Sack me

Eve POV

I can't believe Jayden made me stay two more hours in the office, how can someone be wicked more than this? He's trying to make me sad, but I won't give him the impression, I'm going to make him pay for everything, and when I'm done with him, he'll regret ever crossing path with me, that bastard.

After staying at the office for what seem like forever, I finally wrapped all the work up, before leaving to go home. Heading to the door, I twisted the doorknob, and opened it, before stepping out of the office, and walked over to the elevator, before getting in, as I waited patiently for it to start. I'm so damn tired, I can't wait to get home, and get some rest.

Stepping out of the elevator at the last floor, I headed to the exit door, and left the building, before heading to the garage, where my car was parked. It's already very late, so I didn't waste any time, as I hopped in, and drove out of the compound, and in the next few seconds, I was on the road, driving home.

After driving for what seemed like forever, I finally got home, and parked neatly at the parking lot, before alighting, after which I headed to the entrance door, before walking in. Stepping into the living room, I threw myself tiredly on the couch, as I heaved a sigh of relief.

Jayden

It's been days since Eve have been working as my secretary, and all these few days, I am sure I frustrate her. I don't know why, but for some unknown reasons, I just don't like her, you don't blame me, do you? Though I kinda felt something the first time I saw her, but after what she did, I started hating her, and I won't stop, not until I make her beg me for forgiveness.

Letting out a sigh, I leaned in on my desk, and started doing some works on my desktop. After what seemed like forever of working, I picked the office telephone, and put a call through to my annoying secretary, and in the next seconds, the door opened, and she walked in, maintaining a straight face as usual.

"Get me the files for last week's transactions, my this week schedule, and the number of the appointments I'm having, fast." I said, not taking my eyes off the computer to look at her, and without saying a word, she turned around, and walked away.

Since it's Wednesday today, I really need to hurry up with some things, and get some documents signed, before Friday. I'll be having an appointment with some clients by tomorrow, I'm feeling reluctant, but I think taking Eve with me, won't hurt, right?

The door opened after what seemed like forever, followed by footsteps, and raising my head, I was welcomed with the deep frown on her face, and I couldn't just stop the wave of excitement, that rushed through me. I love this.

Walking over to my desk, she dropped a file on my desk, before turning around to leave, but halted abruptly, as I spoke up.

"Get ready Eve, we're going together to a business meeting by tomorrow, 9pm on the dot." I said, as I fixed my gaze on the screen of the computer.

I heard her scoffed, before turning around to face me.

"Are you by chance talking to me?" Her voice came on.

Raising my head to look at her, I scoffed unbelievably, while having a smirk on my lips. This is crazy, I mean, we're the only ones here, how come she's asking me such dumb question, huh?

"Don't ask me stupid question Eve, if you got nothing to say, you can use the door, as you can see, I'm busy now." I said dismissively, as I fixed my gaze on the computer again, while moving fingers speedily on the keyboard.

"Are you being serious right now, huh? The last time I checked, my work here ends once it's 5pm, so I don't think I understand you. Is that some joke or something? You aren't expecting me to leave my house, and go out with you in the night, which I should be at home, resting, for some fucking appointment, huh?" She scoffed, sounding angry.

"I've had enough of this Jayden, I've had enough of all these bullshit! Why not just sack me, and let me go? Is this how much you really want to frustrate me? For heaven sake, I've been trying as much as to tolerate you, but the more I try to, the more you keep pushing me to the wall, what's the meaning of this?" She said angrily, while I stared at her, with my back, resting on the chair. This is exactly what I want, seeing her frustrated, it gives me so much joy, and I won't stop frustrating her the more.

"Do you realize that I'm your boss?" I asked sarcastically.

"Screw you Jayden! You're not my damn boss, your dad is, so don't think you can boss me around." She snapped.

"Oh wow, but come to think of it, whose order have you been taking? Is it my dad's, or mine?" I smirked at her.

"You know what Jayden? You're out of your mind, you're fucking losing it, and I'm not in for that shit, accept it or not, I'm going nowhere with you for some appointment shit, if you can't go alone, or find someone else to go there with you, then that's your problem, so deal with it." She snapped again, while glaring hard at me. Well, I know she's just trying to piss me off, so I will sack her, but that's a dream that'll never come true for her, I will never think of it, let alone doing it.

"Eve, don't you think....." The sound of my ringing phone distracted me, and taking a glance at it, I quickly reached out to it, seeing the caller to be one of my clients.

Swiping the answer button, I held the phone to my.

"Hello mr Anderson." I said sarcastically.

"Hello mr Jayden. Sorry for the late reply, but can you schedule a meeting for us in an hour? I'm leaving the country in three hours, so I would like to meet with you in the next one hour, so we can seal the business." His voice came on.

"I won't be able to come over, but not to worry, I'm sending someone to you." I said.

"Alright I'll be expecting you, will send you the address after I drop this call." He said, before disconnecting the call.

Dropping my phone, I raised my head to look at Eve, who was glaring hard at me.

"Get ready, you're going to attend a meeting on my behalf, it's going to be in an hour." I said sarcastically...
