Chapter 17

Jenn was cursing Kevin behind the wheel as she drove the car. She hated being distrusted for any reason. Her diesel dashboard was showing that the diesel tank was empty already and the car could possibly break down at any time. Jenn was angry because she had forgotten to fill up the car's diesel tank although she had it in mind to do so after using the car today probably when coming back from Victoria's mall, then she would branch at the gas station. She knew that she had to park the car at the side of the road before it broke down.

The car had tried at least to lead her over the time of five hours and counting. Jenn parked her car immediately and took time packaging her things because she already had a game plan in her brain and she was looking forward to executing it. Jenn was visibly tired from the stress but she chose not to give up. Kevin was surprised when he saw Jenn come out of the car and he didn't know whether to go back and pretend like nothing happened or approach Jenn, he chose to approach her so that he could bad mouth her for being the direct opposite of what she actually portrayed herself to be. Kevin immediately covered a little more distance came down from the car and apparently began trash-talking Jenn who let him finish saying what he wanted to say before so anything.

"So, this is it, so you have the green snake in the green grass that has pretended to be very harmful but deep down, you're worse than the devil. I decided to trail you all the way from home and followed you to only God knows where and it's obvious that your car has broken down. Well, I came very much ready and my car can go more than twelve hours journey without having any issues or something related to that. I'm glad I now know your real identity that you've been a badass pretender all this while. I could even decide to throw you down this cliff and nothing would even happen because you're such a worthless fellow with no single dignity." Kevin said deeply infuriated as he called Jenn a whole lot of unprinted names.

"Are you done calling me names, you're such a useless young man. You think I didn't know that you've been trailing me all this while and I decided to play the game with you because two can play it too. You decided to trail me because of your insecurities but I prove you wrong again that I'm far much better than you. You talked about throwing me down this cliff well, I knew you've been a beast since day one that's the major reason I'm filing for a divorce immediately after I get out of here. Don't try anything funny with me because you're gonna pay with her head." Jenn said angrily because she was already having motion sickness and she was very weak already but knew that she needed to be strong so as to continue the journey.

I knew that it was really going to be a rough ride, so I had to give my best, so as to make sure that everything turned out to be good.

Who knows what the next line of action might be?

What the hell, you mean you weren't going anywhere, you just decided to play that game with me. I should have known that, I'm sorry for the things I just said to you now." Kelvin tried to apologize to Jenn who didn't take any of it.

One thing that was provoking me at that very moment, was the way that Kevin was acting. He was just so immature and annoying, and it was really pissing me off.

Why was he even acting this way?

"Well, I don't see the need for you to apologize to me when there are a whole lotta things for you to do, you just told me your mind and stuff like that so I don't think it is necessary for you to apologize over anything. You've made me understand my place and I would never overstep my boundaries with you ever again till when we must have divorced." Jenn said looking very serious and she went to the bonnet of her car pretending like she was trying to fix her car. Kevin tried to step in because he knew that fixing cars was actually for men and not women.

"No Jenn, I can't be here and watch you fix that car while I can do it for you, you could probably wait inside my car while I fix yours," Kevin said convincingly to Jenn because he wanted to please her all cost but alas, Jenn had other plans. She observed and knew when Kevin was deeply engrossed with what he was doing and she reversed Kevin's car and zoomed off, before Kevin could say anything to her, she zoomed off immediately in his car and yelled at him while moving.

"You think you can get away with trying to show your distrust towards me well, you will have to sleep at this cliff alone or probably go over to the desert which is just at most a one hour journey from here. If you make it alive from here, then you'll learn to respect me because I'm not as dum as you're." Jenn said grinning mischievously and drove off immediately to the shock and bewilderment of Kevin.

"No, please don't do this to me Jenn please, I promise to be better and always trust you and never to trail you please." Kevin kept shouting as he tried to call the attention of Jenn who had driven out of sight and he sighed frustrated because he was left stranded there with no phone, water, or food. He felt bad that he had underestimated the loyalty of Jenn and he was paying for it already.
