Chapter 166: Kill Aurora
Aurora smiled a little and shook her head. She looked towards Marcel, who had a questioning look on his face.
“Come on, honey. Let’s go inside.”
Juliana took hold of her husband’s hand and took him inside.
“Marcel, let’s go.” Aurora held him.
Marcel refused to move.
“What is wrong?” Aurora asked him.
“You were helping in the kitchen?” he asked.
“Yes. Didn’t you hear my mother? That is true,” Aurora said to him.
“I did, but then anytime you enter the kitchen to help with the cooking, something bad happens to you. You always cut yourself or burn your hand.”
Aurora smiled. “Yes, but I did not cut myself today. I’m improving, Marcel. You should be proud of me.”
Marcel nodded. “I’m proud of you.”
Aurora kissed his cheek. “Come on, let’s go in.”
“Not yet. There is something I want to give to you.”
“What?”
“Close your eyes and open both your palms,” Marcel said to her.
Aurora excitedly closed her eyes and opened her palms, forgetting she had cut her left palm. It was already too late when she remembered.
She opened her eyes and wanted to hide her left palm, but Marcel held it.
“I knew you were not telling the truth,” Marcel said.
Aurora pouted “Did you have to lie that you bought me a present? You tricked me,” Aurora said.
“First of all, I’m not lying about the present. It’s just that it’s not here. It’s in the car.”
“It’s still a lie.” Aurora glared at him.
“You lied to me first. You said you did not cut yourself, so what is this?”
Aurora looked at her palm. “It’s just a little. It will heal.”
Marcel opened his mouth to scold her, but Juliana called from inside.
“What are you both still doing outside?”
Marcel sighed “Be careful next time.”
Aurora nodded. They both held hands and went inside.
After a week, the election for the new chairman commenced, and soon a new chairman and vice president were elected for Malcolm Group.
The media carried the news and also featured Marcel as the majority shareholder and owner of Malcolm Group, and that since he was still in the university, he would not take over as chairman until he was done with university.
Marcel’s achievement at the age of 19 was the talk of the business world and the envy of young people his age. Marcel accepted a few business news interviews and spoke at events and conferences.
While on the side, Marcel and Aurora prepared to resume university in a month’s time.
Today, they decided to finally go check out the penthouse he bought for Aurora after it was finally finished.
The elevator opened, and they stepped out. This was the last floor of the large apartment building. It was situated in one of the most expensive areas close to the university, and the penthouse was on the 40th floor of the apartment complex.
It overlooked the beautiful landscape and city, including the river not far away.
“Marcel, what’s the password?”
“Guess,” Marcel said to her.
Aurora thought of what the password would be. She entered her birthday, but it did not work.
“If you did not use my birthday, then what did you use?” Aurora wondered.
“Guess again,” Marcel said.
She thought it must be something that was unique between both of them. She entered another one, and it opened.
Marcel smiled.
Aurora looked at him. “It’s the date we started dating.”
Marcel nodded.
Aurora smiled. They stepped in and she stood in awe of how large it was.
“Wow, it’s so big!!” Aurora jumped up and down the empty space. It was not yet furnished because she told Marcel she wanted to furnish it herself.
It was bigger than the condo her father got her. The kitchen was large, there were three rooms, a spacious living room, a study room, the balconies were large, and the space was large.
She was starting to think of how to decorate it.
“Marcel, I love it so much, and I love you so much.” She kissed him. She wanted to pull away, but Marcel dragged her close and kissed her more.
After a while, they pulled away and caught their breath.
“I’m glad you love it.” Marcel wrapped his hand around her waist.
“Yes, I do. I’m going to make this place so beautiful.”
“And I’m always going to visit,” Marcel said.
Aurora pinched his cheek. “Of course you would. You can’t do without me.”
Marcel nodded. “Yes, I can’t do without you.”
Aurora blushed and they resumed kissing again.
For the last one week, Adrian had packed out of the Malcolm Estate and had not spoken to his mother. His mother had also not spoken to him.
He came to the estate to pick the remaining things he had. He didn’t plan on coming back here. He couldn’t bear to stay in the presence of a murderer. He couldn’t bring himself to report her, but then he couldn’t stay here with her.
“Welcome, Young Master,” the head maid greeted.
He was about to head up when the maid spoke.
“Young Master, are you going to your room?”
Adrian turned and looked at her.
“Yes. Is there a problem?”
“Well, the thing is, your mother has the keys and said you should come take them from her if you want to access the things in the room.”
Adrian frowned “Get me the spare key.”
“She still has it,” the maid said.
Adrian got down the stairs. “Where is she?”
“She left the house for her art gallery.”
Adrian stormed out, got into his car, and drove to his mother’s art gallery. It took over 30 minutes to get there.
He got there, and the secretary tried to stop him, but he did not listen to her and just kept walking until he got to the front of her office door.
Adrian stopped and was starting to regret coming here because he vowed never to see her again. He should have just broken the door instead of coming here, he thought to himself, but he was already here now.
He opened the door and walked inside. He was surprised not to find his mother there, but the secretary had said just now that she was inside and didn’t want to be disturbed, so where was she?
Adrian walked further inside the office. The office was very large, and if he could recall, there was another room inside that contained paintings that were very expensive.
He walked to the door he saw, opened it, and stepped inside.
He heard his mother’s voice coming from inside. Adrian walked further into the room and froze when he heard what she said to the person she was on the phone with.
“We have to kill Aurora.”
