Chapter 8
TRISTAN.
My lips are on hers, hers on mine and my insides are on fire. What the hell just happened.
“You kissed her that's what happened.”
She pulls away from me and spins in the other direction. I do the same.
“You dog.”
My wolf laughed.
“What the hell, man? You kissed my girl.”
“ She is my mate as well, you know.”
“The last time I checked, you were going to reject her.”
“Well I didn't reject her, I accepted her, so she is my mate too.”
“No, you're lying, you piece of..”
Her lips cover his and I almost lost it.
“Now I kissed you both. Can you just be quiet before the entire pack comes outside?”
She asked.
“My lips are seal my love.”
Travis said.
“What are you doing out here late at night anyway?”
Travis asked.
“She was walking home.:
“You were walking home, alone after what happened the other night.:
“Same thing I said, but she didn't want to hear it.”
“Come on, I'll give you a ride home.”
“Ohh, I already offered and she rejected.”
“I would have to if it were me, you're stone like.”
“Would you just shut up.”
“No, yiu shut up.”
“Would the both of you shut up, I'm sorry. How about this I'm nit far from home why don't the both of you walk me to my door. “
We talked together.
The walk was silent, no one spoke I don't even think any one was breathing. It was so silent you could hear crickets chirping.
“So have you heard your wolf speak yet?”
Travis asked.
“Yeah, once at the Ball, she told me you guys were my mate.”
“so that means you should have your first shift soon.”
I asked.
“Correct.”
Silence once more.
“Is that normal for my wolf to be delayed for so long?”
“Some wolves don't come to the surface until their other half is of age and some two years later. In your circumstances, there could be many factors at play.”
“Yeah like what.”
“It could be that she is scared. A spell was cast to stop it from happening and many more. Or you could just be a really late bloomer.
Now, if that's the case, the pain may be much stronger than when you're younger. The younger you get your wolf, the better your bones mend back easily..”
“OK.”
“What about you guys? What was your first shift like ?”
“Mine was horrible, it happened in front of my mom and my first grade girlfriend, she saw my little…”
Travis laughed.
“Mines was at the pack's first ever football game against dark skies. After I scored the winning goal, I felt my bones snapping.”
“Ohh.. they both sound painful.”
We both looked at each other and said,
“It was.”
We weren't far from her doorstep when Travis got a mind link from our Gamma. He gave Sitara a kiss and took off in the direction of the pack house.
“I wanted to say I'm sorry about the way I behaved. It's been a long time since…”
“It's OK, I'm sorry if I overreacted, this must be difficult for you after….”
“Let's not talk about the past. Listen, I'm willing to give this a try ll. You're my second chance mate, and many of us don't always have that opportunity.”
“Im… I don't want to pressure you into doing anything you don't want to, so if you don't want to accept me, that's fine.”
She says.
“I accept you, Sitara.”
She sighs, I'm not sure why that makes me feel uneasy.
“I accept you Tristan as my mate.”
The nerves in my body disappeared, and the inside of my stomach burst out a million butterflies that wanted to burst up my throat and flood the pack.
Clearly, these feelings aren't mine.
“That's great.”
I gave her a little smile and patted her on the shoulder. A light smile spread across her lips as she looked up at me.
Her black and silver eyes looked into mine, and it's weird I could have sworn I saw her wolf looking at me through her silver eye.
“Well goodnight, and if your dad isn't picking you up tomorrow, call me or Travis , and we will come get you. It's not safe to be walking here alone.”
“ok. I will have a good night, Alpha.”
“Tristan, just call me Tristan..”
“Good night, Tristan.”
After she locked the door from the inside I left and returned home, our parents must be waiting for Mr to update them on what took place.
Travis was already updating them on the situation at hand, about the missing girl and how they tried stealing two from our pack.
“That sounds like an incident a while a back. An Alpha sluttered most of a pack all because he wanted the daughter.”
“A whole pack.”
“The crimshaw pack, the most wealthiest pack amount us all, the Alpha wanted his daughter because of her beauty but more because of the power she held. She had something called a wolf's eye, she could see the fate and future of another.”
“I don't get it, what does this have to do with anything.”
“Because that Alpha kidnapped many she wolves after that, he would kidnap them and in hopes get ransomed and those he never got a ransomed for were never seen again.
We don't know what he does with them or where he puts them all we know is we never see them again. “
“What about tye council did they ever intervene.”
“They tried and when they were close enough to finding him he disappeared, but it looks like he has returned.”
“But that still doesn't explain why he wanted Sitara.”
“Sitara tye smith's adopted daughter.”
My mom rubbed her hands together, she only does that when she is worried.
“Yeah, she is our mate.”
Tye glass she just picked up from the counter slipped from her hands and fell flat to the floor.
“Mom are you ok ?”
“I'm fine, go ahead.”
“The guy he just said he was sent for the girl with the messed up eye.”
“Hmmm… I'm not.. sure he must have thought either her or Tally had some kind of worth.”
Dad said.
“They do, they are our pack memnbers.”
“They do son and he knows it, especially since they are both nurses and is your mate.”
Dad said.
“So your both mated to her?”
Mom asked.
“Yeah, speaking of which dad is that common for two people to be mated to the same person?”
“It's not uncommon or common but it does happen.”

“So did you accept her already?”
Mom asked.
“Yeah we did.”
“I'm sorry boys I'm trying to wrap my head around this, you both accepted her.”
“Yes, we did.”
Mom takes her hand and wipes her face, she looks scared, angry im.nit sure what's going on.
“Your going to have to reject her both of you.”
Both me and my brother stear at her confused.
“Your going to have to reject her, for my sake.”
“Mom, I don't understand…why would you want us to reject our mate.”
“Listen I know you couldn't wait to fins yours and I know yiu didn't ever want one so I don't understand why you would accept her.”
“Because she is our mate.”
Mom paused, she starts biting on her bottom lip. Her eyes worry there is something she isn't telling us.
“Mom what's wrong, you could tell us why should we reject her.”
“Because she is an Orphan, do you know what the others would say if they find out your both mated to a half blind orphan.”
“Wow, wow, mom that's taking it to far.”Travus said.
“I have to agree with him there mom, your being a little bit to much.:
“I don't care what you think I am your mother and your luna reject her.”
“No.”
Travis said before walking out of the kitchen leaving me standing there with mom baffled.
“Reject her.”
Mom left after.
I couldn't sleep last night, after the conversation with mom in the kitchen last night my mind wasn't at ease.
Around this time Travis would usually head out for his early morning run so I decided to join him. We were stretching when dad came down stairs.
“Boys I know you must be angry at your mother for last night, but being seen with that girl wouldn't so you any good.”
“Come on dad nit you too, what has this girl ever done to you both.”
“She will bring shame to our family, a half blind luna who was found on the streets.”
“Dad, please stop talking. Why am I getting the feeling that your hiding something from us.”
“Im not hiding anything from you guys I'm just telling you the truth, this wouldn't be a good look for us.”
“Then don't look, come on Tristan let's go.”
We both left our dad standing there.
