Chapter 196: You Said My Technique Was Poor and Told Me to Practice
She nodded, her eyes glistening.
His fingers twitched. She bit her lip and her eyes reddened, but she didn’t pull away.
When the time was right, he sat up and spread her legs apart.
“Tell me if it hurts.”
She nodded, then shook her head.
He thrust forward, entering her slowly and watching her expression.
She furrowed her brow and bit her lip but didn't ask him to stop.
He paused, waiting for her breathing to steady, then continued deeper.
Her fingers clenched tightly around his arm, her nails digging in.
“Are you okay?”
She nodded, her voice barely audible. "Move."
He smiled and leaned down to kiss her eyes.
Then, he began to move slowly, gradually picking up speed.
She bit her lip, but a soft, seductive moan escaped her throat nonetheless.
"Don't bite."
He pressed his thumb against her lower lip, prying her teeth apart.
Her voice could no longer be contained, drifting out in a thin whisper and sending shivers down his spine.
He leaned down to kiss her, silencing her, yet his movements beneath her never ceased.
Her entire body hung limply against him, her legs wrapped around his waist.
Many years later, Jennifer remembered the Persian rug most vividly about that scene.
Later, she mentioned the rug to Sarah in passing.
Sarah asked in surprise, "Is it the one with roses covering the entire room?"
She had seen that rug once when she visited the Kowalskis with Robert as a child and had never forgotten it.
She said, "That’s a family heirloom of the Kowalskis—a national treasure-level carpet used by the royal family! A single carpet is more expensive than the entire house in Starfield Villa!”
Jennifer vaguely remembered ruining that carpet on the very first night Michael brought her home.
Jennifer blushed. No wonder she woke up the next morning to find his tall, handsome silhouette by the floor-to-ceiling window, talking on the phone.
He wasn’t discussing anything important; he was just ordering a few servants to clean the rug.
Jennifer thought the scene was beautiful—him standing there in his high-end shirt against the backdrop of the green-filled floor-to-ceiling window.
The first thing Jennifer said was, "Uncle Michael, I'm thirsty and starving."
Last night, Michael had been more ruthless than ever before.
He had finally stopped treating her like a girl and had begun to see her as a woman he admired and desired. He no longer spared a thought for her pride or modesty.
They kissed on the sofa until the world spun around them.
Now, whenever Jennifer thought about it, her heart raced, and she buried half her face in the pillow.
Life was cut off from the outside world in the villa.
They couldn’t order takeout, and there were no shops nearby.
Usually, the butler and maids had to drive out every day to buy the freshest ingredients to cook meals.
But now that Michael had sent everyone away, naturally, no one was preparing food.
No matter how Jennifer thought about it, it felt strange. Such a vast, luxurious house, cut off from the world, felt like a prison.
“Aren’t you hungry?”
She was genuinely hungry; she was exhausted and mentally drained, after all.
Michael laughed. “No.”
"Then you were probably too busy enjoying yourself last night.”
Jennifer realized that what happened in the tent had indeed left him with a grudge.
She said, "I admit I was at fault in the tent, but later on the couch, you got plenty of satisfaction yourself."
"Who was it that held me and soothed me later last night, telling me I was beautiful and not to be afraid? I didn’t even ask. He just kept saying how much he loved me over and over.”
After Michael left, Jennifer lazed around in bed, scrolling through her phone. Just as she was about to check the trending topics for the game, her phone was snatched away.
She recalled last night’s intimacy, and her face flushed slightly.
Michael stood by the bed. “Get up and eat.” He had just cooked for her.
In her white nightgown, Jennifer walked over to the table and saw a small bowl of noodles with shredded pork and greens.
Looking a bit put out, she asked, “Is this all I’m getting? There isn’t even an egg.”
Michael sat across from the silver candlestick. "You have to save room for something else."
"Something else?"
"Noodles or me—take your pick."
Jennifer looked at his handsome face and realized exactly what it meant to be a handsome man taking advantage of his looks.
Starving as she was, she reluctantly began to eat.
It was actually Michael’s first time cooking. He had dismissed the staff specifically so he could take care of her himself.
Seeing the look of disgust on her face, his pride compelled him to insist that she finish eating.
After a few bites, she set down her chopsticks. "It's not good."
Michael’s gaze turned cold. He lifted her onto his lap. Instead of forcing her to eat, he kissed her deeply, leaving her breathless.
She pretended to protest in his arms, playing cat and mouse.
He ruffled her hair and coaxed her softly. “Be a good girl. I'll cook other things tonight."
Reluctantly, she took a few more bites, her moist lashes sweeping across his face. "Aren't you going to eat?"
He hadn't slept at all; his heart raced with restlessness, and all he wanted was to be with her. "Having you is enough for me." His nose pressed against her neck.
Jennifer smiled contentedly.
He had cut off all contact with the outside world, wanting just the two of them in it—a meticulous and twisted preference. Her lack of strength from hunger was perfect; it made things easier for him.
She wound a bit of noodles around her fork and brought it to his lips. "You should eat a little, too, or you'll be starving tonight."
Michael lost his appetite and pulled her close, kissing her again at the table.
He told the world he was on a business trip just to spend three days with her.
With only three days to be together without a care in the world, naturally, he didn’t want anyone to disturb them.
Jennifer woke up and went downstairs, where she saw Michael’s silhouette as he prepared ingredients.
She leaned her face against the doorframe. "I want my phone."
Michael took off his mask. "It's in the drawer, but you can only play with it for ten minutes."
“Why?”
"No reason. I’m not playing with it either.”
Jennifer wrapped her arms around his waist from behind. “How many days are we staying here?”
"Three. I’ve already taken time off for you. I’ll turn my phone off during that time, and neither of us will look at our phones.”
"Okay. Will you cook for me every day?”
"I will."
Jennifer took the phone to the coffee table, kneeling on one knee and tapping the screen.
After putting the food in the oven, Michael picked her up and sat her on the sofa.
She had been kneeling on the floor for ten minutes, which left red marks on her knees.
He frowned as he rubbed her knees. “Why did you kneel on the floor like that?”
"I just forgot."
"Don't do that again."
He rubbed her knees for a long time, but he couldn't make the marks fade. Leaning down, he kissed the tip of her knee. Then he looked up and met her eyes. "You're not allowed to kneel on the floor like that anymore."
Jennifer’s breath was right against his face. “Not even for you?”
The veins on Michael’s forehead throbbed, and he had to fight hard to stop himself from kissing her again.
He took her phone and kissed her forehead. “Steak in an hour.”
Jennifer turned on the projector and found a movie to watch.
Michael came out of the kitchen, saw the explicit scenes on the screen, and his expression darkened. He immediately turned off the projector. "You can't watch this."
"You're the one who said my technique was poor and told me to practice. I’m learning.”
Michael, his face grim, deleted all the movies from her cache and replaced them with pure, romantic art films.
Jennifer fell asleep soon.
He quietly watched her face for a long time.
The setting sun cast its glow, and the deep mountains were serene.
It would be nice if things could stay this way forever. Unfortunately, it was already the next day, and only one day remained.
Jennifer wasn’t actually asleep.
She knew Michael was feeding her and was pretending not to notice.
After a while, she opened her eyes.
He smiled and handed her a cherry.
She sucked the flesh off the cherry, leaving a small pit in her mouth. He reached out and let her spit the pit into his palm. Then he ruffled her hair. "Good girl. Time for steak.”
The grilled steak for dinner was delicious, and Michael cut each piece to suit her chewing habits.
Seeing her eat with relish, Michael felt inexplicably soothed.
Meanwhile, things were already stirring outside.
Lia discovered that Michael had no record of an international flight and found out that he had gone to the villa at the foot of the mountain and brought Jennifer along.
She contacted several shareholders, planning to storm in first thing the next morning, catch them red-handed, and show everyone just how unreliable Michael was.
But when Lia and her group burst in the next day, they were speechless.
