Chapter 167 He loves that girl

Chapter 167 He loves that girl

“We have to kill Aurora because that is the only way to get to Marcel. I have seen how he treats her. He loves that girl. She seems to be the only thing he cares about the most. Killing her will break him completely. He has no parent, so she is everything to him. I know for sure that killing Aurora will break Marcel. He will go crazy, say that he is mentally unstable and have him go to a psychiatric hospital,” Cynthia said to Pascal, whom she was speaking to.

Adrian’s whole body shivered. He clenched his fists so tightly that his veins came out.

He wanted to move so fast towards his mother, take the phone from her hand, scream at the person she was speaking to, then break the phone and also scream at his mother for having such a plan. He had made a mistake by not reporting her after he found out she killed the chairman. He was now an accomplice because he was hiding her crimes.

Even when he wanted to do this, he could not even move from where he was standing because he was extremely shocked.

“I know his uncle will become a problem, but that’s where your part comes in. Find a way and kill his uncle so he will not be a problem. I don’t want Marcel to have someone that will come save him. If his aunt and cousin are a problem, then kill them too.”

“Hmmm, his uncle is not an ordinary man. He has lots of men and is dangerous. He will not be easy to kill, but I can try,” Pascal had said.

“Yes, you have to. I will make plans with the guys to have Aurora killed as soon as possible. Like in three days’ time, in a public place. We will monitor her movements and kill her when she is alone,” Cynthia said.

“You said Adrian knew that you killed the chairman. What if he finds out about this and tries to stop you? He might still care about her,” Pascal said.

Cynthia sighed. “Don’t worry. I’m in a place where he can’t come and listen. He can’t find out and even if he does, he can’t stop me. He is my son. There is no way he will have the heart to report me to the authorities. He knows I’m doing all this for him also.”

Pascal nodded. “Don’t you think it’s about time he knows I’m his father and not Henry? Well, I do not care about him, but he should know at least,” Pascal said.

Cynthia was silent. She looked around to see if there was anyone there. This is a hidden storage, but then she had to be sure.

“Listen, Pascal. You never wanted the pregnancy, so I gave it to the person that wanted it. He is not your son because you did not raise him and you don’t care. I’m never telling him. Henry will forever be his father to him,” Cynthia said seriously.

Pascal was silent. He was angry with what she said.

“Fine. Just make sure I get my share in all this, or else I will make sure he knows you killed his father, Henry.”

Adrian, who was hiding somewhere and listening, let his tears fall. He closed his mouth so he wouldn’t make a sound and tried to hold the phone he was using to record steadily. He touched his chest and squeezed his shirt tightly as if it could reduce the pain he felt. Right now, it felt like a knife was ran through his chest. What he was hearing right now was too much to handle. He could not bear this anymore.

Adrian took slow and quiet steps out of there. Then he closed the door. He left the office and gently closed the door too.

Adrian stood in front of the door. He cleaned his tears. His legs felt so weak. He was shocked to his bones, but he had to put on a good act right now.

Today, he found out how much of a devil his mother was. He found out his father was not Henry, that she had killed him, and was planning to kill Aurora. Today, he found out his mother was his greatest enemy, and he, Adrian Malcolm, would make sure she paid for her crimes, even if she was his mother.

After calming himself down and making sure there were no more tears in his eyes, Adrian gently knocked on the door. He knocked for about two minutes before he heard, “Come in.”

Adrian opened the door and saw his mother sitting in her chair. She was surprised to see him.

“Adrian.” She stood up and approached him. “When did you arrive?” Cynthia asked.

“Twenty minutes ago?”

“Yes, but I had a running stomach problem, so I went to use the restroom.”

He said this so when she ask her secretary, it would match the time he mentioned.

Cynthia nodded but still looked suspicious. She was wondering if he had come in there and heard all she said on the phone, but that was impossible because if he did, he wouldn’t be this calm. He would have been confronting her and screaming at the top of his voice over the things he would have heard.

Cynthia nodded. “Why did you come to see me, Adrian? I thought you vowed never to see me again in your life.”

“Yes, I vowed, and I’m still keeping my vow. But then I went home and heard you have my room keys. I still have things left in there to pack. So hand them over, and I will get out of here immediately, never to set my eyes on you again.”

Cynthia nodded. She brought out the keys from her locker and gave them to him.

“Here you go.”

Adrian collected them “ I will be on my way now.”

“Adrian, hold on.”

He slowly turned, he had endured standing there to speak to her without acting out of character. He turned and looked at her with a fake calm expression.

“I’m telling you the truth. I did not kill the chairman. I was just talking. I had planned to threaten him or have him leave the country, not kill him. Someone else did. I was just pretending that I did,” Cynthia said.

Adrian frowned. “Are you even hearing yourself, huh? Does what you said make any sense, huh?!” He raised his voice a bit.

His tone carried something heavy, and there was hostility in his gaze. But then she understood because of what he heard about the chairman.

Cynthia sighed, “It’s fine if you do not believe me.”

Adrian turned and walked out of there.

Cynthia stared at the closed door. She picked up the office phone and called her secretary.

The secretary came into the office.
