Chapter 119: Wedding

Victoria's POV

I held his gaze and realized all the anger in me were all gone, which baffled me because I was supposed to hate him. ''Are you okay?'' Alpha Derick asked when he must have noticed me staring at Bernard. ''Yes, yes.'' I responded quickly and averted my gaze from him.

''Welcome.'' As usual, alpha Lin stood at the front of the hall. ''We are here for the peace talk between the vampires and werewolves, hopefully it turns out successful.'' He paused and moved his gaze around before he continues. ''We all know why we are here, so let's just go straight to the point.'' He said and got an approving nod from everyone.

After making a long speech on how the two races should be at Peace, he got an applause from everyone and went back to his seat.

The next person who came on stage was Bernard. At first, he sucked in a deep breath and moved his gaze around before clearing his throat. ''Good day, I'll be speaking on behalf of the vampires.'' He paused and met my gaze. ''The enmity between the vampires and werewolves has lasted for more than a thousand years, and we believe now is the time to put an end to it. During the period of this enmity between us, there was nothing we both could achieve in it. Rather, we hated and kill each other. A vampire and a werewolf could not be together despite being mates just because of a ridiculous enmity which was of no benefits to us…'' He said and got an approving nod from everyone. ''I believe a werewolf and vampire are allowed to fall in love and raise a family, we should be allowed to make friends with each other, damn this hatred and damn this enmity.'' He yelled and got a loud groan from few people in the hall. '' With this, I raise the motion to put an end to the hatred between us, thank you.'' He said and walked out of the stage while he received claps of applause from everyone except me, Who has mixed feelings in my heart about the hatred I have for him.

After Bernard's speech, few vampires and werewolves came on stage and elaborated on how the enmity between us has caused havoc and to that they raise the motion of ending the enmity.

After hours of long talks, we all came to the conclusion of ending the enmity between us through the signature of our blood. Eight werewolves are to sighed under their name using their blood as a signature while eight vampires by birth will do the same for all the vampires, since they are the Only ones who have a real blood running in their veins.

The document of reconciliation and Peace was read out to everyone's hearing before it was set on the table for it to be signed. ''Lady Victoria.'' My name was the first name to be called. Reluctantly, I stood on my feet and walked to the table. I picked up a new blade from the table, cut my thumb with it, and placed my bleeding thumb under my name before deposing the blade in the trash. ''Alpha Derick.'' His name was being called as I made my way back to my seat.

He did the same and came back to the seat. ''Is your thumb still bleeding?'' He asked while I shook my head. Other werewolves and vampires signed with their thumbs, including Bernard.

After the document was signed, a few minutes of peace talk was held, before the gathering came to an end as werewolves and vampires chat happily among themselves. ''It's time to leave.'' Alpha Derick said as we both stood on our feet, ready to leave, but Bernard stood before us. ''Hello Victoria.'' He greeted with a blank look on his face, ''Not now, Bernard, I don't want to spoil this mood.'' I said those words firmly and walked away while Alpha Derick walked behind me. We quickly left the hall and got to the car, and Anthony drove off. After several minutes of silence, Alpha Derick spoke up. ''You will have to forgive him.'' He said, while I groaned and looked outside the mirror. Deep down in me, I knew the anger I have for him has died down, but I just wouldn't accept it.

Two weeks Later

I stared at the mirror, smiling at the reflection of myself. My heart was pounding, but not of fear but of joy. Withing few minutes, I would be getting married to the love of my life, alpha Derick.

''You look beautiful in white.'' Jane's spoke up, announcing her presence. Smiling happily, I stood on my feet and turned to her, ''I'm glad alpha Derick agreed for we to be wedded this way.'' I said, while Jane scoffed, and said, ''Like he can ever say no to your request.'' I chuckled at her words and stared at the mirror one more time. ''Where is my father.'' I asked, ''He will be here soon, but before that, someone wants to see you.'' She said and turned to the door, ''You can come in.'' with curiosity I stared at the door and saw it opened. With dumbfounded eyes, I saw Bernard stepped in and closed the door behind him.

''What is he doing here?'' I asked while moving my gaze to Jane, ''Calm down, he just wants to talk.'' She pleaded. Sighing heavily, I turned to Bernard and we both held each other gaze. ''You look amazing.'' He said with a weak smile, which I did not return. Silence filled the room for a moment before he spoke up, ''I'm sorry, I'm sorry for what happened…'' He paused and ran his fingers through his hair. ''I know no amount of apology can make up for the things I did, but I hope you can forgive me.'' He pleaded and took a step forward. ''I was blinded by the love I have for you and did unthinkable things which I would love to regret, but please forgive me.'' He pleaded and held my gaze. Silence filled the room as none of us said a word until I spoke up. ''I forgive you, Bernard.'' I said and took his both hands in mine, ''You were there when I needed help, I don't know what would have happened to me if you didn't show up that day, and for that, I would be deeply grateful to you.'' I flashed him a big smile and continued, ''I hope we can continue to be friends.'' I said and got an approving nod from him.

Smiling widely, I gave him a tight hug and leaned closer to his left ear, ''You will meet a very special girl that will love you unconditionally.'' I whispered those words to him and pulled away. ''Thank you!'' He said, while I just nod my head. ''Will you stay for the wedding.'' I asked, even though I knew his answer. ''No, I'm sorry.'' He said while I nod my head and flickered him a warm smile.'' You both are lucky to have each other. See you some other time.'' He said, and turned to Jane, signalling her it was time for him to leave. ''I'll be back.'' Jane said those words to me, held Bernard by the arms, and they both teleported away.

Heaving a deep breath, I smiled to myself, happy with the way things turned out to be. A knock came on the door before it was slightly opened and dad walked in with a proud smile on his face.

''My Angel.'' He said as he took few steps closer to me.'' You look beautiful.'' He said and placed a kiss on my forehead. ''Thanks dad.'' I said and picked up my flower. ''Are you ready.'' He asked, ''Yes!'' I blurted out happy.

''Let's go, I believe he must be running out of patience by now.'' I laughed Loudly at Dad's words, and walked out of the room with him.

''One, two three.'' I whispered those words as I was becoming nervous. I walked out of the room with Dad and walked towards the garden where the wedding was taking place. I saw smiles on everyone's faces as they noticed my presence.

Slowly, I took a step while I fixed my gaze on alpha Derick, who did the same. He smiled widely at me as I took more steps towards him. I met eyes with aunt Laura who flashed me a big smile, and met eyes with Clinton who smiled widely at me. With heart fluttering with joy, I moved my gaze back to Alpha Derick as father handed me to him.

''I Love you.''he whispered almost to himself, but I heard him. ''I love you more.'' I whispered back.

The priest stood before us and said the marriage vows, while we repeated after him.

''It's time for the couples to exchange their rings.'' Chris gave the ring to Derick who took it and turned to me, He took my hand and put the diamond ring on my finger while the crowd cheered smiling happily, I took out the ring from the box, took his hand and put the ring in his finger.

''You may kiss your bribe.'' Alpha Derick did not let the priest finish his words before he pulled me to himself and sealed our lips together.

He kissed me so passionately and tenderly before breaking the kiss. I heard cheers and claps from our guest as alpha Derick gave me a tight hug and whispered how much he loves me into my ear. We said our greetings to our guests, cut our wedding cake and made some toasts before the wedding came to an end.

Alpha Derick and I exchange pleasantries with the guests before I decided to go back to our bedroom to rest. I made my way to our bedroom and was almost at our bedroom door when Jane called out to me.

''Vicky, I have a present for you.'' she said those words with a mischievous smirk on her face which raised suspicions, ''What is it.'' I asked as I took the bag from her. Jane moved closer to my ear and whispered, ''Do well to look sexy for him tonight.'' She said with a chuckle and walked away.

As I stepped into the room, I noticed the room was decorated with red lights and candle, while red roses were on the bed. Smiling widely, I took off my wedding dress, opened the bag Jane gave me and saw that she gifted me red transparent underwear. Smiling widely, I picked up a towel and strolled into the bathroom to take a quick bath.

I lay on the bathtub and slowly washed my body before leaving the bathtub.

I dried my body with a towel and glared at the underwear given to me by Jane. Slowly I put on the bra and noticed my breast could be seen through the transparent lace. I smiled and thought of Alpha Derick reaction before putting on the pant.

I was about leaving the bathroom, but just then I heard footsteps which I knew belongs to alpha Derick.

Nervously, I bite my lips and quickly tied a towel on my chest before leaving the bathroom.

I stepped into the room and saw alpha Derick taking off his shoes. He met eyes with me and flashed me a big smile before taking off his wristwatch.

''I've already booked a ticket for us to go to France, that's your choice, right.''

''Yeah.'' I smiled nervously and stood With weak feet like a virgin who was about to have sex for the first time. I noticed Alpha Derick's gaze on me as he took off his clothes until he was left with just his underwear. ''I'll go take a quick bath.'' He said and gave me a quick kiss on the lip before going into the bathroom.

Sighing in relief, I sat on the bed with the towel wrapped around my chest. Nervously, I bite my fingers like a kid. I was nervous, really nervous.

Few minutes later, The bathroom door opened, and Alpha Derick walked in with a towel wrapped on his waist.

He met eyes with me and smiled widely at me while he took a few steps closer to me.

''Stand up.'' He said, and lifted me up from the bed by my hands.

''You are nervous.'' he said, while I Slowly nodded my head, embarrassed. Smiling widely, He kissed me on my Forehead before he cupped my cheek with his both hands.

''You don't have to be shy. It's me, your Derick and no one else.'' Hearing those words from him, I nodded my head and smiled widely at him.

''If you are tired, we can just go to bed and have a nice sleep…'' I did not let him finish before I quickly cut in

''I want you.'' I mumbled quickly as I bite my lower lip

''Stop doing that, it turns me on.'' He groaned, while I smiled shyly and tried to look away, but he held my face and made me stared at him.

''You don't know how long I've been waiting for this moment. To finally have you as my wife'' He whispered seductively into my ear, which made cold shivers ran down my spine.
