I smile and Dad smiles at me. "I know she is. She has always been very brave and courageous. I know she would do anything to protect the people she loves." My dad says.

"Thank you Dad and thank you Malakai." I say, looking between the two of them. I turn to my dad and smile. "I'm so happy you are okay with me and Malakai being together. I was so scared you would hate him, or me when you found out."

Dad smiles. "Of course not honey. I love you more than anything in the entire world you know that. Nothing you ever did or said could make me hate you, and I am so proud of you. For everything. You are going to be an amazing Alpha to this pack. I'm glad you have Malakai standing by your side to help you."

I smile and walk over to him, giving him a big hug. "I love you Dad." I whisper, kissing his cheek.

"I love you too Leilani. Here is the letter back, I'm sure you want to keep it in a safe place." He says, pulling back from the hug.

I nod my head. "Yeah, it makes me think of mom. I like having it close to me."

Dad smiles. "Your mother would be so proud of you."

"Thank you Dad." I say, as my eyes start to water. I take a deep breath, trying to stop the tears before they start. "I'm going to go put this up and I will be right back."

Dad and Malakai both smile at me. "Okay baby, we will be here waiting for you." Malakai says.

I walk over and give him a peck on the lips, smiling before walking out of the room. This went way better than I thought. I guess I was scared for no reason.

\-Malakai's POV-

I watch as Leilani walks out of the room, beaming with happiness. It makes me so happy to see her happy. I knew everything would work out. She was worried for no reason.

I turn to Tiberius and smile. "Thank you for being so understanding Tiberius. I knew you would be shocked at first, but I told Leilani everything would work out."

Tiberius glares at me, looking like he is trying to murder me with his eyes. Nothing even remotely close to the happy, sweet look he was just giving Leilani.

"You disgusting little piece of shit. How dare you touch my daughter!" He growls through our mind link.

Of course he didn't want Leilani to hear this. That would make him look bad. "Excuse me?" I growl, feeling the anger inside me building rapidly.

"You heard me. You are disgusting. If it were up to me, I would rip you into a million fucking pieces and leave you somewhere in the woods to rot." Tiberius growls again.

"So, this is how it's going to be?" I ask, growling back at him. "You're just going to play nice in front of Leilani, but secretly hate me?"

"You're damn right this is how it's going to be. You are twice her fucking age, you are a disgusting pervert. You have no right to be with my daughter. You should have rejected her!" Tiberius snaps.

"REJECTED HER? I am her mate." I yell. "Are you fucking crazy? You know what being rejected by a fated mate does to someone. You would rather her go through the pain and heart breaking of being rejected by her mate, than have her be with me. The person that has loved her, her whole life, the person that would die for her, someone that you know and trust."

"I used to trust you. I let you be apart of her life, of our family and you do this. How long have you been thinking about her in this way? How many times have you wished you could be with my daughter? I will never trust you again. You should have rejected her and gave her the chance to find her second chance mate. Something that will never happen now that you have marked her." He growls, standing up out of the chair.

"You know as well as I do, some people never find their second chance mate. Some people aren't even lucky enough to find their fated mate. You want Leilani to go through that pain and loneliness, just to keep her away from me?" I ask, shaking my head in disbelief.

This is not the Tiberius I know. the one that would do anything for his family and pack. The one that at one point in time would have done anything for me.

"Yes!" He growls, taking a step towards me. He is looking at me, like he wants to punch me again and this time I won't hold myself back.

I didn't fight back earlier because I knew he was shocked, and he is sick. I didn't want to risk hurting him. Now that I know how he really feels about me and Leilani I will not allow myself to be attacked. I will fight back, whether Leilani gets upset or not.

I scoff. "You are not the person I thought you were then Tiberius."

He narrows his eyes at me and takes another step towards me. I prepare myself for whatever punch he might throw or anything else. Right as he takes one more step towards me Leilani comes back in the kitchen, smiling as if the whole world is made of butterflies and sunshine.

"What's going on?" She asks, sounding concerned. Her smile falls a little, as she looks between the two of us.

Tiberius turns to her, smiling. "Nothing sweetheart. I was just congratulating Malakai on finally finding his mate. I am very happy for the two of you."

"Thank you!" I say, smirking a little. "We are very happy. I am going to spend the rest of my life making sure Leilani is happy and cared for."

Leilani smiles at me. "I am already very happy, thanks to you."

Tiberius growls at me through our link and I wrap my arm around Leilani, giving her a kiss on the top of the head. "Me too baby."

Tiberius looks at Leilani. "Honey, I hate to leave so soon, but I have to get back to the hospital."
