Chapter 113: The Trial 1

Achilles POV

"Achilles, calm down, pacing back and forth won't help." Khalid said.

I rolled my eyes; the meeting is very important, and I simply can't stay still. I know a lot depends on the council accepting our request.

It will be very difficult to prove that we didn't kidnap Sophia, but I'm sure that if we can make the council force Ivar to bring Sophia to the council, then we'll have a chance.

I felt my energy being drained less than two hours ago, which indicates that Sophia is still conscious and her memory hasn't been completely altered.

"We will bring Sophia back." Hélios said determinedly.

"I know..." I whispered and closed my eyes, taking a deep breath.

I heard two knocks on the door and opened my eyes, and soon after Hyperion entered.

"They are ready." Hyperion said.

I looked at Khalid, Hélios, and Alex; everyone here is in favor of going to the last resort, even if it means declaring war against everyone.

The walk down the hallway was quick, and during that time, I used my techniques to calm my heart, as I know anything can be used against us.

As soon as we arrived at the meeting room, I noticed that almost all the chairs were occupied, which means the accusations are quite serious. Normally, only a few elders appear, but this time it's full, with only the extinct races' seats empty.

Ivar and Gáta are on the other side of the room, but Sophia isn't there. Their expressions are solemn, but they can't fool me; I know they are worried.

"I, Azrik Ragnharsen, elder of the Dragons and chief judge of this council, have heard the accusations from the Black Moon pack and accepted the request to attack the Moon Warriors pack." The voice of this being is deep and carries a different weight, something very similar to Hélios's voice.

Azrik Ragnharsen is a man with long red hair tied in a ponytail that shimmers under the light, creating a vivid contrast. His attire is dark, with a high collar adorned with red details. Intricate, stylized dragons adorn the shoulders and chest, and these dragons seem alive, slithering through the fabric as if protecting the wearer.

The shiny material of the clothes, possibly leather or a similar fabric, suggests armor or a ceremonial uniform, standing out with a detailed and ornate design.

"The main accusation is the kidnapping and attempted memory alteration of Naomi Blanchet, a human, by manipulating the Bond of Fate." Azrik said.

"There is a big problem with this accusation." Khalid stepped forward. "Because all of this started with the attack on the Moon Warriors pack during a meeting with the Black Moon pack to try to reach a peace agreement. At that time, Ivar didn't bring the one he claims is his Luna..."

Several murmurs began to echo through the hall, but Azrik made a brief gesture with his hand, and everyone fell silent.

"Continue, vampire." Azrik requested.

"After this attack, where many were injured, they were taken to a human hospital called Gillian's Memorial. Perseus was in critical condition, suffering from silver poisoning in his body. Achilles and Andreas suffered less damage but were also treated at the same hospital." Khalid continued explaining. "I have all the evidence to prove that Sophia Turner was the head nurse there... Her blood type is the same as Perseus's, type O Bombay, which is very rare."

Khalid then pointed to Hyperion.

"If you check the news at the time, Hyperion placed an ad to get people with the same blood type to donate to the hospital, as Perseus needed to undergo detoxification and dialysis."

I always knew Khalid was an excellent ally, but now, seeing him advocate for us, I can understand why Soph was so close to him, as these words are practically what I would hear Soph saying.

"I have all the evidence, both in paper and video and audio, about how Sophia Turner met Achilles, her Fated. Any other version is a fabrication and manipulation of the information." Khalid took a pen drive out of his jacket. "Here are the virtual proofs, but my assistant can also bring the physical ones."

Azrik raised his hand, and then a thin red line appeared and went to the pen drive, took the object, and brought it to the judge.

"The evidence that Alpha Ivar brought us is quite consistent." Azrik said. "We were even informed about such situations, but with some modifications. It is true that the woman in question helped the Moon Warriors pack, but her name was always Naomi Blanchet."

I clenched my fingers tightly to hold back my anger, as I can't believe that even with Khalid informing everything, Azrik is still siding with the Black Moon pack.

"Well... There are many inconsistencies." Khalid agreed. "The main one is: if Sophia Turner was Naomi Blanchet, the Luna of the Black Moon pack... Why would the Alpha allow her to treat and even donate her own blood to save the Alpha of the enemy pack? Not only that... Why would he allow this to happen when it was the Black Moon pack who attacked and almost killed the main leaders of the Moon Warriors pack? I can prove that it was the Black Moon pack who ordered the attack that happened at the restaurant."

I saw Ivar's face lose color, while Gáta looked at him incredulously. She couldn't alter any memory or story if she didn't know the whole truth.

"KHALID!" I heard a more intense and much rougher voice, but of a very old type, and I looked at the owner.

"No!" Khalid looked at that being, the Elder of the vampires, Theron Aurelianos, who was tall and imposing. His presence was capable of silencing even the most audacious. His long, slightly wavy black hair fell to his shoulders like a dark veil, contrasting with his skin as pale as sculpted marble.

His eyes, a deep and penetrating blue. He has a marked jawline, thin lips, and a straight nose.

He was wearing a black suit with impeccable refinement, fitted precisely to his slender but powerful form. On his shoulders, golden details embroidered the fabric with intricate patterns, as if telling forgotten stories. The open collar revealed a glimpse of his clavicle, a subtle provocation, a reminder that, despite his inhuman appearance, there was still a trace of something lost in eternity. Despite a youthful appearance, his voice indicated how old this being is.

"This time they have gone too far, and I will do the same!" Khalid turned to Ivar. "Just as I have proof that it was the Black Moon pack who attacked and killed Luna Amélia and Perseus's girlfriend at the time, Melissa."

The silence that followed was terrifying, as there was a very large aura with a divine touch that I have become accustomed to, but which is now practically in fury, but before Hélios attacked, Khalid stepped in front of him, without fear.

"Hélios! Not now!" Khalid said determinedly.

Maybe because Perseus had attacked Khalid without reason, Hélios listened to him and his aura lowered.

"We have many scores to settle, vampire." Hélios hissed.

Khalid just nodded and then turned to Azrik.

"So, if someone here is lying and manipulating things, it is definitely the Black Moon pack." Khalid affirmed.
