Chapter 514: Nationwide Online Discussion

The group barely escaped the danger, and before they could even catch their breath, a new problem arose.

The official Twitter for the entire show was blowing up.

Countless direct messages flooded in, and the comment section was a complete mess, with no normal comments in sight.

"What the heck is going on with your show? How can it just disappear halfway through the broadcast?"

"Tell us now! Did something happen to Aurora and Leonard? If you don't, we'll flood your comment section!"

"Everyone, calm down. I have some money. I'm heading to the village where they're filming. I'll update you as soon as I have any news."

Eugene anxiously watched the live stream and the comments on the official Twitter, pacing back and forth.

Seeing everyone return safely, he hurried over and spoke slowly.

"Avril, Aurora, we were only halfway through filming. Do you think we could..."

Leonard's eyes turned cold, and he spoke bluntly.

"Because you didn't prepare in advance, they were put in danger. And now you want to ask them for help?"

Eugene's smile froze on his face. Realizing his intentions had been exposed, he felt even more guilty.

"But, but..."

He stammered for a while, then cautiously looked at Aurora and spoke slowly.

"Aurora, you know the show is responsible for this, but..."

"We did everything we could, didn't we? We even called in the official police for help!"

"Isn't that enough to show our sincerity in admitting our mistake?"

Ash, standing behind the group, looked at Eugene with displeasure.

What did those police have to do with Eugene? It was Ash who had arranged for them to come!

He was utterly shocked by Eugene's shamelessness.

Aurora thought for a moment, then nodded slightly and agreed.

"We can help explain the incident during the live stream, but the show must admit its mistake."

"Is that acceptable?"

The main reason was that Aurora hadn't yet started investigating what she came here for.

She still needed the show as an excuse to stay.

Seeing Aurora agree, Eugene quickly nodded and patted his chest in assurance.

"Don't worry, we'll tell the truth. Not a single word will be false."

"You can count on it!"

...

Within thirty minutes, Leonard, Aurora, and Avril each posted a video on their respective Twitter accounts.

First, they assured everyone of their safety, then they reported what had happened.

They detailed the encounter with the giant python.

However, Aurora deliberately left out the villagers' actions.

They were already a group of unfortunate people, and she couldn't push them further into despair.

With Leonard's help, batches of medicine and supplies were sent to Sorrowful Springs Village.

They gradually helped the villagers rebuild after the disaster.

A little girl holding a lollipop ran up to Aurora, her innocent eyes wide with curiosity.

"Aurora, why are you so nice to us? Are you the new Witch God?"

Aurora was momentarily taken aback. She knelt down to the girl's level, looking at her seriously.

"No, sweetie, I'm not a Witch God or any kind of deity," she said gently. "I'm just a regular person trying to help out. You should do the same, okay?"

Aurora spoke earnestly, hoping to make the villagers understand that happiness and the future must be fought for, not relied on some mythical god.

Unfortunately, the little girl didn't quite get it. She blinked her eyes, looking pitifully at Aurora.

Just then, a tall, thin figure ran over and hugged the little girl, gently patting her head. "Nicole, Aurora means we have to rely on ourselves from now on. You need to grow up, understand?"

This person seemed to be the girl's older sibling. After explaining to Nicole, they quickly bowed to Aurora. "Thank you, Aurora, for helping our village. The child doesn't understand, so we won't bother you anymore."

With that, the tall, thin girl pushed Nicole back into the crowd.

Suddenly, Aurora's voice rang out. "Wait! Nicole and your sister, don't leave yet!"

They paused, and Nicole's sister turned back with a forced smile, trying to stay calm. "What's the matter, Aurora? Is there something else?"

Aurora raised an eyebrow, her deep eyes staring at the girl as if seeing through everything. She suddenly asked, "I just want to know, why did the old woman who was eaten by the python choose me as the sacrifice for the Witch God?"

Aurora couldn't understand this. In a show with three men and three women, why was she the chosen one? What was their reason for choosing her?

The tall girl bit her lip, a helpless smile on her face, and spoke innocently. "We don't know much about that. We're just ordinary villagers, only participating in the rituals. We don't make decisions."

"Is that so?" Aurora's eyes turned sharp, like a blade cutting through the girl's lie. "Then why do you have the same tiger bone bracelet as the old woman?"

The girl quickly covered her bracelet, fear filling her eyes. Her mind raced, trying to find an excuse.

Aurora mercilessly blocked all her escape routes. "If you don't want to admit it, I can ask the other villagers. Someone will tell me your relationship with the old woman."

From initial tension to final resignation, the girl sighed deeply, her body relaxing. "As expected of the prophesied goddess, you're terrifying!"

"Yes, I'm her apprentice, Tina Sterling, and the next high priestess of Sorrowful Springs Village. Aurora, from the moment you stepped into Sorrowful Springs Village, your fate was sealed."
