Chapter 114: The Trial Two

Khalid POV

"If all the evidence is true, then the Black Moon pack will be punished." Azrik said, looking at Ivar in an intimidating way, which made the alpha shrink. "But there is another question, why bring these truths to light only now? You stayed with the Moon Warriors pack for a long time, helping them... Why didn't you tell them about these revelations?"

I looked at Hélios, as this is a question he might be asking himself, his anger is contained, but I know he can kill me if he wishes.

"Because it wasn't my job to do the work of the Alpha and Gamma of the pack." I answered truthfully. "It's not my role to find the culprits of the attacks... If the pack can't do that, then it's the pack's failure, not mine. I never hid the information, and just like I found it, they could have found it if they had looked properly."

I see Hélios clench his fists along his body, I don't blame him for that, but I won't sugarcoat my words, he needed to know the raw truth. They had failed in that, and I am not to blame for it.

"It's no secret that you were indirectly involved in the death of my mother and my girlfriend!" Hélios almost shouted.

"Well, if you say that I talked about the whereabouts of various pack leaders for sure... I talked about various packs, including the whereabouts of Azrik and Theron..." I replied and looked at the people I had mentioned. "If you couldn't protect them, it's not my fault!"

"That information was private! How did you find out?" Hélios asked and took a step towards me.

"Well... By the way, after Sophia appeared, didn't you do a cleanup in the pack to remove all the spies? There were people working on the leaders' floors!" I immediately replied. "And I'm not even saying that any of them were mine, because I never needed to place them, since you had more holes in your defenses than a target dummy!"

I heard Shara's laughter in my mind, as he is enjoying seeing Hélios lose himself in my argument. He had released his demigod power, but he is still an idiot who needs to learn about ruling.

Although I think he will never be as cunning as me and Sophia. Hélios and Achilles are not that type.

"That's why it's easy to prove that Sophia Turner, may be this woman called Naomi Blanchet, but definitely, the Moon Warriors pack kidnapped her." I completed, turning to face Azrik again.

I pointed to the pen drive on his desk.

"There are proofs that the bond between Sophia and Achilles was formed in the hospital, and even the Moon Warriors pack did several tests to determine if Sophia was just a human, as it is very rare for a human to be the Fated of a Beta of one of the strongest packs in the world." I explained and paused for a few seconds to organize my thoughts.

"Many discoveries were made about Sophia Turner's history." I continued speaking and saw that Gáta and Ivar began to despair, as they know I will reveal what happened to Sophia.

I had managed to connect the dots, that Ivar was responsible for abandoning Sophia in an alley almost dead, but it is hard to prove that, as I still haven't found the witches who cast the spell to keep Ivar away.

"What I know so far, that Sophia herself told me, is that she was abandoned in an alley, completely injured, with several broken bones and many internal damages. She only survived because some humans found her and took her to a hospital where they performed several surgeries and she survived." I looked attentively at Ivar.

For a brief moment, I saw a glint of sadism in his eyes, but it quickly disappeared and he turned to Azrik, about to speak, but Gáta held his wrist, which made Ivar shut up.

"I didn't find the medical records from that time." I know I can't lie here, but I need to be careful, so as not to seem like I am distorting things. "But the Moon Warriors pack's hospital records confirm that she underwent several surgeries and even had an organ transplant. These records are on the pen drive."

"Are you saying that Alpha Ivar hurt his mate and abandoned her to die?" Azrik asked seriously, as this accusation could change everything.

"I can't prove that Ivar did it... What I know is that Sophia Turner, or whoever she was before becoming Sophia, suffered many abuses." I replied.

Azrik looked at Ivar, waiting for his response.

"I would never hurt my mate! All this is a lie! So much so that you yourself visited Naomi, saw that the spell was undone and she returned to her normal body." Ivar defended himself.

I clenched my hands to avoid going after Ivar and hurting him until he told the truth.

Azrik finally took the pen drive while someone brought him a laptop, and a bad feeling settled in my chest. I have other copies, I'm not stupid, but there is something about this laptop.

‘It seems you are not the only one.’ I heard Shara's voice, my Daemon.

I looked at Hélios, his aura had increased and Ivar and Gáta were uncomfortable. Azrik looks at Hélios, expecting an explanation from the Alpha.

"This laptop is corrupted. If you, the council's Judge, can't notice, maybe you shouldn't be the Judge." Hélios said and pointed to the laptop.

I heard many low gasps of surprise, as no one expected Hélios to act in such a way.

I just smiled slightly, already expecting something like this. Hélios had gained a new confidence, very different from a mere mortal.

"A child trying to get the attention of an adult." Azrik smiled amused.

Really, to someone like Azrik, we are like children. Maybe I am like a teenager, but Hélios is just a baby, a newborn.

The temperature around began to rise, but I see Achilles holding Hélios's left hand, and his aura decreased. Which relieves me, as the bond between them still exists, this means that the bond with Sophia was not completely corrupted.

Azrik opens the laptop and inserts the pen drive, and very slightly I see a greenish energy around, something imperceptible to all others who are not involved in the curse.

Achilles kept holding Hélios's wrist, to prevent him from exploding, while I just wait to know what the curse will bring us.
