Chapter 150: Chapter One Hundred and Fifty - On My Way Back To Her
Wyatt
I am finally on my way back to Alyssa. A day later than planned, which made her mad all over again, she isn’t expecting me until late tomorrow night. I didn’t want to wait any longer. I left home at two in the morning. I doubled the piolet’s payment for doing so. It will be late afternoon when I arrive in Switzerland, rather than ten at night. We only have two days left before going to Iceland.
I haven’t informed Alyssa I am on my way. I wanted it to be a surprise—hopefully, a nice one. The issue at work is mainly fixed, but I didn’t want to be away any longer. My father and brother are going to deal with it. I got a lecture from them and my mother for coming back. They were all right. I am the idiot for leaving.
I climb into the bed. I am going to try to sleep for the flight. It is late, and I am tired since I haven’t slept much recently. With any luck, it will make the flight quicker. I check my cell to see if Alyssa has been in touch. She hasn’t. I am not surprised. I haven’t had much contact with her since she hung up on me yesterday when I informed her I would be back until later tomorrow night.
I sigh, setting my cell aside and roll onto my side. I run my hand over the empty side of the bed. I am eager for Alyssa to be filling the space. I have missed her like crazy. I close my eyes and try to clear my mind. I find myself beginning to drift off. If I sleep on the flight, then I can get on the same time zone. I hate jetlag! Alyssa comes to mind as I relax and continue to drift off.
Next thing I know, my name is being said.
“Sir, we are about to land.” Delilah, one of the hostesses, says.
“Already?” I ask, and she nods.
I didn’t expect to sleep the entire flight. I gather myself before I take a swat and put my seatbelt on, preparing to land. A car is picking me up to take me to the hotel.
I rush off. The second we land, I head straight for the waiting car. I am not sure if Alyssa will be in or away out. I hate I have missed the time with her here. The car ride feels like a lot longer than the last time. I am getting impatient. Why is it when you are eager to get somewhere, it always seems longer?
A forty-five-minute drive seems like two hours. I thank the driver and hurry inside. I still have the key card on me. I took it with me. I enter the room, searching for her, but she is nowhere in sight. She must be out. Damn it! I could call her, but it would ruin the surprise. I sigh and use the tracker app on my cell to see where she is. She seems to be not too far from the hotel. Hopefully, she will be back soon. I place my bag in the room and grab a quick shower.
Maybe I should head out and find her. On the other hand, if she wants to get into it, it is something I would rather not happen in public. I will need to be patient, easier said than done. I am not the most patient man in the world.
I could try a romantic gesture, but I don’t believe it would work this time. Alyssa has been mad at me before, but this is different. I think it may be worse since she is more disappointed than angry at me. That always feels worse.
I need a damn drink. I am stressed. With everything that happened at work and the situation with Alyssa. I call down for a bottle of scotch. I will only have one for now. I don’t want to be under the influence too much when I finally get to talk with Alyssa. I want us to fix things before we fly out to Iceland. I don’t want any tension between us for the rest of our trip. We have a lot planned. Most of what Alyssa knows, a few she doesn’t.
My bottle arrives quickly. I pour one and take a seat to enjoy it. I only manage a few sips before the room door opens. I set it down and jump to my feet to greet her.
She is oblivious to my presence at first.
“Hey, angel.”
She lets out a squeal and jumps, “Why would you scare me like that?”
“Sorry, I didn’t mean to,” I reply softly.
“I thought you wouldn’t be back until later?”
I couldn’t determine if she was happy to see me. I stroll over to stand in front of her, “I wanted to return sooner. I missed you and didn’t want to be away from you any longer.”
“You should have met me in Iceland. We don’t have much time left here.” She says.
I am disappointed with her reaction. I hoped she would tell me she missed me too.
“I didn’t want to wait any longer. Are you still mad at me? I assume so since you haven’t hugged me or told me you missed me too.” I say sadly.
“Yes.” She answers simply.
“Alyssa, I have apologised a million times. What else do you want from me?” I ask, trying not to get too frustrated.
“If you stayed, then there wouldn’t have been an issue in the first place.” She snaps and turns to walk away.
I groan in frustration, “Enough! I am tired of this. I understand you are mad and disappointed. I fucked up, but you are acting like I did something terrible. I left for a few days and came back. You have the right to feel your emotions, but you have punished me enough, Alyssa. Now, you are just being stubborn.” I hiss.
I have lost my patience. She has let this go on too long. I could have done a hundred things worse. Alyssa quickly swings around to face me, a pissed off look on her face.
“You left me! You broke your promise. I will feel what I want for as long as I want.” She hisses back.
I am done fighting over this bullshit! I come up with a better plan. I step into her and smirk.
“Don’t fucking smirk at me, Wyatt.” She snaps.
“Or what?” I challenge closing the space between our bodies.
She swallows hard, trying to keep it together.
“I don’t know you are trying, but it isn’t going to work.”
Her words are firm. She crosses her arms over her chest, and her face is red with anger.
I rest my hand on her hip and hold her tightly against me. I rest my lips at her ear, “You are sexy when you are all mad at me.” I rasp.
Alyssa whimpers and shudders. I smirk and pull my lips away.
“What is wrong with you? Are you turned on right now?”
She tries to stay annoyed and firm, but her tone gives her away. Her words are strained.
“Yes. I like your feisty side. It turns me on so badly.” I reply, my hand moving to the small of her back and down to her ass.
She gasps under my touch.
“You are impossible and annoying. Your seductiveness isn’t going to work.” She protests.
“Are you sure about that?” I ask smugly.
She is already breaking! She tosses her hands in the air and pulls away.
“Positive.” She exclaims and goes to walk away.
I don’t allow her to get far. I grab her from behind, bringing her back to me. I slip both my arms around her. Alyssa glares at me and begins to ramble. I have had enough. I grasp the back of her neck and crash my lips to hers roughly. She doesn’t kiss back, not straightaway. I kiss her harder, and she melts against my lips.
She snakes her arms around my neck and kisses back. I groan against her lips and push her back to the closest wall. I pin her hands against the wall above her head. The kisses turn heated and passionate. I grind my hips to hers. She cries out, her nails digging into my hands.
Words and arguments don’t seem to be solving anything. Why not try the next best thing? Hot sex. She can take her frustrations out with that. I am not saying it will solve everything, but it can solve it for right now. It gives us something else to focus on.
