Chapter 120: Teach Me
Luca watched my face carefully, as if measuring my reaction. Or thinking about something significant.
“What’s that?” I asked, meeting their gazes.
“Even with guards and security around you, you still need to obtain self-defense skills… betrayal can happen from the closest people,” Marco said, then paused, glancing down at my belly. “And according to your current state, you can’t learn any physical self-defense skills. So… learning how to shoot is the most important skill for you right now.”
I raised a brow. “I think…” I aimed the gun toward the shooting board, “…someone already knows whether I can hold a gun or not.”
Then I shot.
It hit the fourth line of the board.
“Not too bad,” Luca teased.
I rolled my eyes.
Ricardo leaned against the wall and smirked. “See? I told you. She was born for this world.”
“Ha ha. Not funny,” I snapped instantly.
Marco laughed under his breath. “Normal women don’t hold guns like that, principessa.”
I hated that they were right. In every aspect, they were right.
I needed to learn how to shoot. And… the ugly truth was that the weight of the pistol felt very natural in my hand.
Luca stepped behind me slowly.
My breath caught when his chest almost brushed against my back.
“You can’t hit your target because your stance is wrong,” he murmured near my ear.
Before I could move away, his hand wrapped around my wrist and lifted the gun slightly higher.
“Relax your shoulder.” His voice dropped lower. “Feel the balance before you pull the trigger.”
Heat spread through my body against my will.
God.
Even when this man was teaching me how to shoot, it sounded filthy.
I tried to pull away from him. “You’re distracting me on purpose,” I muttered.
A quiet chuckle escaped him.
Bastard.
“That’s because watching you lose control is becoming my favorite hobby,” he whispered, his voice too low for anyone else to hear.
My fingers tightened around the pistol. I hated this. Hated how my body reacted to him. Hated how natural it felt standing between his arms again.
And most of all… I hated that a part of me missed it.
“I liked the thong on you. I cannot stop imagining you right now,” he whispered. “I wish I could take it off with my teeth, and then… with my tongue, I’ll—”
“Stop!” I snapped, my cheeks burning.
He was doing this on purpose.
Ricardo pushed him aside. I believed he didn’t hear anything, but they must have guessed the kind of dirty words their brother was whispering to me.
“Leave the girl alone,” Ricardo said. “If you can’t control yourself, let Marco teach her.”
Luca raised his hand and took two steps back, a smug smile on his face.
He just walked away? Confirming what Ricardo just said?
Marco took a few steps forward, but he stopped when I turned to Ricardo and said, “You can teach me.”
I noticed the painful expression on Marco’s face, but I simply turned my back to him.
Ricardo caught the pistol from my hand with ease, spinning it once around his finger before handing it back to me properly.
“First rule,” he said casually, walking toward the shooting line. “Never hold a gun while emotional.”
Luca let out a low chuckle from the couch behind us.
I ignored him.
What was wrong with him?
Ricardo stopped beside me and pointed toward the board. “Your grip is good. Better than most men I trained.” He tilted his head slightly. “But you’re shooting with anger.”
I thought for a second. “I am angry,” I muttered.
“No.” Ricardo shook his head. “Anger makes people reckless. You shoot with focus.”
I swallowed quietly and looked back at the target.
“Move your feet apart a little,” he instructed.
I obeyed.
“Good. Now straighten your wrist.” He lightly adjusted my arm before stepping away immediately, unlike Luca, who always seemed to enjoy invading my space. “Don’t fight the gun. Control it.”
I tightened my grip.
Across the room, Luca sat lazily on the couch, one arm stretched across the backrest while his dark eyes stayed fixed on me.
Just watching.
Just as he always watched me.
And God… I hated the way my body still remembered his touch from earlier.
The warm water.
His whisper near my ear.
The way his fingers almost touched my skin without actually doing it.
My breath became uneven again.
Ricardo noticed instantly. “Concentrate, Mila.”
I blinked quickly and lifted the pistol again.
“Breathe first,” he said more gently this time. “Then shoot.”
I inhaled slowly and pulled the trigger.
BANG…
This time the bullet landed closer to the center.
A proud grin spread across Ricardo’s face. “There she is.”
He punched the air. “I knew it. I’m a good teacher,” he praised himself. “If I wasn’t in the mafia, I would’ve been a teacher for girls.”
I tried not to laugh.
Marco’s absence suddenly felt strange. Usually, he never left whenever Luca and Ricardo were around me. But after the look I gave him earlier… he simply walked out.
Guilt twisted slightly inside my chest.
But I ignored the feeling.
For years. For years he had hidden the truth.
“Again,” Ricardo said.
I lifted the gun once more. But before I could shoot, my eyes betrayed me and drifted toward Luca.
He was already staring at me.
Not at the gun.
Not at the target.
At me.
The room suddenly felt warmer. His gaze slowly traveled over my body before returning to my eyes again, and instantly, those filthy whispers from earlier replayed inside my head.
I liked the thong on you.
Heat rushed into my cheeks.
Damn him.
A smirk slowly curved Luca’s lips the moment he noticed my expression. He knew exactly what I was remembering.
“Shoot, principessa,” Ricardo said, completely unaware of the silent war happening across the room.
I quickly turned back toward the target and fired again.
BANG…
This time I completely missed the center.
Luca’s low laugh echoed behind me.
“You need to focus more on your target, Kitten,” Luca said lazily. “Distraction kills. Especially sweet distractions.”
I brushed my hair to the side. “You are flattering yourself.”
Then…
Oh God. I needed to control my tongue.
His lips twisted. “Why? Am I distracting you here?”
