Unsettled

My body is burning, and strong waves of pain continue to paralyse me. Every time I'm ready to fight against it, I hear Kellan in my mind telling me to relax and another voice. One I've never heard before.

It feels like I've been in this hell for hours or even days. Every time the wave of pain stops, I feel hopeful it's ended, but the burning still continues, and soon after, another wave of pain.

My body is exhausted, and the burning slowly disappears.

"Elara?" Kellan's words seep into my mind. "Open your eyes, please." Slowly, I open them.

"How do you feel?" I turn, hearing Maze.

"What happened?" Something did. "I can't remember anything after stepping into that room."

"I was right, you're an alien." Kellan's words have me groaning.

"You're different, and so is your wolf. You never needed me or magic. I will give you some space. Come find me when she's awake properly." I hear the door closing.

"What happened?"

"No one knows. Maze tried using magic, but it didn't seem to work. You didn't need it; you ran at your wolf, and somehow, you merged into it."

He chuckles slightly. "Everyone needed magic to get their wolf back. You didn't. You were standing there, and you were literally dragging the wolves essence into you. So we released you, and yeah. We. Don't. Know."

"Celestial sacred divine." I turn confused.

"What?" Kellan stares at me.

"Oh, that was my wolf?" That's whose voice it was?

I see humour on his face. "No, you're not going crazy. Think back. I'm sure you can remember your wolf can talk to you in your mind."

"She said Celestial scared divine. What is that?" I don't know.

"No idea, Elara."

"Moon Goddess." Okay, this is going to take some getting used to.

"You heard it again?" I nod at him. "For now, you will, but the more you learn to control it, the less it will happen unless you need to communicate."

"Well, she said Moon Goddess?"

He nods. "The Moon Goddess is said to be the creator of werewolves. It's believed she bestows blessings on us, gives curses and punishes werewolves."

Is that what this is? What happened?

"Why are you so far away from me?" I just realised.

"Maze said, because you were angry when you got your wolf back, you might still have been. We just needed to be safe. How do you feel? By that, I mean concentrate and consider this."

"Okay." I sit and wait, trying to see what I feel. My body feels different. I can feel my wolf. Yet, I'm exhausted. My heart quickens, and I try to focus on how I feel.

I look towards Kellan, my wolf growling 'mate' in my mind.

"Don't move." Kellan stands and steps back, and I smirk. "I mean it, you have one hour until your event. If you get lost in emotions and feelings, it's cancelled."

Only one feeling, I step off the bed.

"Elara, no!" Ignoring him, I step closer, my body reaching him. His hands stay down, his eyes fixed on mine. A growl escapes me, my hands pushing him back as I kiss him.

"Ouch. You're stronger than me, remember that?" I smirk against his lips, before going back to kissing him. His hands move down my body. The kiss becomes more forceful, both of us fighting each other for dominance.

Every slight touch feels so much more progressive, so much more intense. His hands lift me before he turns and pushes me against the wall. My body suddenly explodes in pleasure as he bites against my lip.

My hands pull, ripping the shirt from him, as his hand tangles into my hair. My wolf growls at him as I fight to unfasten his trousers.

"Elara." I ignore him and keep going, his hands capturing mine. "Tonight, I swear, but I'm meant to be trying to get you calm for this event." Screw calm, screw the event.

Kissing him, my hands continue to fight to unfasten his trousers. "We don't have time." His words are said quietly against my neck as he bites against it.

My heart thuds louder, and I turn to look at the door. My attention begins to split between Kellan and Darius.

"I said keep her calm, not make her worse." Darius stares at us. My wolf growls 'Mine' towards Darius.

"You think you can do better? Have fun. Swap places?" Kellan laughs.

"No, I'm not even close, and I can see it in her eyes. I'll leave as both of us together will make it worse. Calm her, Kellan!" The door closes, and my wolf whimpers.

"Focus, Elara." Kellan's hands grasp my face.

"Remember your event? Fighting to do it, so you still get points? The kids, remember?"

I nod, but my wolf seems to be driving everything at the minute.

"Okay, focus on something. The event, how many challenges are there?"

My mind fights to find an answer. "Ten." There are ten.

"Good, name one of the physical ones."

"Strength test."

He nods, smiling. "Good, keep naming them, and get ready." He pushes me away, my body stepping forward. "Name another."

Focusing, I search for one. "Agility test." I begin removing my clothes as he holds out the dress.

"Other than physical, what other types of tests are there?"

"Memory tests." I pull the dress on.

"Another one." He gestures at me to continue.

"Emotional test."

"Okay, now take a deep breath. Focus on the event, nothing else, no one else, just the event. How do you feel?"

Focus on the event. It's for the children. Something special, something many don't understand or even know about. My mind focuses on it, and he guides me out of the room.

"Keep focused on something. Don't lose your focus." My heart quickens, feeling him touching me. Moving, I step a few feet away from him. It helps a little bit.

"Okay, no touching you. Got it." He laughs slightly, and I follow him outside. I glance down seeing the snow. I'm not cold. Kellan is a few seconds in front of me.

Reaching down. I grab some snow and throw it at him. He stumbles slightly before turning to me.

"What was that for?" He laughs slightly.

"For taunting me and calling me an Alien."

Nodding, he smiles. "I deserve it; keep focus, I won't touch you. I will stay close, though." Beta Yori and Ash are both closer to me than him. Which sucks, but I get why.
