Chapter 201: Anniversary

Victoria returned home and looked at Brandon inside. "I'm back," she smiled at him.

"Mhm, rest," he replied, not looking up from whatever he was doing.

"But the doctor said you need to rest until you don't need medicine anymore. You can't keep working," Victoria reminded him. Brandon grabbed her wrist and looked at her. "Doing nothing is too boring," he said with a deep gaze.

Victoria was still lost in thought when he suddenly picked her up. "Can we do something now?" he asked, not giving her a chance to answer.

The next day, Brandon went to see Grayson. "Brother, you really got married," Gu Zhanqing said to him. Brandon frowned and asked the doctor beside him, "When will he recover?"

"The bruises are slowly fading away," the doctor replied quietly.

Grayson said, "What do you mean? Why do you look at me with such disdain? Even though I lost my memory, I still have two women circling around me. You, on the other hand, have entered the grave of marriage. Compared to me, I'm the winner."

It seemed like Grayson had regained his memories from the past when they used to compete with each other every day.

"Brandon said, 'I'm already so annoyed, how can I handle even more?'"

Grayson looked at his indifferent expression and couldn't help but be surprised. "Wow, Brandon, I didn't expect you to still care about that woman. I rarely see this expression on your face."

Brandon was stunned for a moment and turned to look at him. "Grayson, since you have so many girlfriends, how do you date?"

Gu Zhanqing was also suddenly asked, "I don't know about this. Oh, just give gifts on holidays, and surprise them often even when there's no holiday. Isn't that enough? What date is it today? Is there any holiday coming up soon?"

What date is it?

Brandon looked at the time and suddenly realized a recent date. His eyes flickered. "Next week should be our wedding anniversary."

On that day a year ago, he hadn't woken up yet, and she married him while he was still in a vegetative state.

"This is a great day..."

Grayson asked, "What are you going to do?"

Brandon thought for a moment and glanced at him. "Hurry up and recover your memory, then come to the banquet."

"A banquet? Are you going to...announce your marriage publicly?"

Brandon looked at him. "What's wrong? Can't I?"

"Of course you can...wait, are you trapped, Brandon?" He grinned.

"We already have two children. For the sake of the children, we will be together for a lifetime anyway."

After speaking, he turned and walked out. Elijah came in from outside.

"Sir, there's news from the Norris Family. It seems that the young lady has refused to cooperate with them," Elijah said cautiously.

Brandon's expression froze Refused...

Elijah looked at him carefully and asked, "Sir, have you not mentioned to the young lady that it might be beneficial for you if she could cooperate with the Norris Family?"

Brandon looked at him with deep eyes, said nothing, and turned to leave.

Elijah suddenly felt that he might have said the wrong thing and quickly followed him.

Victoria was inquiring about properties abroad. She had contacted several agents, and two of them were quite good. They recommended some suitable properties for her, and the prices were also reasonable.

Suddenly, the door was pushed open. Brandon walked in.

Victoria quickly turned off her phone and looked at him, "You're back. How did it go at the hospital?"

Brandon glanced at her phone and asked, "Are you working?"

"Yes," Victoria stood up and smiled.

He didn't say anything, walked over, and pulled her into his arms.

Victoria was stunned and looked at Elijah who was still watching behind them. Her face turned red, "What are you doing?"

"We'll go pick out a dress in a bit. I'm taking you to a banquet these few days," he said. Soon enough, someone brought over the dress.

Looking at the row of dresses, Victoria asked Elijah beside her in confusion, "Seems like it's a very important banquet."

Elijah chuckled dryly, "Yes, it's a banquet that Mr. Brandon values highly."

"Then who will be attending?

I need to prepare myself so I don't embarrass Brandon," she asked.

"Well, we're not sure either. Just focus on yourself and don't worry about preparing anything," Elijah replied with a smile.

Victoria tried on the dress and soon, the day of the banquet preparation arrived.

Victoria woke up to find a makeup artist already there to prepare her. She didn't expect it to be so grand and quickly perked up. The makeup lasted for three hours and Victoria stood there like a newly decorated precious item, afraid to move.

"Are you done?" Brandon arrived at this moment.

She turned around and saw Brandon in a black suit, his hair neatly combed back, and the tailcoat exuding a gentlemanly aura. He stood straight by the door like an ancient painting, making people feel delighted and unable to take their eyes off him.

He smiled at her and reached out his hand, "Let's go, it's almost time."

Soon, they drove to the lakeside.

The area near the Wàng Jiāng Villa, with its lush green lawn by the lake, was filled with the fragrance of flowers. As Victoria got out of the car, petals suddenly rained down from the sky. She was still in a daze when Brandon, who was standing beside her, suddenly scooped her up in his arms.

"Ah..." She was stunned, looking at the familiar faces on either side of her: Heidi, Grayson, Nadia, Mario, and Yesenia, among others.

Her long dress spread out like flower petals, and she nervously clung to Brandon's neck, feeling extremely tense.

What was going on?

As they walked down the red carpet laid out with flower petals, she was finally put down.

Heidi ran over, jumping with excitement. "Wow, President Duncan is so romantic!"

"What is this?" Victoria looked at this sudden surprise, feeling surprised.

Heidi said, "Silly, today is your wedding anniversary with Brandon!"

What?

Today?

Victoria suddenly woke up.

But she and Brandon, where did they get a wedding anniversary from?

She suddenly remembered, "Ah, a year ago, Brandon and I got married."

But all of that was handled by the Duncan Family, and she only provided her ID number. "That's also an anniversary, the beginning of your journey!" Heidi said.

Victoria looked up and saw his smiling face.

He had prepared for their wedding anniversary?

Oh my god, she didn't even know, she was so silly.

Brandon took her hand and said, "Come on, let's cut the cake."

"Okay."

They held hands and watched as the huge cake was pushed over.

"Wow, this is so romantic."
