Chapter 125: What Will Happen To Brandon

Alessandra’s POV

That evening, I promise to make Brandon a special dinner, a way to celebrate our survival, our love, and the simple fact that we are still standing together, despite everything.

We laugh as we plan the meal, a lighthearted moment that feels like a much-needed breath of fresh air. A few minutes later, I head to the kitchen, dismissing the chefs for the night. I want this to be personal, just for him, so I begin preparing his favorite dish, pouring my love into every slice, every stir.

But as soon as I step into the kitchen, the air shifts—something terrible is about to happen.

Suddenly, flashing lights flood our yard, and the sound of sirens pierces the night. I freeze, my heart pounding. Outside, police cars swarm the driveway, their lights reflecting off the windows like ominous beacons. Officers are everywhere, their voices booming as they call out Brandon’s name.

My mind races. Why are they here? Why are they calling for my husband as if he were some kind of criminal? What could possibly warrant this sudden invasion?

Our private security halts them at the entrance, but the tension is thick, suffocating. Desperate to understand, I creep to the kitchen window and peer outside. The police aren’t leaving. Instead, they are advancing, methodically surrounding our home, blocking every exit. Some are positioned near the back door; others stand their ground in front. It is clear—they aren’t going anywhere until they have Brandon.

“Mr. Brandon Biden, come out now! You are surrounded!” One officer shouts, his voice cold and commanding.

Panic surges through me as I rush to the living room. There, I find Brandon standing by the window, his eyes wide with fear and confusion. I have never seen him like this—so vulnerable, so exposed.

“Alessandra, I didn’t do it. Trust me, please,” he blurts out, his voice trembling. His words hit me like a punch to the gut, leaving me gasping for breath. What is he talking about? What have they accused him of?

Brandon, usually so composed, is a mess. He is still in his suit, his tie askew, and his sleeves rolled up as if he had just been interrupted in the middle of something important. His phone is clutched in his hand, the screen glowing with an image that makes my blood run cold.

“What is that?” I ask, my voice barely a whisper as I point to the screen.

Brandon’s face pales. “I didn’t do it, Alessandra. You have to believe me. I swear to God, I didn’t do it. Even if everyone else doubts me, I need you to trust me. Please.”

His desperation tears at my heart, but when I take the phone from him and look at the screen, I feel the world tilt on its axis. It is a picture—no, several pictures—of Brandon with someone. Someone young, too young. A girl who couldn’t have been more than a teenager. And they are... kissing.

My heart feels like it’s being squeezed in a vise, the air leaving my lungs as I stare at the photos. The man in those pictures is undeniably Brandon. His chin, his eyes, his lips—everything is an exact match. It is him. But how can it be him?

“Brandon...” My voice cracks as I struggle to make sense of what I’m seeing. This can’t be real. It just can’t.

“Alessandra, I promise you, I would never do this to you. I would never disrespect you or betray you like this. This isn’t me!” His voice breaks, pleading with me to believe him and to see beyond the damning evidence in front of us.

But how can I? The images are so clear, so explicit. And yet, deep down, I want to believe him. I need to believe him. Brandon has always been a man of integrity, a man who lives by his principles. In all the time we’ve been together, he has been nothing but faithful, loving, and true. So how can I reconcile the man I know with the man in these pictures?

“We will get through this, just like we always have,” I say, grabbing his hands, trying to anchor him—and myself—in this moment. “We’ll figure this out.”

His eyes search mine, desperate for reassurance. “You believe me, right? Please, Alessandra, tell me you believe me.”

“Yes, I believe you, Brandon,” I say, my voice firm, though my heart quivers with uncertainty. “But you can’t resist arrest. You have to go with the police. I know you’ll be vindicated. I will do everything in my power to find the evidence to prove you’re innocent. This isn’t who you are.”

Despite his fear, he nods, trusting me as we walk outside together. The moment the officers slap the handcuffs on him, I feel my resolve harden. I won’t let this break us. I can’t.

As the press descends like vultures, snapping pictures and filming every agonizing second, I hug Brandon tightly, whispering in his ear, “I’ll find the evidence to clear your name. Don’t say anything. I’ll contact your lawyer right away.”

As soon as they drive off with Brandon, I call Robert, my trusted ally, hoping he can make sense of this nightmare.

“He’s being framed, ma’am,” Robert says, his voice steady and sure. His confidence is a lifeline in the storm of my emotions. But he isn’t finished. “It’s clear as day. Someone wants him out of the way. Don’t worry, ma’am. I’ll handle this.”

Relief washes over me like a tide. I have always believed in Brandon’s innocence, but hearing Robert’s certainty feels like a beacon of hope in this dark moment. But I can’t relax just yet.

“Contact his lawyer immediately so they don’t mistreat him in custody,” I instruct Robert. He bows and leaves to carry out my orders, leaving me alone with my thoughts.

I turn on the TV, my hands still shaking, to see what the world is saying about Brandon. My heart sinks as I watch the news coverage, the commentators already passing judgment, condemning him without a second thought.

“The cancel culture is so appalling. It doesn’t matter if someone’s been good all their life—one accusation, and they’re public enemy number one,” I mutter bitterly, watching as the world turns against Brandon, demanding that he be sentenced to life imprisonment.

How can everything fall apart so quickly? And more importantly, how can I possibly piece it back together?
