Chapter 65 Proposal
Elena’s POV
I was still lost from the news.
“Elena? Can you hear me?” Clara said.
“Um? Sorry I’m just a little bit…shocked.” I said, trying to get myself together.
“It’s okay, oh you are going to have a wedding.” Clara beamed and pulled me into a hug.
Liam was off being congratulated by the guests and Josh.
This mate of ours is definitely something. My wolf said.
My thoughts were forgotten immediately. You are awake.
Yes I am, have I been gone for too long? She asked as she moved around in my mind. I could see her clearly now.
You have been gone for more than a week now. I said.
Really? It felt like an hour. She said.
I frowned.
Was there something wrong with me, was that why she was sleeping so much.
If there was something wrong with you then they would be something wrong with me also. She said.
She was right. I thought. Oh yes, I still don’t know your name.
My name is…. She stopped talking.
What is it? I asked.
I can’t remember. We both went quiet.
Now this was really a problem, my wolf had been sleeping for what felt like forever and now she couldn’t remember her own name.
It’s okay, I’m sure we will remember when the time is right. I said, trying to console her.
She was silent again.
What do you think about Arya? I asked her.
It’s not bad. She said.
I smiled. Okay then, Arya, let’s try to understand each other.
She raised her snout in agreement and went back.
I looked around and saw some of the guests smiling at me because of the news, they even looked like they admired me while some glared and even sneered at me.
“Does she really think this will last?” I stopped walking.
“I don’t know, doesn’t she know that Alpha Liam has a reputation to keep, I bet once they get married, he will take a pure blood and marry her also, I mean he needs to continue the lycan line,” Celine said.
I turned around and looked at them.
“Ladies, how are you enjoying the party?” I asked as I walked up to them.
“I think you should try the food, I’m guessing you’ve had too many drinks. That is why I will excuse the rubbish I just heard you say about me and my husband.” I glared at them.
The other girl who was just listening to the both of them spoke. “Forgive us Luna, my sister and her friend were being careless with their mouths.”
I looked at the red haired girl who looked like she was about to pass out from fear. “I suggest you learn to keep your thoughts to yourself, that’s if you actually don’t want to get on the bad side of Blood Moon Pack,” I turned to Celine. “The same goes for you too Celine, Jason might be your alpha but I doubt he would want a beta who disrespects other packs especially a pack’s Luna.”
“We are really sorry Luna Elena,” the red haired girl said.
I walked away without saying anything else.
The party was over quickly and I was happy about that.
I was happier when I saw the elders were among the first to leave. I had avoided them all day but Liam was not that lucky.
After the guests left and the rest who came from far places went to their rooms for the night.
I hurried back to my room.
I was so tired that I just needed a nice bath and a good night's rest. I took off my dress and went to the bathroom.
I took a long bath and when I was done I came out.
“Oh my God! You scared me.” I said as I saw Liam sitting on my bed.
He smiled. “Woman of night, you left me in the hall.” I cocked my head.
“Woman of night? What’s that?”
“Get dressed and meet me outside I will show you,” he walked over and kissed me. “I will be waiting for you near the forest.”
“Okay,” I said and he left the room. I hurried and put on a black loose night gown and went outside.
I walked out of the pack house.
“Liam?” I yelled as I wandered closer to the forest.
Big arms wrapped around me from behind. “Yes, little mate,” I turned around to look at him.
“What are we doing here?”
He looked into my eyes. “I want you to meet my wolf.”
“Your wolf?”
“Yes.”
“Okay,” I said still looking in his eyes. I gasped when his eyes changed from black to gold.
“Hello mate,” he said. I didn’t know that Liam’s voice could get deeper.
“Connor,” I muttered.
“You know my name?” he asked.
I blushed. “Yes, I had asked Sarah about you, I wasn’t sure if you would want to see me, that’s why I never asked.”
“Do you think I hate you?”
“I just thought that you would have wanted someone strong and powerful like you,” I confessed.
“I want you as my mate and I think you are very strong,” he said.
I beamed, feeling relieved by what he said. “Can I see you, like in your full form.”
“Wouldn’t you be scared?”
“I’m not afraid of you.” I said.
“Hmm mate is fearless.”
He moved away from me and then his bones began to snap.
I looked away immediately, refusing to see them in any type of pain.
I felt something warm touching my hand. I turned and opened my eyes.
I know I had seen Liam’s wolf before but he was really huge.
I reached out to touch his black fur and he licked my hand.
“Stop it, you’re tickling me,” I giggled as he kept on licking my hand and then my face.
He bent down a bit and looked at me.
“You want me to get on you?”
He raised his snout and I took that as a yes and got on.
I held on tight to his fur.
“I’m ready,” I said and then we went off into the forest.
I was scared at first but then I began enjoying it. It felt so free and so right.
I let go of his fur and enjoyed the moment and loving the air on my body.
I was sad when we finally came to a stop.I got down and saw that Liam had set up a little picnic for us in the forest.“What’s all this?”
“It’s a little something for you,” he said and I turned around to see him on one knee.
“I’m sorry I didn’t get it right before but I want to try again. Elena Stone, my little mate, will you marry me?”
I looked at him and then the beautiful ring he had in his hand and then I smiled widely.
“Yes!”
