I am better and smarter, and I have a higher chance of winning. It is as simple as that". She said as her words echoed through the room.
She felt her body freeze at her words. She had no right to deny that she knew that the girl was beautiful. She stood no chance against her, and the Alpha would be bound not to want her, but she was unnerved by her words, and she could tell from the confidence that she radiated. It intimidated and unnerved her to no end.
She let out a sigh from her lips as she squirmed in her seat. All of a sudden, she had little desire to be there anymore. "Well, since you're so full of yourself and you know that you are going to win, there is no point to all of this, is there really? We might win them." She heard Nora say, and she watched as the other gritted her teeth.
Nora stops at her feet as she scoffs, rolling her eyes. "You are all bark and no bite. I could easily put out any fire that you set, but I chose not to, so next time don't try to intimidate me so much. I am not one that would be intimidated." She said to her in a warning tone.
Amelia Was about to say something when she felt Nora grab a hold of her hand. Her eyes widened as she found herself more confused by everything moving around her. She was pulled out of her awe as Nora grabbed her hand and began to pull her away. She let out a sigh as she stood up and began to walk out.
She felt as though she could breathe again once they were finally in the hallway. She heard other footsteps behind her, and she turned to find Rita. "Great. You just go out and leave the blind girl by herself." She said to them in a mutter under her breath.
She let out a sigh as they looked towards Rita with an apologetic look. Sorry, we kind of didn't see you there, but don't worry, it won't happen again." Nora said to her Well, that is the story of my life because I can't see you anywhere." She said to them with a chuckle.
Nora rolled her eyes at them as they laid out a chuckle. "Whatever. Anyway, I didn't. I have had enough exhilaration for one day. I want to go to bed. She said to them, and they nodded their heads in admittance as they made their way up the stairs. The whole time, Nora hummed a tune, while Rita, on the other hand, seemed to have sent her talking about all of the thoughts that she couldn't see.
She only sighed at the sight, as she was glad to know he had friends. She hadn't thought that it would be this easy for her to make them, so it had come as a great surprise.
As they made their way down the hall. They came on and stopped at the second door in the corridor. Anyway, this is my stop. I am going to get myself sorted out before my roommate comes back. The last thing that I have to do is deal with her and her petty wins. I just want to take a break from that girl, but even though she isn't taking the home."
The children as they tilted their eyes at him. She scoffed before she let out a sigh from their lips as she made her way through the room. She sighed as she made her way out of the scene and turned her attention towards Rita. "You must be wondering where my room is when it is at the very end of the hall.
Actually, I think that I am in the middle here." She said as they came to a stop in front of her room door. "Ooh. So you are the one who got to the good part of it. You are the one who got a stop at the front of the line. He let out a sigh. I wonder what it is about the line."
Amelia shook her head as she felt a slight blush come over her cheeks. That wasn't how things were found to be for her, and she would have to take some time to try and explain it to her, but a part of her thought that she would end up landing herself in such trouble.
Well, I guess you'll just have to consider me lucky." She said. Well, get it done, you lucky girl. I will see you tomorrow. You know that we have girls to meet." She said to her. She nodded her head at her in response, watching as she stalked off to her own room.
