Chapter 71

Alex’s POV

It’s been a week and a bit and we will be swapping back over with Master Joe, Mum, Aunty Gil and the warriors that were sent to Fungua Pride territory. Master Joe said there have been a few rogue attacks. Beatrice and Paxton have had, another 5 addicts join them. Because of Paxton; they are making sure they don’t hurt anyone, only contain them if they can.

Bronson told mum the attacks have been less frequent since we got there; not sure if that is because of the fight where I died or because they don’t want to fight the forces we have.

Mum, Mum, Yvette, Aunty Gil and Doctor Spencer have found where the drugs were produced and who they sold them to. They were being produced by a pharmaceutical company called Shifter Medicines and sold the drugs to a Bear Clan, Seth and Brian know very well.

They call themselves the Maple Clan. Their leader; Carter is notorious for bad dealings and mob attacks against other clans, prides and packs. We also found out Danny, the bear shifter who sold Nath the drug belongs to this pack.

Thanks to Aunty Gil, she found out Richard belongs to a Dark coven not too far from the Maple Clan. The pretence of my death is still at the pride territory; but thanks to Cathy, Jessica returned with not much more conversation. Adrian is still pissed at Rebecca and Cody for the amount of bruises Cathy came back with.

“Are we all ready to go back” I say to the group as I come into the common room. “Not really; but we have somewhere to follow through on now” Toby answers. “We have to stay here….” Jessi starts as Olivia’s phone goes off. “It’s dad” she says.

“Hello” she answers the call. Her eyes are going wide and tears are welling up in them. She puts him on speaker “Everyone’s here dad, repeat what you just said to me” she says through a few sobs. “There was an attack on the safehouse. Gilda, Leanne, Yvette, Cynthia and Sophia have been taken. Richard instigated it; we think the Maple Clan were the ones who took them because it was a group of Bear shifters. Sharon, Samantha’s sister-in-law was with them.”

“I was very wary of her; she was acting too nice, not bitchy like she normally is” Samantha adds over the receiver. “Was Greg in on it with her?” Toby asks. “I don’t think so; he is still here with Lois their daughter. They are still trying to figure out what part she has to play in all this” she explained.

“Does Tim know?” Jessica asks. “We haven’t told him yet; Can you do that? We want to set a rescue plan into motion” Seth tells us. “I can tell Tim” Toby says. “Why our mothers?” Nathanial asks. “My mother thought it was a good idea to trust Greg and Sharon with information” “I’m sorry; I didn’t know” Judy cries into the receiver. “What did she tell them?” I snarl down the receiver. “She told them we knew who was producing the drugs because the five ladies figured it out” Raoul explains.

“We have Gerry teleporting himself there now; he will teleport you all back here. While that’s happening; we will start the talks to rescue the ladies.” Brian tells us; hanging up the phone.

**“Looks like we will be rising from the dead”** I say to Jonas. **“Good; I didn’t want to sit at home anymore”** he says back to me.

“You have ten minutes everyone and we will be leaving” Toby says pulling out his phone. I mind link Simone; *“Simone, we need you to take care of the kids; get as much help as you need. We have to leave immediately” “What’s happened?”* She links back *“We have to go on a rescue mission; I can’t go into more detail.”*

“Tim’s, leaving in ten also with Elijah, David and their three enforcers” Toby says as we head up to our room to get packed and out the door. Jessi and Olivia should have most of it done for us anyway. They both took off out of the common room like bolts of lightning as soon as Toby said ten minutes.

Jessica’s tear-filled face explains how she is feeling. “Hey, come here” I say to her; putting my arms around her. “We will get them back; I’m rising back from the dead to do so” I smile at her.

“We don’t know what we are dealing with” she says to me “But Seth and Brian do; they are starting to plan a rescue mission. Let’s get going; the sooner we leave the sooner we can get them back.”

We get to the car park; Gerald is waiting out the front for everyone to arrive. “Are you ok Gerry? You look drained” I ask him. “Teleportation takes a lot of energy. I will get us all back and I will be able to rest” he smiles back at me.

“Let’s go everyone; The sooner we get there; the sooner we can get our mother’s back” I call out. **“Ready to become a ghost?”** I laugh at Jonas **“BoooOoooo.”**

Seth’s POV

Brian and myself knew we couldn’t disregard the Maple Clan to be behind the drugs, because of what happened to our clans. We had joining territories and Maple Clan pushed us out of our territories when we allied against him. We underestimated their strength back then. I am not going to underestimate it now.

Carter was a part of my Clan and challenged me for leadership, when my parents passed the leadership onto myself. He lost the battle and took off with a couple of his follows. It was mainly his circle of friends. They grew from there; all his followers had the same bad reputation as Carter; dealing with crooked shifters and doing dodgy businesses. I am not surprised; he is the leader of this drug organisation.

I called a leaders meeting; mainly to give the information I had about Carter and how we can use it to our advantage to get the five ladies back. At the same time; Joe called Alex and Toby to let him know what had happened. We also asked him to tell Tim. We can get things started until they get here.

Samantha had her brother tell us what he knows about Richard. It wasn’t much; he is the pussy whipped tosser, Sam said he was. All he could say is Sharon dealt with him. He won’t even step up and take the responsibility he played in all of this. According to him it’s someone else’s fault. I don’t like people like that.

Samantha and myself should start a club with family members who are fuckwits.

I put up a photo on a projector screen for the rest of the leaders. “Everyone; meet my younger brother, Carter Forrester; leader of the Maple Clan.”
