Chapter 31

Rosalina's Point of View

I woke up with an excruciating headache. The memory of what happened the night before quickly came to me. Kelly and I went to a party and a girl named Nicole threw me into the pool. Her brother Jason saved me, and then Kane came and took Kelly and me home. The last thing I remembered was Kane lecturing Kelly about taking me to the party. I frown because I didn't like that he was upset with her because of me. I was going to speak to Kane and let him know that he had no right being upset with Kelly. She wasn't to blame for what happened.

I looked at the clock on the nightstand and jumped up when I saw it was already eight thirty in the morning. I was already late for school. It was then that I realized I wasn't in my room. I was in the one I stayed in with Kane. "He must have brought me here last night while I was sleeping," I thought

"You are awake." I looked up to see Kane standing by the door with a tray of food in his hands.

I sat up on the bed and groaned in pain when my headache got worse.

"Hey, are you okay?" Kane asked as he rushed over to my side. He set the tray on the nightstand and sat beside me in the bed.

"I am fine. I just got a terrible headache," I said

"Oh, yeah. I had a feeling you would have a headache when you woke up, so I brought you these pills to take. They are just pain meds," Kane said

"Thank you," I replied as I took the two pills from his hand. I put them in my mouth, and Kane handed me a glass of orange juice. I quickly drank some of the juice and swallowed the pills, hoping they would help my headache. After I took the pills, I was getting up from bed, and Kane stopped me.

"What are you doing?" Kane asked

"I have to get ready for school," I said, and Kane looked at me with a frown on his face

"You have a hangover. You need to stay home," Kane said

"No, I can't miss school. I don't want to get behind," I replied

"I already called the school and let them know you won't be there today."

"What? No. I have to go to school. I can't mess up my school record," I replied. I was getting worried. I had worked hard to ensure I did well in school so that I could attend college and do well.

"Rose, Calm down. You are not going to mess up your school record by missing one day of school. You need to rest. Trust me," Kane said and he put his hand on mine, causing those pleasurable sparks to go through my body. It was scary how calm I became by his touch.

"Okay, I will stay home," I said, and Kane smiled at me

"Good. I also brought you breakfast. You need to eat. It will help with your hangover," Kane said

"How is your head feeling?" Kane asked after we finished breakfast.

"It doesn't hurt that bad anymore," I replied

"I am happy to hear that. I was wondering if you would like to spend the day with me?" Kane asked

"Sure," I replied without hesitation. I loved the idea of spending the day with him. Plus, there was something I wanted to ask him.

"Okay, well, I will go to the guest room and get ready. Kelly brought you some clothes earlier for you to put on. I will get them for you so that you can get ready," Kane said

"Okay," I replied, and Kane went into the walk-in closet. A moment later, he came back with a bag of clothes and placed them on the bed. After Kane left the room I took the bag of clothes to the bathroom so that I could shower. While I was showering, I thought of Kane and everything that has been happening since meeting him. I was nervous about speaking to him about what I thought was going on. I knew it seemed crazy, but I was sure I was right. I wondered how Kane would react once I asked him the questions that had been on my mind for a while. Would he answer honestly or try to lie? Could I be wrong? If I were he would think I was crazy and probably not want anything else to do with me.

No matter what happened, I had made up my mind. I was going to ask him.

"You look nice, Flower," Kane said as I met him in the living room. I was wearing the green sundress that Kelly had chosen. My hair was hanging loose.

"Thanks. You look nice too," I replied. He was wearing a pair of blue jean shorts and a blue t shirt. Even though the outfit was plain, he still looked sexier than any man I had ever met. Kane and I left the room. We went to a garage that I had never been in before and I was shocked at how many cars were in there. I wasn't a car person, but I didn't have to be to know they had to have been expensive.

"These are all yours?" I asked

"These ones, on this side or mine. Those are Kelly's and those over there are my dad's," Kane said. He walked over to one of the BMWs and opened the passenger side door for me. I thanked him as I got inside. He closed the door and then walked to the driver's side. He shocked me when he started leaning toward me like he was going to kiss me or something. Then, he took the seatbelt and buckled me in.

"All buckled up," Kane said and I smiled at him. He started the engine and began to drive.
