Scarlet chuckled when she heard that. Of course she was just making some excuses in front of her brothers and aunt. She was just starting her revenge, everything they had done to her in this life and also in her previous life. So how could she be a kind hearted child and listen to the man?
In the past, she would have let him go, well, after taking everything from him but after finding out that he was responsible for her mother’s death, the sole reason she had become an orphan and finding out that the man wasn’t even her biological father, all the softness she had towards him had vanished completely.
Since he was staring at her, waiting to see her reaction, he saw her chuckling and her eyes turning dangerously cold. He panicked even more than before. He couldn’t help but wonder whether the Singhs had told her that he was the one who had…Cause there was no other explanation he could find.
Even as they left the mansion and went with the Coles, she had not been cold towards him, or had he seen it wrongly? For a second, he was in a daze, didn’t know what was the real thing.
“Scarlet, aren’t you shameless enough? Can’t you see father begging you? Or you want him to kneel down to beg you?” Ann asked angrily as she glared at Scarlet.
Scarlet averted her gaze from her so called father to Ann, she didn’t say anything, she wasn’t in a hurry to say anything to this spoilt young miss.
As her eyes were cold and she stared at her so deeply, Ann panicking and she shrinked in the seat trying to minimize her present.
“I think I have told you many times that you should shut up and not interrupt me,” Scarlet said unhurriedly but her eyes were colder. After all, staring at Ann’s arrogant face, how could she not remember everything the young lady had made her to go through?
“Maybe you still don’t know your place and need some reminder, mmh?” the calmness in her tone made everything was. Ann preferred the young lady been angry just like her, scolding or worse beating her. That way, her so called brothers would see that she was just an indiscipled girl. However, with how calm Scarlet was behaving, she had become the uncultured one instead for the outburst previously.
She couldn’t help but turn to the young men behind her and saw that they were all staring at her coldly, any of their cold would even kill her. With no need, she was so sure that if it weren’t for Scarlet’s and Sophia’s presence, they would have definitely killed her.
