Chapter 110: Chap.108*The Jealousy In My Veins*
After a few minutes of me awkwardly sitting down and Ava helping Roy to sleep, she was finally back with a very happy mood.
I can't explain the awkwardness between Evan and I this whole time. He did try to make a small talk but my mind and entire attention had been stuck on Ava and my son.
"He is so adorable, he called me a mom." she excitingly spoke to Evan, who shared a smile and then secretly watched me.
"Let’s eat, the food has already turned cold." I laughed awkwardly when I wasn't in the mood to.
And finally, they started eating and once we had finished the food, it was already 10:49.
"So, Ava!" I was taking the last bite of my food, when I mumbled to get her attention.
"Yes?" she had a smile on her face whilst she was still stuffing her mouth with food.
"So what were you speaking to Desmond about?" I played with my fork but I could tell I had left her speechless, "you guys have been talking a lot at night times, so I was wondering what is it about?" I finally lifted my face and stared her in the eye. They were all watching my face in confusion, they suspected now that something was not right.
"Ay---leen!" she coughed a little, yes! She had no answers, "I don't know what you are talking about?" she lied whilst making a direct eye contact with me.
"Ava! I caught Desmond talking to you. So, what is it about? What did you want to talk to me about?" my voice had turned stern as I dropped the fork in the plate.
"I knew it!" as Ava was too shocked to respond, Evan intervened.
"I knew there was something wrong. I have seen the crazy in your eyes, we shouldn't have come here." Evan had leaned back in the chair and didn't break the eye contact with me.
"I don't understand," Ava was still clueless at what was just going on.
"She didn't change a bit; she is the same psycho as she had always been." Evan's words hurt my feelings, how dare he called me that when he was the one who played games on me.
"Evan!" Ava was still in her best acting, pretending to act like she was my friend.
"Stop it! I know what you want. You thought I forgot all the messy stuff you have done to me?" I shouted and that's when Mrs. Brown quickly approached us with a hot coffee in a tray. She had left to get us coffees when we started the conversation.
"What is happening?" she inquired but I ignored her. Getting up from my seat I slammed the table to scare off Ava.
"YOU ALL PLAYED ME. YOU WANT DESMOND, HIS WEALTH AND EVEN MY BABY." I was screaming at the top of my lungs when Evan stood up to defend his bit** girlfriend.
"That’s enough now!" he gestured to Mrs. Brown, "she needs to rest." a weird look appeared on his face as I knew what he was asking for. He was asking Mrs. Brown to drug me. Who the heck was he to decide what I needed? As Mrs. Brown didn't waste a single minute before pulling a needle out of her bag, I started panicking.
"No!" I yelled, taking the hot coffee mugs and quickly splashing it in Ava's lap along with the tray.
Her screams hit the air and I stepped back from the table. My eyes were at her face as she screamed out of pain.
"Arghh!" she shouted again, Evan rushed to help her and once he realized what I've done, he glared at me and lunged my way.
I further stepped back from him and swiftly began to spring back into the mansion. Luckily, Evan couldn't follow me anymore and both Mrs. Brown and Evan were left out with Ava. I locked the door from inside and rushed upstairs to lock myself with Roy.
I know I shouldn't have gone this far, but she needed to back off. How dare they thought they could drug me again and probably record me and do stuff to me and later call it my imagination.
I hid beside the bed and started sobbing in fear. I have left my cellphone somewhere too, but I was too afraid to go and look for it.
My heart was pounding loudly in my chest as I knew Evan would come for me soon. It was still 11:30, so Desmond was not returning any time soon and my mind was filled with countless concerns.
Every second a noise was made, I thought Evan and broken inside the mansion. I slowly crawled towards the window and saw their car still parked outside.
Why weren't they leaving? Why not go and get Ava help? And then it struck me.
What have I done?
Why did I do that?
"No!" I uttered under my breath, my tears had been soaking my cheeks while I grasped my hair in a fist full and pulled my hair in exhaustion. What the heck was I thinking when I invited them over? did i really think Ava will tell me everything and not resist?
"Why did I do that?" I whispered in whimpers, not letting Roy to wake up.
It was all my fault; how could I do that?
What would happen now? When Desmond will arrive and see what I did, he will be so disappointed in me. He will think I'm crazy, oh yes! He will think it was a mistake to let me out of the hospital.
I knelt down with the bed again and wrapped my arms around my head as I rested my face on the bed and my body sitting upward on the floor.
I finally dozed off, imagine how tired I was to be able to sleep in such a worrisome situation.
I woke up to the bedroom door being pounding nonstop. I watched the door with terror filled eyes and a gasp escaped my lips when the door was broken down and he came in.
"I di---," I quickly hugged myself and tears streamed down my cheeks, "ple---," I couldn't even make a full word out of my mouth.
The anger in his eyes had me scared. I don't know what he was going to do now, but I was scared of him.
I shouldn't have invited them over, I should have known they were too clever to fall for my game.
"You!" he bitterly spoke and then rushed my way very aggressively.
