CHAPTER 3
I checked the time, and it is just 4:30 in the morning. The extreme feeling of hunger won’t even let me sleep again and I just realized I haven’t been eating well for the past few days. I can also see the small box Kiki gave to me then I extended my hand to pick it up and lying inside it was a very beautiful silver tiny necklace with a letter pendant carved with the name Norah.
I stood up and went straight to my bathroom and do the necessary body wash. I allowed my hair to air-dry as the thought of how I haven’t been serious with school this new session flashed through me. I left the bathroom to my closet and decided to wear my blue jean and a pink crop top with the necklace Kiki got me then finish it up with my blue ankle boot.
After dressing up, I went to my mirror to apply a little make-up and then I realize I have a little cut on my neck which made me remember how I got beaten up yesterday by Morris and Ashley. I quickly conceal the cut and applied a little red lipstick and mascara. I checked the time again and it is already 5:45 am. I went downstairs to the kitchen and decided to make a fast burger with tea.
After I am done cooking, I took my burger and tea to the sitting room then turn on Netflix.
After an hour, I heard a knock on my door, and I stood up to open the door for Kiki.
“Hi, beautiful” Kiki greeted as she made her way inside.
“Morning girl” I responded closing the door behind me and following her up.
“You got up early today,” she stated, stopping halfway and gasped, “the necklace looks so nice on you” she concluded.
“Yes, I know, I really love it” I replied, and I can see her face turning red.
We continue to watch the movie in comfortable silence.
“So, Morris and Ashley beat me up yesterday,” I said breaking the silence “What do you think about you taking revenge” Kiki replied looking at me.
“I can’t remember doing anything to them, so why the bitterness?” I said in form of a question.
“You know Morris can never stop trying to get on your nerves since elementary” Kiki explained.
“But we are in high school now and senior school for crying out loud” I stated.
“She always likes to attack you or bully you but being the gentle silent girl you used to be, always getting help from Kyle to take your revenge” she explained further.
“you are right but right now I will be showing her” I replied with more seriousness, and everything went back to silence Kiki checked the time, and it was already 8:30, so I ran upstairs to take my phone, and then we left for school in my Dad’s latest SUV.

We stepped out of the car to see Bran, Fed, Mathis, and one other unknown guy standing beside a jeep that I can’t guess the name yet.
“princess and Kiki” Fed called weaving at us and gesturing to us to come to them I looked at Kiki who nodded then smile while we made our way to where Fed and his friends are. We all greeted, and they introduced the unknown guy to us as Kia.
I looked up at Bran wearing a grey turtleneck top and blue jean, his pale Blue eye complimenting his hair which is like a mixture of blonde and black, making him look extremely unique with his abs, I never imagine he was this handsome and he is obviously the most handsome of his friends.
I looked back at Kia who look so cold with very beautiful black eyes, black hair, and brown skin which shows he must be African-American; he is as tall as his other friends and not looking bad at all.
“Norah how do you want to take your revenge” Bran asked bringing me back from my trance “I don’t even know yet” I replied looking so embarrassed We all moved towards the hallway and from our discussion, I realize Kia is having Nutrition class with me and then Bran is in my second class while Kiki, Kia, and the twins are together and the six of us are having the last three classes together and now I guess nutrition class won’t be too lonely again “Norah, you must not see this” Kiki said jumping in front of me and blocking my view
The guys looked beyond and grasped and immediately Bran’s face turned sad while others looked back at me with sympathy “what is happening” I asked looking as confused as I can “you won’t like to know” Fed replied grabbing my hand and turning me away
The thought of how I haven’t been serious since I got back to school quickly played inside my head, I remove my hand from Fed’s grip and turned back What I am seeing really broke my heart and I felt something like water piling up in my eye but under no circumstance will I let it drop.
It is a big picture of me getting beat up by Morris hanged on the door of my locker and everyone piled up there laughing.
Bran walked out immediately while Mathis rubbed my shoulder and followed him, Kia looked at me for few seconds and followed his friends too while Fed moved toward the picture and tore it, sending everyone standing there away and then walked back towards me and outside too while Kiki gave me a very tight hug.
“everything will be fine Norah” she muttered while I nodded.

I was so uncomfortable throughout the classes and receiving weird looks from everyone
I just got out of my final class with Kiki by my side but none of the guys were in the classes and we haven’t seen them since they left in the morning. We got to the hallway to see hundreds of students piled up in front of something.
“the guys” … Kiki exclaimed point at the front while I looked in the direction where she pointed as I can see Bran and his group standing.
“let’s go see for ourselves,” Kiki said dragging me closer to the crowd of people who are now looking at me with pity.
I got to the front to see the biggest shock of my life; it was Morris. Morris was half-naked, and she was plastered up against the wall with bruises all over her body which showed someone has severely dealt with her, her hair was messy, and her eye was bloodshot and over her head was written BAD BITCH. I looked at Kiki beside me and she also carried the same surprise look on her face, I turned to my left and I can see the guys smiling aside Kia who is looking as cold as ever.
I moved a bit away from the spot and I can feel the flow of happiness down my spine, I still felt sorry for Morris, but I don’t want to think it was the guys doing. I was still standing there with the flashes from phone cameras flying around and then I looked up to see the guys coming towards me, I smiled at them and within a jiffy I immediately I felt a slap across my face, and I looked up to see Ashley standing in front of me, immediately my adrenaline level rise and I can feel anger raging all over my body.
I stepped back, balancing my weight on the right foot, and threw my left fist out in a curved punch at her face. The punch hit her right in the face before she could counter the blow. She attacked with a big right overhand punch, but I dodged it and I stepped to angle ninety degrees then hit her leg with my right leg which made her fall straight on the floor, I jumped over her and started landing solid punches all over her body over and over again. I finally landed a heavy slap on her cheek which made her stop struggling under my grip and she became unconscious, I raised my hand to give her another rib-breaking punch and at the same time, I felt something holding my hand stopping my punch from landing.
I looked up to see Bran and a lot of other students piled around us making a circle and putting us in the middle “enough Norah” he rumbled and carried me up leaving Ashley unconscious
The other guys followed us as well as Kiki to the parking lot while Bran sat me on his car bonnet.
“woo, I can’t ever imagine you can be as deadly as this” Fed commented pulling my cheek
“huh, that hurts” I mumbled, trying to hide my face “do you want to go to the hospital?” Bran asked looking as troubled as ever “No no,” I replied “I can always get it treated for her” Kiki assured Bran
“I am very proud of you Norah,” Mathis said pulling me into a big hug and I can notice a quick change in Bran’s face to cold.
Fed also pull me into a big hug and pecked my forehead, I smiled and looked at Kia who haven’t said anything since morning “Kia?” I called in form of a question and he looked straight into my eye “Norah, you are my person,” he said and continue “I was awe by the way you beat up Ashley and I must say you did the finishing to our work”
“your work?” … Kiki and I said in sync and grasped looking at the guys to explain “Bran came up with the idea of getting revenge for you” Mathis explained and smirked in a very evil way. I looked at Bran who looked away from me not wanting to meet eye “We paid some girls to beat up Morris and plastered her to the wall” Fed concluded with pride showing on his face.
I looked at Kiki not knowing what to say “I really love that guys,” Kiki said jumping as she gave Bran a very big hug as well as the guys “I am indebted to you guys; you shouldn’t have gone so far for me,” I said looking down
“We got you always Princess” Fed replied giving me another hug.
I felt so relieved and peaceful. I think I have just earned myself new sets of friends and it feels so good. I remember Kyle but I quickly push the thought away because I can’t afford to start missing him. I was suddenly brought into a tight hug by Bran “I am sorry you have to go through all that Norah,” he said looking as beautiful as ever and I felt so comforted in his arms while others joined us and made it a big hug.
